Smoked Cream Cheese | Easy Smoked Cream Cheese Recipe

  • Smoked Cream Cheese....unless you live under a rock, you have probably seen smoked cream cheese recipes flooding social media. I've seen them on Facebook, on TikTok, and also popping up on UA-cam as of lately. Basically the concept is to season your cream cheese and smoke it at 250° for 1.5-2 hours. I'm not going to lie, I was extremely skeptical of this...I was specifically concerned that someone was trying to get me to melt cream cheese all over my smoker! BUT....I had to give it a try, so I present this easy smoked cream cheese recipe. My consensus on this is you should at least give it a try. I think it adds a nice smoke flavor to the seasoned and smoked cream cheese, and is absolutely awesome on a bagel!

    I smoked without the rub. Just smoked it naked! Refrigerate to firm up for about an hour afterwards. Then add finely chopped ham and green onion tops. Mix with an electric mixer and serve with wheat thins! Scrumptious!

    Love this been doing it for years it’s so good I like to smoke the cheese and Italian sausage mix it together stuff a jalapeño wrap it with bacon coat it wit bbq sauce then smoke it wow it so amazing

    Smoke for 1.5 hours, take it off add your favorite jam or jelly and smoke it for another half hour.

    Great review. I actually saw one like this last week and I ordered a couple of Kosmos Q Rib glaze to try on the top of the smoked creak cheese. Hopefully will try it out this weekend.

    HI. THEY SAY TO SMOKE REGULAR CHEESE NOT TO LET THE TEMPERATURE GET ABOVE 80 F. WOULD IT WORK FOR THE CREAM CHEESE LIKE THIS JUST LET IT SMOKE LONGER.

      It would probably absorb too much smoke and be very acrid if you cold smoked the cream cheese.

      Because you don’t need to. Big difference between the cream cheese and smoking actual cheese.

      @@terrismith9095 there’s not a huge difference in flavoring in commodity pellets in my experience. Cookin’ Pellets and Bear Mountain are all I use because of this reason. I would recommend fruit smoke on the cream cheese. Cherry, apple, etc. prolly wouldn’t go with oak or hickory if it’s a better brand of pellet. But for readily available pellets there not much of a difference to me. With pellets, you get what ya pay for. Hope that clarifies.

      For this recipe you are cooking the cream cheese. Try cold smoked cream cheese, it’s awful.
