Hello! Second semester rad tech student from Houston, TX here.
Just wanted to clarify for others who are interested (this is based off my program).
- Practicum: this is my clinical rotation class, so this is where I go to a clinic site and observe and get my practice in a real life setting
- Principles of imaging/exposure: this class is one I am currently taking. The subjects are how OID, SID, exposure with grid vs no grid, and different variables can affect the imaging. (A pretty interesting interesting class IMO)
Overall, the program has been challenging but has been very worth it. I think this is a great career to get into since there are so many things that you can do.
Thank you for the constant information of the rad tech life!
Yo!
Thank you so much for this breakdown my subscribers appreciate it!
Thanks again for your support & you’re going to be a GREAT Technologist! ☢️💯
Hello! Curious question did you have any background in the medical field before hand? If so, in your opinion, for someone who hasn’t had any experience in the medical field, will this career be possible

Ok so No I didn’t have any medical field experience but that’s why you do clinicals rotations during your program.
That gives you the experience 🙏🏽
Hope this helped 🙏🏽
@@juanmotiva8s959 Hey man thanks for the reply! Ok but I’m assuming you did prior medical knowledge?? Or did you learn everything you know now solely because of the program??
@robbyg4737 Hey bro when I decided to go to Radiology Tech school I didn’t have any idea what I was getting myself into .. Lol
I learned everything I know from scratch (Clinicals)
Hope this helped bro 🙏🏽

Ok so yes you have to take all the classes. I probably meant we start with 20 students but end up with 11 students because they drop out.
Sorry if I confused you 🙏🏽

Hey i am interested in radiology and I’m currently taking my pre reqs for the program to start in 2025. I was curious on how much anatomy is actually needed once you graduate and get a job?

You will forever need to know anatomy.
Hope this helped 🙏🏽
@@juanmotiva8s959 Yea my program requires only intro to anatomy, but im going to try to get A's in Anatomy I & II so I will know it really well before i start
Is it possible to study for a career in radiology online or does it have to be in person? I’ve really been looking into this I’m tired of Amazon 🤣
Yo sup my boy!
Man unfortunately there’s no On-Line Radiology Program.
Now maybe you can work only on weekends and go to Radiology School Monday - Friday if that’s possible ok your current life situation.
Follow me on TikTok bro under same name “Juanmotiv8s” I will start going live soon
Hello sir hope you are fine and healthy i ask a question i am radiology technologist in pakistan and i want to further study in radiolgy Which subject is best for me in USA

Ok so in order for you to become an X-Ray tech here in the 🇺🇸 you have to come here and go to school for 2 - 3 years and take the ARRT here and pass the exam to become a certified X-Ray tech ☢️
Hope this helped 🙏🏽
@@juanmotiva8s959 sir i have done my Bs degree in radiography and i want to Master in radiology in usa can i clear ARRT exam after master ? Sir
Are you just a rad tech, or do you have CT, MRI accreditations as well? Looking into becoming a rad tech and cross training to be an mri tech on the job.
Yo!
Welcome 🙏🏽

So I am RT & CT but no MRI.
I would definitely start as an RT & then cross train or go to school for CT/MRI here in Florida there’s a school in Miami where you can become a CT or MRI tech in only 3 months but that’s once your a certified Radiologist Technologist.
Hope this helped 🙏🏽
PS. Follow me on TikTok under same name “Juanmotiv8s” growing that so I can go live and help people 🙏🏽
Hi Juan, do you know if there are any online aart radiography schools i could attend? I know that you'd have to do clinicals in person but could you do coursework online first.
Hi 👋
Thanks for watching
Please remember to Subscribe, Watch & Like 👍🏽 my videos it helps reach more people 🙏🏽
Ok so no there’s no Radiologu Technologist Program on-line due to the fact that once in the program it’s usually a full time commitment with Class & Hospital Clinical Rotations.
Hope this helped 🙏🏽
@@juanmotiva8s959 Hi Juan! Thanks for the help. I was looking at AART boards website and noticed that to take the specialty path for CT, MRI, and XRay one could have a degree in Radiation Therapy. I know there are some online radiation therapy schools like Amarillo College. Do you think I could get a Radiation Therapy degree and then from there study and take the boards for Xray, CT, and MRI? Thank you Juan!
@tycoon1661 Hi 👋
Ok so if you go into Radiation Therapy School most people stay at those careers because they get paid the most out of any imaging speciality.
For ex… Radiation Therapy Techs make about $90-100K per year
CT tech - $60-75K year
MRI - $70-80K year
X-Ray - $50-65K per year.
Salaries vary depending on locations but if you can get into Radiation therapy go and stay in that because like I mentioned because it pays the most and it’s a great work/Life balance.
Those other 3 - X-ray , CT & MRI comes with a lot of hard hospital work and having to be on-call & that’s sucks‼️
Hope this helped 🙏🏽
@@juanmotiva8s959 Thanks for getting back with me. Sounds like it is possible to get AART certified in x-ray, CT, and MRI shortly afterward Radiation Therapy school. I really would just like to have options. So in case the emotional stress from radiation therapy becomes too much I could go back into MRI, CT, X-ray scanning. Thank you Juan.
What’s the difference radiologic technologist and radiologist, which one gets pay more?
Yo!
Welcome 🙏🏽

Ok so the difference:
Radiology Technologist- 2 Year school & they take the pictures/Images
Pay - $50-70K per year.
Radiologist- 12+ years of school (Doctors) they read the images & get paid $300-500K+ per year.
Thats the difference and I hope this helped 🙏🏽
@@juanmotiva8s959 oh I see. Do you have anything recommendation of which field to into MRI, CAT or RT? I live in California I didn’t see any X rays schools out here. Thanks my friend.
