- A showdown of all the finds dug while metal detecting the virgin ground exposed by a construction crew. This has been a very special site with absolutely incredible finds!
Thank you for helping my 11yr old son and I find some inspiration to go out there and find some history. This is how it's done. Really, thank you.
The haul of a lifetime! Congratulations, SF!
How fun! I like trying to imagine what each item last did - what was each bullet shooting at, what all was purchased with the coins, etc. Very cool.
Thanks so much for taking us along on this amazing journey, enjoyed every video and your finds!
Great Wrap - up. Video...WOW. Tons of great finds!!.& Memory's to last a life time!

Congrats on all those finds, you found an awesome spot! Great videos, thanks for the wrap-up!
very nice treatise of the virgin ground. Appreciate you doing overall review of your finds. Great job.
That is really cool! Thanks for the identification. That's incredible that this piece of china traveled from your hometown to my hometown. If only it could talk of the people that carried it.
Very cool finds, so amazing! Thank you for sharing!
Amazing finds brother! Thanks for posting!
Well worth the wait; you've had a memorable hunting year with more to come!
enjoyed the series of vids, looking forward to more. thanks for the effort it was much appreciated. HH, Vic
you wouldve loved my grandparents basement. after they passed my old man and I moved in and sold our old house because we wanted to keep the property in the family. I went through stuff in the basement and found an old cigar box. 20 pre 1925 Quarters, a literal hand full of mercury dimes, few buffalo nickels stack of half dollars and silver dollars. all in that one box. pretty cool find.
one of the coins is an old Liberty head V Nickel. it has an S mint mark! made us real happy to add to the collection.
That's a very cool find! I still have all the old coins my parents collected as kids too.
This was an awesome video series. I'm new to the sport and dieing to get out more but the ground has only just thawed here in western NY. I've found a lot of clad and junk lol but no silver yet. Thanks for sharing.
ATB, Steve...
stevenk1965 Welcome to the hobby! The key to finding old coins is to know your machine, research where you hunt, and be patient and persistent!
i like seeing your son in the back ground at the beginning, funny stuff. lol.. great work man, nice finds
Thank you for sharing that was a lot of fun to watch!
fun!
@ 13:57 due to age, is most likely the end of a Bolo Tie. Great stuff!! Incredible!!! Totally enjoyed the series! Waiting for more of your vides!! W.
I loved watching this series of videos. Very nice finds my friend, keep up the good hunts. I wish I could find some virgin spots like this. I will have to keep my eyes open.
Great finds! I just started detecting a little, but have yet to find old coins. It's fun seeing the treasures you found. Thanks for sharing the discoveries and good hunting!
Hi - I am your 3000th subscriber! Really enjoyed watching your videos. Thanks.
Awesome wrap up video. Great finds.
I stumbled across my own virgin ground in 2009 and have been hunting it to this day 2015. So far I've found approximately 3000 coins dating from 1880 to 1958. No clads, not to mention relics, tokens, silver and gold rings. Maybe a once and a life time hunt.
Numisaccent awesome! sounds like you have an a great site!
Congratulations and welcome mister (or miss) 3000! Your prize is that you get to carry my digging tools and trash bag, LOL
You are much younger than I thought..lol..I am thinking of getting a detector..been fascinated with buried treasure since I was a kid...
Great series!
I know of about another 2 dozen silvers including a 1906 Canadian silver nickle, and other silver halves and quarters. There was also a Flying Eagle cent found along with some other cool relics. I have no idea how many hours I put in at this site because I hunted it a LOT. Some were full day hunts, a lot were short hunts.
Awesome wrap up to an awesome site! I don't know if you know or not, but that Ford Key is to a 1920's Model T Ford. I have found 2 of them.
That time you mentioned could be from a military tassel may be from a bolo tie. You still see some cowboy grandpas wearing them. Great videos and lucky you! Thanks
Good stuff man! Nice finds!
You did a great job on the videos, thank you for sharing! Have you considered finding where the concrete contractor was piling the soil they dug out? It may be worth your time to check their stockpile(s).
Very nice finds…. I have enough nails to build a shed.
That piece of china with the meakin/England stamp I think is a rare Ironstone china. I know its Ironstone but can't remember the rareity. Nice finds, once in a lifetime! GL&HH
Nice silver saves..I found a spoon ring just like that.
Well, I scrubbed it as good as I could, and lots of others scrubbed it too but I'm sure there are still coins there. Happy I got out what I could.
All those coins on one site. makes you wonder how many are still out there. I found a remnant of a bullet shell I think dated to the 20's from an old home ssite here. The china pieces I found dated back to 1859 when Oregon became a state.
I thought I was done here, but just like the mafia.... I keep getting pulled back in!
Great stuff dude!
Sorry for not updating... Under the loop there was no sign of a mint mark. It also wasn't a 1922. It was a 1923 with damage to the 3 that made it look like a 2 to the naked eye. OH well, it was fun to hope for a couple days! I never used to care about my Wheaties, but now I have a reason to be careful with them.
Good luck! I hope to see some great videos from your tear-outs!
I need to go buy an inspection loop. There is a spot of corrosion right where the mint mark would be. It's a very crusty and heavily worn coin, but I should have a final answer tomorrow.
I'll have to check to see!!
From as much as I have seen of the others' finds, I don't think anybody found as much as me. I think there was about another 2 dozen silvers from the other hunters combined.
I think it was a Denver mintmark, but I couldn't find my magnifying lens when I was laying everything out. That's another one I will be checking closer.
Great finds! What a summer huh? Did others find about the same amount of silver as you did?
awesome finds and videos keep'em coming GL & HH
Saw you had found a Buck Jones fan club ring. An interesting fact. Buck Jones was killed in the 1942 Coconut Grove nightclub fire in Boston Mass. He had been a guest of some people who went to a college football game that day. After the game his group went to the club as part of a celebration. He had been sick with a terrible cold and really did not want to go, but decided it would be good. He was killed along with his agent and several others in his party. Before the disaster he signed several autographs for fans in the club. Those would be his last. Shortly there after a fire started in the basement lounge and toxic fumes filled the club. They would find his body still tangled in the railings of the vip area where special guests had been seated. I am a bit of an expert on this disaster and I was amazed you found such a cool relic.
Thanks for the info, I never knew he died in that fire. It is a famous one and still used in almost all fire science textbooks.

