This video is the best basic A/C lesson in 30 minutes you will ever see. Bringing in my buddy Caleb in on this video at the Sloan's training center to show you how a basic A/C system works. We will talk about the basic theory of heat transfer and how that applies into air conditioning. We are going to be showing the different changes in state on the simulator and we will be putting failures into it to show you how the system reacts.

As a CDI that just got my certs to teach this, Caleb did a great job explaining the system from a 30,000 ft view. I also really like that simulator and am getting a quote on one now! Great job guys!

Hi Zeth. Very moved by your opening comments at the loss of your Grandad and best friend. Words are not enough to fill the gap that such losses leave in our lives when we lose beautiful people that matter to us. Those closest to us become our compass, our North, South, East and West. Such loss means we have to continue our journey alone for a while without that compass, giving that comfort and guidance in our lives. If I were with you, a big hug from me, would speak the feelings of a thousand words. Luv ya man KTGIM Julian U.K

We've got that same trainer at our training center. I always knew the basics of how a/c works, but that tool really made it all click and stuck in my head.

Great video, I’m a John Deere tech in California actually going to the AC class in the next month our company is putting on. The simulator board made it very easy to actually see how the system works. Sorry to hear about the loss of your grandfather.

Thanks Zeth and Sloan Implement for allowing us to use this information. I went to GM automotive technician school in the early 90's and they didn't even come close to explaining this the way you did. Very beneficial.

Thanks for another great video ZK and Caleb.
It was interesting and informative and enjoyable.
First. My prayers and sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your grandfather ZK. Sorry for your loss
Also losing a dear and close friend is a hard one. Especially one you worked with everyday.
May your grandfather’s memories and your friends memories always warm your heart!!!!!!!!!
Second. Thanks for talking about mental health and seeking help. Really important to SEEK HElP!!!!! Talking to someone about your loss is really important. I experienced that in the military in Vietnam. Really helps to talk with an experienced advisor. Thanks ZK for talking about this.
Third. Didn’t know Solan had a training center. Very good. I kept looking at Caleb and I knew I had seen him before. Then I remembered him being with you on a planter work visit to Zach Johnson’s farm. Let me tell you, you and Caleb together are some of the best John Deere has to offer.
Fourth. The training session on a/c you both just did was excellent!!!!! Simply put and with the demo pieces a lot easier to understand. Thanks to both you for helping me understand the a/c systems. Was great.
Thanks ZK for putting this together. Has been most interesting.
You take care and be safe. Pass my best on to Caleb also.
Remember you our family and friend ZK. Let the memories warm your heart.
    The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

So, question, isn't all that liquid still going through the pump/compressor? This actually helps to understand what exactly is going on with an AC system. Greatly appreciated to school us on this.
Condolences to your loss. Great video as always, cheers :)

had a truck that the ac would blow smoke out the vents, dealer said nothing wrong. Im guessing the evaporator was damaged and was leaking gas.
