  • Smoked cream cheese has been a popular item lately on the internet and it peaked my curiosity. So I started testing it out and giving samples out to folks to see what they think and they loved it! The cream cheese you'd think it would melt and turn to liquid, but it doesn't. It holds the original shape and kind of dries and looks like a piece of flaky fish. It's very interesting. It's a great appetizer for game day or for any occasion.
    Ingredients -
    Blocks of cream cheese
    Oil for rub adhesion
    Rub of your choice (this is fun to experiment with)
    Crackers of your choice
    Sauce of. your choice (a nice pepper jelly is great too)

      @@thehungryhussey I did the Everything but a bagel seasoning. Put pepper jelly on my half and my wife and I met in the middle with trisket crackers!! 😂 Was delicious!!

    Love ya, Huss. I appreciate your Saturday morning videos every week! I do have to tell you though, my daughter (she’ll be 5 next month) always watches with me every Saturday.     i never smoked cream cheese, but we smoke about 20 blocks of various cheeses, like swiss, pepper cheese, gouda, american, cheddar, colby jack, etc,,, then off to the food sealer and into the fridge for a couple weeks .. this lets the flavor enhance

    I’ve been using heath riles cherry, peach, and pecan rub on mine, then top them with homemade black raspberry jalapeño jelly, good stuff!! Love your videos Hussey!!

    I used to avoid cream cheese like the plague. However, I discovered a lot of dishes I really like are heavily based on it. So, I got over my fear of it. 🤣 This looks mighty fine. I think I'll give it a try.

    Another great video! Making some tomorrow so it was perfect timing to fire up my Hussey playlist and this popped up first. :)
    I see now you know what it's like to try to decide between Blackstone, BGE and Easy Bake. My BS wins most of the time but the lazy in me has the Easy Bake doing most of the overnight cooks so I can catch zzzzz. :) Have a great Thanksgiving!

    Should try this recipe ingredients. Made it a few weeks ago and my God It was delicious
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp pumpkin spice
    2 tsp sugar
    Smoke @ 225 for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.

    Hussey!!! You have got to try eating the smoked cream cheese with cheese Doritos!!! My parents did this on thanksgivings for as long as I can remember. Cheese Doritos is where it’s at! We do these almost monthly in my home now. There is a lot of different options for flavor for sure!

    Like to try a brick of feta cheese doing this. I do a blackstone betty's feta pasta and it holds it shape while cooking with the cherry tomatoes and her spice blend on it.
    That Smoked cream cheese would be great in a spinach omelet. Or a toasted bagel and lox ( thinly sliced smoked salmon) with these cream cheeses

    I’m not trying to be a downer this is just my opinion we really love your show when you were just doing the Blackstone in the old house you seemed much more personable than and we like everything that you’re doing on the Blackstone I can appreciate these new videos and the videos are nice but you just getting a little too commercial now for me I’m really glad you’re doing well and trying new things that’s not necessarily a bad thing And thank you for the comments at the end of the

    When I smoked my cheese I like to do it in the Winter time so don't get hot it brings out the oil when it gets hot.

    That smoke tube seems to make a huge difference

      It's a must in a pellet grill that doesn't have a seperate "smoke" setting. After using a tube, I really like the results of the pellet grill.

    I made two bricks in a 9x9 pan the other day.
    I didn't smoke them long enough.
    Also, I'm wondering if it will not turn out as well if i spread the cheese out in the pan first. So that i can layer the salsa on top.
    Thoughts?

      I should have noted that. My apologies. It's a blend (I believe Pit Boss Blend) it has like hickory, mapel, and apple I think.

    Are you using full fat/whole cream cheese or low fat?? I was wondering because I would think that maybe the full fat would melt more?????

      225° for 2 hrs and I used a blend pellet with hickory, maple, apple

    heat was too high... thats why your cheese fell apart and the jalapenos didn't fair well from the heat either.

    It’s funny, I covered mine with cheese cloth to keep all the oils in anyone else do that? I am totally down for the jalapeño though.

      @@thehungryhussey I wrap all of my cheese and cheese cloth to keep the oils in so it doesn’t dry out. I periodically spray a little bit of water just to keep stuff moist I live in the south works great. The only thing you need is cast-iron pan applewood chips you don’t have to turn your barbecue on or anything just like that the heat from outside boom.
