Thank you for the reviews of the Philips WhiteVision Ultra.
My choices were WhiteVision/WhiteVision Ultra/DiamondVision. After watching all your videos on the comparisons, I have opted for WhiteVision Ultra as it has great visibility and nice white-ish color which is what I'm after. It is a shame about the lifespan it says it provides but value for money it is worth it.
Just ordered my set and keen to try them out.
Thanks for your comprehensive reviews!
Great visibility is something that WVU don't have, but if you like them, that's all that matters. the same is with DiamondVision.
It was a matter of time but again, anpther great review! Thumbs up for all the work!
Thank you so much for the appreciation and support! Kind words from people like you keep me wanna do these reviews further on! I wish you all the best!
You're welcome and thank you for your kinds words as well. Is it an idea that you become a Patreon so we can support you financially? What you could do with the funds is buying for e.g. the PIAA bulbs to compare them.
@@DaMarcusNL Thank you for the suggestion also. I tried to do so with Patreon, but it didn't work. I still have the account but no donations :) So I removed the link from the description. This was it: www.patreon.com/m3rovingian
You're a legend mate! Thanks for review
Thank toy so much!. I am honored and overwhelmed by your kind words, appreciation and support! I wish you all the best!
In trecut mi s-a spus ca parca-i electrica, atunci cand o miscam primntr-o parcare. Numai bine!
Care vi se pare mai puternic? Vision ultra sau ? Mulțumesc
@@zbelby Nu merita cumparat WhiteVision Ultra.
@@zbelby Cu multa placere, oricand!
Hi, so eventually, do you prefer WhiteVision Ultra over standard WhiteVision? I'd like to change my H7's for some whitish ones, I use them only after dark, since I use LED's for daylight driving.
No. Stay away from them. They are weak in rain and wet roads.
Get Whitevision 3700k as halogens but don't expect pure white light
@@m3rovingian Thanks! Are WhiteVision 3700k even slightly better than standard yellow halogens? After dark I have LED's and H7's on, and the difference between their colors looks badly.
@@martinoo1989 They are way better than standard halogens but again, don't expect them to perform like the LEDs because you'll be dissapointed. Otherwise they are the best imo.
Can you tell what are the best ones to drive at night, i'm a bit blind so i need strong H7 and H1 for my vectra wich ones you recomend, thx
Philips WhiteVision 3700k everywhere.
Great video just bought these
You should've ask me before you made the purchase :) I don't recommend them on rain.
Thanks for great video, i have a mercedes GLA 2016 with
reflector lamp and just bought a pair or H7 WV 3700K and they are way
whiter and brighter than the oem philips which was installed. i am so
happy with them. My car has another pair of light which is acting as day
time light and high beam , i think it is H15. is there any white H15
bulb exist ? Thanks
I don't think so. Try to buy a Philips H15 no matter the type. You'll get the best quality.
Hey there, I'm looking for new H7 bulbs for my 2007 Volkswagen Polo (reflector headlights). Which ones do you suggest me to get? I want something as white as possible but bright enough.
THe best halogen is Philips RacingVision GT200, but they are not white. If you want white light and amazing brightness get LUXSTER 2024 Punisher LED amzn.to/3pnRgtl If you want a cheaper alternative but still amazing, get HIKARI Core-12 LED amzn.to/3Qzo2kI

@@snoweleta2201 Philips RacingVision GT200 for the price, performance and quality of the bulb.
What can you tell us about the bulbs for standing lights which are included in the box?
They are nothing special aside from the blue exterior color :) the light will still be strong yellow and dim like any other simple parking light.
Hey around 6:45 I'm stuck there. The headlight bulbs do not want to slide out from where they are. It feels like they are stuck. How did you get them out
Nice and easy, by swivel them out of the plastic tooth that hold them. You get it right as you do it more often.
My bad it was a stupid question lol I kept working at it for 5 mins and finally got them out. They are also white vision, not the ultra kind. Daytime looks kinda yellow, can't wait to try them at night. I had sylvania ultra vision before.
@@jalenhood4941 Very well
I have a Mercedes GLA 2016 (UK) which takes H7, in 2021 I seen your video and bought white vision, which I was very happy, two days ago one of them died (after 3 years), I was very happy with them so I wanted to buy another one, but I found out I cannot find them anymore. I check all amazon etc... but I could not find them, it seems there is only white vision ultra. so, I thought I am going to give it a chance. I have just received them, and it seems it is slightly changed now. for example, the two w5w bulbs which comes in the pack are moved to the top of the packing so it is not behind the label anymore and it can be seen inside the case. also, and more importantly this white vision ultra pack shows 400 hours rather than 200 hours life. so, I assume they have re designed it. I am going to fit them and will update on the light output.
You won't like them on rain, I can assure you, and especially in UK you get that a lot. They don't have anything to do with the old favorite WhiteVision, unfortunately.
I have fit them now. At the moment it is not raining. I will update as soon as it rains. Do you have a link in uk for old white vision?
@@ramarahimi6535 No, I don't. They stopped their production for years.

Apologies if you bought them. It was my first thought of them when I tested them on dry roads, but when the first rain came I realized how bad they are.

