Totally agree-the Foo Fighters have such a knack for creating memorable videos, and their energy and humor always shine through. It’s amazing how each band member fully commits to their roles, making every video a joy to watch. Taylor Hawkins was such a phenomenal drummer, bringing not only incredible skill but also a contagious passion and charisma to the band. His loss on March 25, 2022, was truly heartbreaking, and his absence is deeply felt. He was more than a drummer; he was a driving force and a huge part of what made the Foo Fighters so special. ❤
Dave Grohl: Rockstar, living legend, amazing drummer, amazing singer, guitarist, actor, commedian, frontman, showman, nice guy, loving father, husband... we should appreciate this guy a little bit more, he deserves it
This Foos song is so underrated. The three-chord guitar pop hook is amazing. I am 54 years old, and I think the Foo Fighters are my favorite group. Not trying to be young, I just feel what he is trying to do. Grohl gets it on SOOO many levels! He LIVES for and in rock heritage, but still cuts a new path. It doesn't get any better than that, kids.

Well done Dave grohl. This is song structure perfection and this is probably one of his best songwriting efforts. Every bit as good as anything from the Beatles or any timeless classic song
took me 10 years to find this song. I used to see in on television when I was just around 10 years old and then back when I was 20 I was searching for this memorie all over the internet. So glad the day I found this again. Music is such a great connector. Thank you for this.
My case is exactly yours. As a child (when I was about 8 or 9 years old) I saw that music video on television and the final scene stuck in my mind. It was until now, when I was 21, that I wanted to look for this song, but couldn't find it. After I found out that the song Breakout (also by Foo Fighters) was on "Me, Myself And Irene"; I looked for him to listen to it, I start looking for more of his songs and it happens that I come across this one, which I had seen in my childhood, it is just how I remembered it :')
Foo Fighters inspired me to go all in with my music because Dave was once just like me, an artist without many listening. And now he’s on top. I believe it will happen for me one day, Im not stopping when it does! 🧡
Any time I am feeling sad, I just come to this video or Walk and it instantly cheers me up. Thank goodness for Foo Fighters as well as their music videos. And RIP Taylor Hawkins. We miss you.

In 2009, when I was 14, this clip used to air a lot on cartoon network in Brazil. At the time, I was facing my first real bout against depression. I had lost a grandmother in 2008 and a grandfather and an uncle in 2009. My parents were devastated and I used to feel totally empty. There wasn't really home, just a mess. School sucked and my antidepressants weren't really helping. I remember this song actually ignited in me the will to pursue a childhood dream. I had always wanted to be a musician but had never tried to actually learn music. Well, 2009 was the year I was going to change that. I picked up a guitar, got myself a teacher and spent years discovering myself as a musician. Fast forward to 2022 and a frustrated and stagnated 27 years old me realizes he had indeed found himself with music, thirteen years ago. Sometimes a "safe" job might not bring you any sense of safety at all. I have to thank the Foo Fighters for Long Road to Ruin. Ironic as it is, this song actually took me out of said road twice
Long Road to Ruin-Foo Fighters Lyrics: Here now don't make a sound Say have you heard the news today? +Brandon Roberts Exactly. Their goofiness has always been the most unique part of them than any other band out there! Hope the whole band has a long future to come, I just don't know a world without them.
I love the Foo Fighters, I love Dave Grohl. I love the fun and hilarious videos they put out, I love the buildup of their songs, the arrangements, the vocals. Their my go to band when I want to rock in my car or on my headphones. They are the band I play on youtube when I need a good laugh after a long day. They get it, they know who they are, and they know who their fans are. They have put out consistently awesome music for two decades, loved by the last couple generations as their sales and popularity attest. They stay true to rock. They put on extremely awesome concerts, and play to their fans, yet won't put up with the bastards that show up to cause mayhem at their shows, Dave has personally called out individuals he's seen causing problems for those around them enjoying the show. That's why I love them. That's why I'm here, to share that positivity with others that share the same feeling, it feels good. The Foo Fighters are the Foo Fighter's, they are not Nirvana. Dave Grohl was a member of Nirvana. When Kurt Cobain died, Nirvana as a live band ended, both Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic knew that, they knew with no Kurt, there was no Nirvana. Even up to last year when they had nothing but female singers do his parts in the song session after they were inducted, no one is Kurt, no sense of trying to pretend. Kurt was a once in generation star, enough said. Dave went his own way, and took pieces of what he learned in Nirvana, and infused it with his own blend of alt rock, and more importantly with his personality, playful and fun, yet friggin kick ass. Try not to laugh and rock out watching the Everlong, large slappy hands and lol take on the evil dead movies, along with crossing dressing and so many other crazy things, yet if you really listen to the lyrics it is a sweet love song, that's how I interpret it, others feel differently, but that's what is great about it, you choose how you want to feel about it, that's what music that touches you does. I'm not a big fan of Pantera or Blind Melon, I don't really get it, I've tried. But at the same time I understand why others would, it hits them in that special sweet that music so amazingly can, and everyone has different tastes. I've always wondered why so many people rage about Alice in Chains vs Nirvana vs Pearl Jam vs the Beatles vs Pink Floyd vs Led Zep etc, raging how one band sucks so much while the band they like is the best of all time, how bout you focus on the music you love, and enjoy it with others that feel the same way? Music so amazingly powerful, one of the greatest joys and blessings we have as humans, it feeds our souls in the best or worst times, picks us up when we are down, chills us out when we are stressed. Encodes memories in our brains that stick there, that pop up magically when you try to remember a certain time of your life, no matter how old you are. It's pretty special man. So how bout everyone that hates Foo Fighters go the videos that brings them joy and makes them feel good, why crap on a band or people that like a band just because you don't? I guess sadly that is a joy I don't really get, the joy out of insulting, belittling, and calling out a band and people that they don't like just to either get a rise out of people, or because you just need attention? Maybe it's the joy bully's feel, putting down others to make themselves feel better? Everyone has their own favorite music, that's their right. The Foo Fighters are one of my favorites, they have meant alot to me over 20 years, and I really appreciate that, and those that feel the same way can probably tell you the same thing.
I swear Foo Fighters has the best videos.
Me to! 😍

Long Road to Ruin-Foo Fighters Lyrics:
Here now don't make a sound
Say have you heard the news today?
One flag was taken down
To raise another in its place
A heavy cross you bear
A stubborn heart remains unchanged
No home, no life, no love
No stranger singing in your name
Maybe the season
The colors change in the valley skies
Dear God I've sealed my fate
Running through hell, heaven can wait
Long road to ruin there in your eyes
Under the cold streetlights
No tomorrow, no dead end in sight
Let's say we take this town
No king or queen of any state
Get up to shut it down
Open the streets and raise the gates
I know one wall to scale
I know a field without a name
Head on without a care
Before it's way too late
Maybe the season
The colors change in the valley skies
Oh, God I've sealed my fate
Running through hell, heaven can wait
Long road to ruin there in your eyes
Under the cold streetlights
No tomorrow, no dead ends
Long road to ruin there in your eyes
Under the cold streetlights
No tomorrow, no dead end in sight
For every piece to fall in place
Forever gone without a trace
Your horizon takes its shape
No turning back, don't turn that page
Come now, I'm leaving here tonight
Come now, let's leave it all behind
Is that the price you pay?
Running through hell, heaven can wait
Long road to ruin there in your eyes
Under the cold streetlights
No tomorrow, no dead ends
Long road to ruin there in your eyes
Under the cold streetlights
No tomorrow, no dead ends
Long road to ruin there in your eyes
Under the cold streetlights
No tomorrow, no dead end in sight
