If you’re in mobile I suggest alight motion,it takes a long time to export but it’s still fairly easily to adapt and use

I’m a student and I Adobe, Adobe is free for students so it’s completely fine and has a bunch of features and supports plugins. Not only that the compatibility with after effects is insane making my videos look cooler and is pretty easy to learn
Definitely if you got the student discount, the Adobe package is amazing !
Honestly the pro version is totes worth it! I especially love the advanced closed captions feature

i'm just an intermediate. i use this (capcut) alongside premiere pro. i do the edits on the premiere, and i fix my face with capcut.
That's a great use for it also ! Sometimes I do the same with DaVinci + Capcut.
Why isnt the 3D Motion Transitions available in Desktop App compared to number of Effects in the App?
Yeah, some effects are not available, not sure the reason. If there's something you'd really want to use, I'd advise to edit only on smartphone or desktop, but don't export and import and re-export, it's gonna lose a lot of quality this way.

for me the main thing is the auto caption i know its on the desktop version too but the animations are broken

capcut tends to lag a little more than on a phone but it’s much better to use if you wanna edit large videos

The only thing it needs is layers. You can't change layer options as you like as in premiere pro. If it enables a layer option then its the best for short form creators

Hi !! Sure, inside Capcut there are some Body Effects, it's one of those ! It creates a layer on the timeline, and as long as you have it on top of your video, it will create the effect there!

There are some differences in where things are and some effects and things that exist only in one or the other. But mostly they do the same things.

Will clearing CACHE help with lagging (after turning proxy on, still lags). Is it safe to clean with project open? Nothing will disappear?
No worries, cache is just to speed up the process, so the original files will be untouched !

I use DaVinci Resolve Studio. Should I switch to CapCut?
Definitely not if you're editing long form content and if you know and invested on DaVinci already. But for some small tasks, I still find Capcut better and easier to handle.

yes yes and yes. I've used all of them from DJI drones and Sony cameras HLG3 without problems. Add in a lut to convert it to Rec709 and go edit!

No worries! Actually for HLG or iPhone HDR for example there is already a conversion embedded in Capcut, so doesn't even need the lut ! Till next time !
I can't understand people who see nothing but AP and AE. They call it a "professional program". I once said that I use Capcut for my videos and was told that I should use Adobe. But WHY? Everything is very complicated there, even elementary things. You have to write the dimensions with numbers, etc. But in Capcut everything is more convenient and you don't have to spend 3 hours on something that can be done in a few seconds.
Exactly, you gotta use the best tool for what you need ! For some client work, capcut is simply not enough for me, so I trust DaVinci with that. For reasons related to coloring, too many layers, etc etc. But for short videos for example, I could do it all only inside Capcut.
I know, when you are really professional and you are making money from that, of course you need high quality videos and effects from AE but for youtubers like me Capcut is enough.@@FlyEnri
Should i use a laptop or phone for edits
Desktop for bigger edits, more space for the timeline, and to be faster. Smartphone if you want less trouble sending files here and there.

Question for you! How do I use the desktop version if say I take clips from a movie to use in my video either as a visual or something in between as I talk. I find that I can screen record on my phone , insert the clip into CapCut but I have trouble doing this on a desktop. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for the help

Thank you! Do you know how to group an overlay footage to the main timeline on CapCut phone app? I put an overlay I want to be linked with a specific video clip, but if I delete a video clip earlier in the timeline, the timeline shifts but the overlay doesn’t shift, which means I have to realign it again. The same occurs with text and audio tracks :(. Thanks for your help!

Hi James ! It should, strange, but anyways, logging in with the google accounts for example is a way in which the software just asks google if you're really the owner of that email, and it receives just the OK, not your password.

i have 2 issues with it. so i record on obs my gaming clips and when i edit the videos always turn up over 1 gb of storage i’ve seen some above 67 gbs and i don’t know how to fix this. secondly when editing it becomes rather laggy and hard to time transitions because of this. if you have any suggestions on how to change this i would love to here them ❤
Hi ! So OBS has a setting for the quality of the recording in Mbps. You can play around to see the minimum in which you still get the level of detail you need, without making huge files. Later in editing I highly recommend you to make proxies, this creates a smaller, lower resolution version of the same video, used only for editing. When you export the software knows to grab all the details from the original file and make it high res again.