Philips will always be better in the build quality in the same tier of halogens. Time will tell about the lifespan. Otherwise the light is very similar.
Did you think about testing non-homologated Philips H7 X-treme Ultinon LED? I'm thinking about finish my adventures with searching good, cold white halogene bulbs and try them...
They are not worth the money I assure you. I also think they are very dim for a LED. Get the WVUltra. I like them very much.
@@m3rovingian Philips X-treme Ultinon LED have really cold white about 6000K. They have also a decent cut-off line as the first LED retrofits, similar to halogens. What is more, Philips presented the second generation with new diodes, so I'm waiting - I said "enough" for halogens with cold white color, because they are always dissapointing me. Anyway how do you compare White Vision Ultra to White Vision? Are they better, are they the best as halogens in your opinion? Because I'm searching halogens for high beam.
@@slayerLoLmusic I like WVUltra so far. I want to see how much they will last. Then I will know for sure.
@@slayerLoLmusic have you bought your high beam halogen bulbs?
Hello !
when the test Philips WhiteVision 3700k vs Philips WhiteVision Ultra 4200k ?
I will bring the comparison in the days that will follow
Installed these in my mk7 golf but they are just as yellow as the old bulbs. Could it be a problem with the actual headlights?
They are colder that standard bulbs for sure, it's just that you expected them to be pure xenon white light
m3rovingian i thought oem xenons are 4300k. These are 4200k so should be pretty similar right?
@@shotta287 no. Xenon are on another level. Can't equal the 2.
If you have projectors they will always be kinda yellow, with sort of same output of light (hence the OEM Xenons are 4300K to match halogen - driveable in any weather condition - 6000K will perform worse in rain, or fog or any dense weather)!
Said halogen H7 bulbs will always perform worse in projectors than in regular headlights, just look why manufacturers put LED in reflectors!! Only HID is meant for projectors due to the high Lumens an HID bulb produces.
@@drazman9 Still the OEM LEDs are different from the aftermarket ones. They are not places in reflectors. They are incased in a headlight but have their own way of projecting the light not by reflecting it from the usual halogen mirrored side panels.
But yeah, in projectors it's good to have a higher intensity light than the one of a halogen so you'll be able to take advantage of the sharp cut off line. You don't have to worry about blinding anyone.
Hi what do you recommend for opel astra j 2011
What H fitting do you have on your car?
H7 fitting
@@dhimitriag1919 Get Philips RacingVision GT200. They won't be white but at this moment they are the best choice for halogens.
Why do you like the 3700 version more than the 4200 version ?
Just to make it clear WV 3700k and WV ultra 4200k are totally different, not different versions of the same bulb.
the 4200 ultra in this video is dim and bad on wet roads, that's why I recommend only WV 3700k.

Living in Wales were it rains a lot, i guess these WhiteVision would be no good. Are the Osram night breaker laser better in the rain? Love your informative videos 👍🏼
WhiteVision Ultra 4200K would not be good. But if you can find WhiteVision 3700K at a decent price they would be very good. If not get the cheapest out of Philips RacingVision GT200 or OSRAM Night Breaker 200.
I’ve also bought them for my Golf mk7 2013, but the bulb has the same color as th previous ones... they are not even white. Maybe because of the lens?
You had too great er expectations from it. only the LEDs or xenon are good enough with the white light. the halogens that are pure white are 5000k and are very din and illegal because you can get into a accident with them.
Same with me on mine. Yellow like my old bulbs. I wonder if my headlights have an issue
So if you lived somewhere where it rains very little or ever, you'd still buy these over anything else?
No, I'd get WhiteVision 3700k or RacingVision GT200. Where do you live? In the desert?
@@m3rovingian haha if only, the North of England where it rains quite regularly! 😆 I asked because your reaction in the video is you love them but after reading the comments it was only after driving in the wet conditions you unfortunately changed your mind on them. I have them in currently and I don't mind them in the rain too much, I have projectors in an Abarth which I think the popular opinion is they are not great headlamps but the WVU look nice, better than stock bulbs. I did try Osram CBB which look great during the day but like your other reviews on them bulbs are truly awful and dim, terrible in the wet - makes the WVU feel bright in the wet compared! Are gt200 or NBL genuinely any (noticeably) brighter than WVU? Apologies for the long comment 🙏🏼
@@PSHARPE1 Yeah, I was wrong the first time before I drove them on rain. After seeing their low performance on wet road I had to tell my impression. Back then I didn't had the light meter for measurements.
For real. Their light is warmer but way better, especially on bad weather. I'd get RV GT200.
@@m3rovingian yea, I'm happy with the WVU to be honest, but curiosity always gets the better of me and I'll no doubt try the RV200, thank you for replying so quickly to my questions, I've enjoyed watching your videos, big thumbs up from me 👍🏼
@@PSHARPE1 Thank you as well. Just keep in mind the light will considerably warmer and yellowish compared to WVU.

Ești cu faza lunga sau cea scurta?
Faza scurta. Am si clipuri cu faza lunga, insa mentionez asta in titlu. In video arata mult mai bine decat in realitate.
