One question that I always ask myself when I face negative thoughts or doubts is: What evidence is there for these thoughts? This helps me to zoom out and realize most of the time these thoughts are just, well thoughts. Also, celebrate your successes. As I am a person who likes to challenge himself I find it hard to say ‘’You did a good job, Albert”. But I realized by doing so, you will feel much happier. Everyone one of you can do this! You are an amazing storyteller and inspired me to also start a channel. I am nowhere near your level. But then again: what evidence is there for not give it a try? Keep going with your content!

I love those insights. But beware of not forming an undesired habit. Great ideas start with a single thought and the more you enforce that idea the more likely you are to manifest that thought into the reality you think about.

Yes, exactly. People have a lot of thoughts so it’s stupid to assume for even half of them to be true. You don’t always have to trust your thoughts. You don’t always have to care about your thoughts if you feel like they are intrusive and negative.

It's bizarre how most times we even know we are not what we are setting for but being in the comfort zone is somehow secure even though it hurts to be stuck, taking risks and exposing ourselves is as well...

    • @TheRealWurstCase

there is absolutely nothing wrong about the comfort zone. Life is about balance. You shouldn't be living all the time outside of your comfort zone and neither should you stay in it all the time. taking calculated risks and also reap the rewards is what matters. what you are describing is guilt for not doing something or doing something else instead - this is by far even worse than staying in your comfort zone, if you can't even enjoy it

@@TheRealWurstCase Joey made a video on the comfort zone once. Long story short, by deliberately doing things that are juuust outside your comfort zone, they eventually become part of your comfort zone. I’m not usually one to comment on UA-cam videos, but this spoke to me. I’ve been doing some reshaping of my brain and imposter syndrome for the person you want to be is a very real thing. As a younger, less “popular” brother myself, I’ve definitely internalized that. I’ve always felt like an “introvert by force” and whenever I act the way I wish I would I get overcome with anxiety and guilt for not being “me”. But I’m going to keep making myself uncomfortable in small ways to slowly become the person I’m supposed to be.

You need to edit and post that video to UA-cam!", or "Ellary, why are you so stupid?" and instead tell myself all the things that I'm proud of and have overcome. It's really made a lot of difference in both my confidence and mental health. I noticed that things immediately started to get better for me, even in just a short time. I've had to deal with severe major depression and anxiety my whole life and I've worked very hard on rewriting my brain. A negative thought would come by and I have learned to say, "this feeling is real, but it may not be true." And I now face the negative feelings as they come instead of letting them build up. It has gotten to the point now where I don't even have to try to do this anymore, my brain does it automatically. I'll be going through my day and an intrusive negative thought will pop into my head and literally I react shocked and think to myself, "Woah there, edge lord. Chill out it's not that bad we are fine and we are safe." I have found that a lot of this is just learning to have conversations with yourself and mediate yourself.

You read my mind with this video! I accidentally became agoraphobic 6 months ago. Right at the end of December I changed the story I was telling myself and it’s been working wonders. I had tried to use exposure therapy to get over this but I would end up at square one time and time again so this time I had an idea. I would stop telling myself I’m agoraphobic and I did that through having a plan to leave the house every day this year. Even if I’m not feeling well do a small trip around the block and as long as I do that then how can I be agoraphobic. Would an agoraphobic person be out of the house every day in a year while even doing two trips a day some times and I was like well no. It’s only been 1 month and I’ve been across town a handful of times where less than a month ago I couldn’t keep it together going around the block. This changing the story we tell our selves is so powerful and truly an amazing thing.

Over the last few months I have gone through some really difficult times as I lost my father at the age of 21, that too after 2020 which already had such a huge mental effect. I have tried really hard to be strong during this tough time by meditating, reading Non-Fiction, working out etc. But in spite of all this it has still been very difficult which triggered a very negative point of view of myself, but this video directly addressed it and I am very thankful to you for creating deep, meaningful content.

Because I’ve been so busy working 60 hours per week on school and my business, I started to feel like I was an anti social introvert and became very awkward just because it fit my negative narrative. Went to a small dance over the weekend and the old me came back with a vengeance. My group of 3 guys that showed up together ended up being the life of the party, and I had about 10 different people come to me for my phone number. I find it funny that we can convince ourselves of such BS when it only takes a few hours for evidence to prove that the negative thoughts are totally untrue.

I've seen this video two months ago - and my life changed ever since in a way that I didn't thought was possible. The video itself didn't change anything - you won't improve anything in your life by just watching self-improvement videos but the video encouraged me to just do the things I always wanted to do but never found the courage to do - and do them over and over again until it feels naturally to me. Repetition is such a powerful tool to change your perception - just think about advertising industry who are using repetition to manipulate people so they want to buy a certain product. You can use those exact same mechanics to improve yourself - keep going. It's worth it.

Brain first create a problem and then waste its time solving that problem and its a vicious circle
It always tries to eliminate any possible threat whether physical or imaginary .
So to cope with that there is a need to understand the rules or laws upon which mind functions

i started feeling bad when i am open and communicative with other people because
my brain told me: "that is not you, you are faking it- you are not an open person. Stop being
like that." this gave me a good view that i am what i want to be and not what my brain tells me.
It is really hard tho to realize that there is no reason of you having to act a certain way because "thats you".

I am big fan! Thank you for all the input you share with the world.
Your humble way of presenting your findings, feelings and ideas will never be met.
It feels so much more honest that you don't claim to know it all and have this one perfect trick, noone would believe ( 😉 ).
You showing that improving oneself is a constant task to work on makes it feel like kind of a hobby instead of a crushing burden.
I took away from your videos that it is always worth giving it another go and how nice being happy with the achievments you make along the way is.
On top of all that, the videos are very well made and appealing to watch.
Also, on a side note , you seem to be a very nice guy.
    So that's it.
Bottom line: Thank you and all the best for your way
