That's a myth. He DID restring to play left handed. He used a regular right handed Strat upside down but with the strings re-strung to be correct. That doesn't diminish his genius. You won't find a bigger Hendrix fan than me.

Not the '70's. This was 1967. Hendrix was way ahead of the curve. Still is.
