I love my M50 & recently purchased M6 MKII cameras!! I recently saw a review of the 15-45mm kit lens, and was amazed at seeing how sharp it was at 15mm both in the center and the corners!! I'm seeing new videos about both cameras with fantastic cinematic footage. The M6 MKII blows my mind with how beautifully cinematic it's 4K footage can be!! Thanks for this video!
I would love to pick the M6 Mark II 1 day but I'm waiting for the prices to go way wayyyy down as they tend to when there's a drop in demand haha. I haven't been particularly fond of the M50 if I'm honest just because I don't see much of a quality and usability difference compared to the M100. Still a great camera on it's own but I'm hoping to be an owner of the M6 Mark II 1 soon! Thanks for watching!
You are totally right on EF-M!! According to the magazine Digital Camera World the Canon M mount is alive and going strong as of March 15, 2023. Canon reports it will keep making them due to high demand as they are big sellers in Asia and North America especially the M50. The reason is the lenses are still much smaller than the R mount in the latest R10 and R7, and many consumers want compact cameras at a good price, and the M bodies are small too. I offered my 15 year old son a newer camera but he preferred using my Canon M6 for its small size and lens for his content creation. General content creators and vloggers like small bodies and lenses also. I would guess the pros are more into the new R mirrorless which can be more expensive than the m50, but the pros should not dismiss the appearl of the very compact size of the M mount to the vast consumer base.
Well said! I think the M cameras are really underrated as the vast majority only focus on specs and sensor size. Not to mention price!
The EF-M options great as well for their size! As long as Canon doesn't produce an RF equivalent for the EF-M 22mm f2 and the 32mm f1.4 while maintaining the size and price, I will keep my EF-M equipment.
My parents bought me an EOS M3 as a graduation present back in 2015 and it's the only "professional" camera (professional as in, not an iPhone camera) that I have. I have the 22mm and 18-55mm lens (the two were part of the kit deal back then), and I have taken this camera set-up all over the world ever since. I am not a professional by any means; I know nothing about photography. But I like to take pictures of my family, friends, and locations in HQ, at least in a better quality than iPhone cameras. The lightweight and compact size has been serving me well all these years, and it's still going strong! My EOS M3 will continue to stay with me until I can no longer press buttons at an old age lol
I recently bought the ef-m 22mm pancake lens for my m100. I've gotten back into street photography and this combo is terrific. The price / size / performance can't be beat.
I've had that exact setup for the last 2 years and I honestly couldn't believe how cheap it was. Not to mention it's size! The EF-M system was actually a pretty good system
I have the same setup for my gym Instagram reels & for traveling lol the size is just awesome.
I love the EF m....easy to adapt and works great...keep up the good work
I’m loving my M50ii with the 55-200 lens. All good for my needs.
I just got that lens a couple of months ago! Such an underrated lens. Love the portability and quality of it!
I love my m50 and I just bought my 50mm today! 😊
Oh that lens is literally the definition of being a bang for your buck! Hope you're having fun with it!
@@walter_fernandez omg! Walter I sure am. The pictures are amazing and the videos. 😎😎
blessings!
My Canon M6 mark II is the last camera I will ever buy.
For most people, it's actually all they need. It's got everything for good video specs to good autofocus to fantastic photography workflow!
Good video man, I subbed
Appreciate it, Nick! 😊
I have 2 M6M2! I use it for video with the Sigma trio.
this video is like the ultimate confirmation bias for me
Well, I could just go with whatever trending opinion that’s on the internet and get liked by everyone - or I could just be honest about my opinions and experience but have to deal with people like you after.
Before you comment on stuff like this, you’ve gotta do some research and critical thinking. Doing things in that order can hopefully help you sounds at least a little less stupid lol. Thanks for watching 😉
@@walter_fernandez maybe you shouldnt assume i somehow meant that in a bad way?? i love ef-m mount. its confirmation that EF-M is still a viable mount and one of my favorites of all time (i own an EOS M and a variety of EF-M lenses.)
i wrote an entire essay about how canon was wrong to abandon EF-M mount because otherwise i wouldn't have sold my EOS M6 mark II in favor of a sony
@@EVRLYNMedia I’m not assuming. I meant every word and I couldn’t care less if you love the EF-M mount or not. I still think it’s viable for a lot of people for both leisure and pro uses. I use it professionally so I can stand by it (which is what I meant by personal experience). If it can’t work for you, don’t use it. But denying that fact that people can get into or keep doing photography just because a mount isn’t producing more products is kinda stupid. Again, do your research and some critical thinking - it’s not always about getting the latest and greatest. That’s popular opinion on the internet and I don’t agree with hence the video.
@@walter_fernandezthen why are you being so aggressive dude i literally agree with you
It is rumoured that an R50/100 will be announced soon, which one would presume is the death knell for the M50 system. On the other hand the M50 II is still selling well worldwide and so it wouldn't be beyond the wit of Canon to stick a Digic 10 processor into the M50 body thereby enabling, amongst other things, 120 fps 1080p and more importantly uncropped, dual pixel focus, 24,25,30 fps 4k video - the M50 III. Then again, I am probably just as delusional as you!
Haha! To be honest, I think Canon wants the M50 III to be an RF camera. I'm pretty sure they won't be coming out with any new M series cameras or lenses. My whole point is that these are some good cameras that don't have every spec in the world but they're great portable cameras that should go down in price soon, making it better for someone like me to snag an M6 II at half price someday 😂
@@walter_fernandez - in the UK the M6 II and M50 II sell like hot cakes, but the M6 II is not being restocked by the retailers and neither camera has dropped much in price. If your region is anything like here, I suspect your dream of a half-price M6 II is as likely to be fulfilled as is my desire for the M50 mark 3! Never mind, we'll have to make do with our R6's!
@@hedley.bradstone-unbridled the thing with efm system is that its so so so much cheap for the quality it delivers…
A $400 efm lens compare in quality and sharpness with a $2000 rf lens
