I’m more amazed that people still haven’t heard of Hendrix!! Hendrix should be made compulsory for school curriculums the world over so no child is left behind in knowing what REAL music is! 😎🎸🔥🔥
Jimi was playing the guitar with his teeth. If you go back and listen closely, you can hear the difference between using his pick and using his teeth. More importantly, he is considered the greatest because he drastically change rock music forever. His music was light-years ahead of its time. He was a master showman whose influence is still felt today.. He also experimented with sounds and feedback which no one has really duplicated since. The 60s were a very volatile time with protests, riots and the war in Vietnam. If you listen to The Star Spangled Banner from Woodstock, he somehow captures that feeling. Btw, every sound he makes is intentional designed to bring out different emotions.
When Hendrix came on the scene, the whole world’s mouth dropped. He was unbelievable. Jeff Beck recalled thinking “Oh great. I’ll have to find a new career.” This year, Brian May was voted “Greatest Guitar Player of All Time.” That Jimi was named #2, 50 years after his death, at only 27 years old, speaks volumes. Imagine if he’d had another half century to improve his skills. Of being named #1, Brian May said in part; "Well, it is very humbling. Jimi is, of course, my #1 & I've always said that." "To me, he's still something superhuman. It's like he really did come from an alien planet. I will never know quite how he did what he did” & that every time he goes back to Hendrix, he's "thrilled & stunned" saying he’ll never stop learning from Hendrix. "I get that feeling all over again, like either I'm going to give up playing the guitar, because I can't face up to this, or I'm gonna really have to get into it in a big way and try & do what is in my own body and soul."
@@warrenparker8282 Brian May is an incredible guitarist and he's definitely up there but Hendrix is still number 1 for me aha but it's a matter of opinion
The G.O.A.T. You know it's a shame that most Black Guitarist and Latinos never got there props one like Ernie Isley , Prince, Eddie Hazel , Carlos Santana . Frank Zappa. B.B.King Chuck Berry. list goes on.
Brother had to go to England to get "discovered" His first U.S. show was this, "Monterey Pop Festival" Backstage, Jimi and Pete Townsend argued about who was gonna play the final show. Townsend said "We ain't gonna go onstage after you" Jimi stood on a chair, played the most BadAss Blues number" then said "I'm gonna pull out all the stops"
Badd Boyz of Texas, it's not about who is Joe, it's Jimi style! his grandmaster playing the guitar with his teeth and behind his back!!! He's showing the world he's the original all others tired and copy his style!
Someone else picked up !!!!!! HaHaHaHa !!!!! LMBO !!!!😂😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣!!!!!! It's Called Slight Of Hand !!!!!!!! He Knew What he was Doing ONLY From a Master Musician !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😊 His long fingers and playing his guitar 🎸 upside down (right-handed guitar) because he was left handed !!!! Chewing gum also!!!!!!!
You know Jimi is #1 because there was nothing Jimi could not play. While established and highly rated guitarists like Eric Clapton had trouble with songs like "the killing Floor" Jimi blazed through it. Add to that the fact that he also composed and he's way ahead of anyone else.
To see the change that Jimi made in music, see the following: ua-cam.com/video/iHzjfGF6MiU/v-deo.html -- the biggest rock hit in 1963 ua-cam.com/video/eHP7YUw0G2Q/v-deo.html -- the best guitarists in 1963 Five years later. ua-cam.com/video/TLV4_xaYynY/v-deo.html -- Hendrix, All Along the WatchTower ua-cam.com/video/MFLy8eGtSYo/v-deo.html -- Hendrix, Star Spangled Banner I saw him live. There's some great videos of some great blues guitar players on UA-cam. If you want to see 2 of them handle every guitar player's worst nightmare a broken string live on stage check out the videos on UA-cam of BB King when Lucille popped a string and also Stevie Ray Vaughn who played some of the heaviest gauge strings of them all. Also there's a video on UA-cam of Stevie Ray on a blues tribute television show doing Texas Flood and in his fly looking tux he does a Jimi Hendrix and plays the guitar behind his back.
My niece said she had seen a great guitarist. I said can he play the guitar with his teeth? She said no. I said can he play the guitar over his head? She said no. I said can he play the guitar behind his back? She said no. I said can he play the guitar between his legs? She said no. I said not much of a guitarist then. She said who can do all of that anyway? I said Jimi Hendrix. She said Jimi who? I said your musical knowledge astounds me!
3:15 Although it may seem like it, at that moment, Jimmy is not making any obscene gesture. In fact, he is indicating to a sector of the crowd that the solo that comes next is going to be executed with his tongue. It was something that he had done on previous occasions and that his fans demanded it from him... Ohhh...I´m missing... That gum he's apparently chewing is most likely a slip of LSD.
Its a remake. When was 16, father bought him acoustic , and the next year electric - right-handed Supro Ozark that the natural lefty to flip upside down to play. So 11 years playing guitar. Monterey he's best known for wild thing, when he set his guitar on fire. ;)
Also I was wondering if you guys have ever seen Mongolian metal band The Hu. If you do watch it or react to it you should turn on the CC for the translation of the lyrics. Its a Mongolian battle song based on a poem buy a son of Genghis Khan featuring Mongolian throat singing
Actually, "Hey Joe" was written by Billy Roberts, a 1960's Folk guitarist/singer. He wrote the song in 1962. Jimi first recorded his own version of the song in 1966. You can hear the Billy Roberts version here: ua-cam.com/video/PziiNzFWZog/v-deo.html
Recommend you watch Stevie Ray Vaughan do cover from Jimi Hendrix’s VooDoo Child Austin Texas 1989 live. Stevie Ray is a rock blues guitarist from your home state of Texas. GOAT !!!
I’m more amazed that people still haven’t heard of Hendrix!! Hendrix should be made compulsory for school curriculums the world over so no child is left behind in knowing what REAL music is! 😎🎸🔥🔥

Just a little note for you Badd Boyz of Texas. The song was composed in the early 60's by Johnny Roberts. Jimi made it his own with his cover.
PLAYED a right handed guitar Upside Down !!!!!
Another fact bros. Jimmy was left handed. He played a right handed guitar UPSIDE-DOWN! A left guitar was pretty much un heard of
Love Jimi thank you
Hey Joe was written and first recorded by singer-songwriter Billy Roberts

Chas Chandler The Bass Player with the Animals discovered Hendrix and brought him to England where he was matched up to a band the rest is history

I regret that I only got to see Jimi twice before he died. What a loss. ✌️

Hey badd boyz, Jimi told you that Joe fled to Mexico. Could be deceased by now though.
Jimi is the very best. Did you see him play with his tongue.????
Yes. That was crazy
He was flicking his tongue but he was striking the strings with his teeth.
I saw jimi in atlanta. Best concert I ever saw. Stevie ray Vaughn is the closest to jimi but came after him. Check out voodoo child by both.

JIMI did not write this
When a black man has to be better than everyone else, and still had to come to England to get a gig
not the worst thing
Prince copied Jimi Hendrix physical moves.
How could you be so ignorant to stop a Jimi Hendrix solo? Thumbs down!
Bad reaction