Awesome wrap up. That's more silver and IH's than most pull in a year! I wonder what the total silver and coin count was with everyone. Can you estimate how many hours you put in there? Those relics are very interesting too.
I didn't think about a bolo, that's very likely too!
WOW! More from one site than most find in several years! Great hunting! Wait.......there's more? Now you're just showboating! :)
Where do you think is the best places to go to find coins? I thought looking at the beach but I didn't really find anything there. I'm very new to metal detecting and I really got into it because it looks like fun just to find buried stuff! I live in a really small town and so far we have tried the back yard, a ball park, a dirt field and my dads grandparents old house. Most of what I find is nails or drink tops lol
I wonder how do you find the exact spot where to look for coins? thanks for sharing your videos.
you really should do electrolisis cleaning to all that rusty coins. you can even get a date for the "?" ones
hi buddy superb collection of coins but the pottery shard with meakin on came from my home town of stoke on trent staffordshire from a factory called j&g meakin it was in a town called hanley in the centre of stoke on trent there are pictures of the old factory with its bottle kilns online The J&G Meakin - Eagle Pottery works, Hanley

Video bomb!
I know someone asked before but did you just hunt there or did you have to ask permission? Awesome finds. Dream property...
It's public so I didn't have to, but I did get permission just to be safe.
Great video, saved a lot of history!
Your finds are amazing. Where are you located? I just moved to Florida and I'm dying to find some silver...
Just a wild guess, but I'd say Enid OK
If you have a 1922 no D Lincoln cent, it is worth a bundle. Here is what the Grey Sheet, a conservative US price guide, lists as catalog value for a 1922 no D cent:
worn: $600 US dollars
average circulated: $850
well preserved: $1600
fully uncirculated: $22500
1922 wheat is your best find id pay ya 1800 for it cash right this second love it very rare find good job happy hunting
Absolutely awesome hunt! I wanted to ask your opinion on the etrac. Lately I have thought about getting one. I see a lot of guys swinging them on youtube and they seem like an awesome detector. I use a fisher 1266x and I love it except that it leaves me in the dark when it comes to knowing the depth of a target. I'm leaning towards the etrac because it has the electronic readout. Also on the etrac, can you tell the difference between pulltabs and nickels or gold? When I notch out Tabs I am missing all the nickels and gold. Thanks and HH
Chevelle61265 I think the E-Trac is a great detector! The screen info is good, but the tones are the most important aspect to learn. No, no machine currently available can separate aluminum from gold, the first one that can, could charge $20K and not keep them in stock!
Thanks Silver Fiend
1922 wheatie... that could be some cash right there. How the "D" look? weak or none? thats the money maker right there. Great Hunt, I keep watching for a "project" to happen here. no such luck!
I have a question regarding jewelry that you may find. Do you take it to a jeweler to turn in for cash? Or do you keep it just for your own finds? Thank you. Reason I ask is that I may start detecting.
Me personally, I keep it since I don't need the cash right now. I also don't find a lot of jewelry so it's not a big issue for me. I know some beach hunters who measure their yearly finds by the pound and most of them sell them for scrap value.
Nice finds. Would you consider selling the Arkansas Seal necklace?
nice finds i watched all the videos good job i lie them so much i bought a cheap detecter just to start with to see if i lie doing this im sure i will end up with AT-GOLD thats what im looing at nice videos my friend
I started out with a $20 Radio Shack detector and look where it lead too! The AT-Gold is a great detector. If you get one you will be happy.
The Silver Fiend Did you ask them where they hauled all the dirt away to? Might be a good weekend of sifting thru there for more silvers :)
What's that behind you? Hilarious.
Look behind at 1:18 on the left.
WAIT WOAH. 1922 penny. Does that have a mintmark? If it doesn't, it's worth easy over 500$+
Just how much was buried under new cement?
Or did you SUPER SCRUB it !?
33 silvers is an awesome number. Congrats.
There is no 1909 cent with a D mint mark so if you in fact did see a mintmark then it was an "S" which is a nice coin but i would definitely check the back for the "VDB" initials at the 6 o'clock of the reverse. If you have both the S and VDB then you better go buy a lottery ticket lol
Research, research, and then LOTS of time swinging a detector.
is that a 1922 wheat penny? they are super rare
@1:19 who is outside your window doing aerobics?
Florida?
I see you are missing the elusive 1939 penny..
Is that a 22 no D wheat?!?!
1:20 LOL!!!!
Yeah, I got photo-bombed by my son!
You can still get dates off of the buffalos if you really wanted to by soaking them in vinegar and hydrogen peroxide for 24 hours
hahah - a metal detectorists caddy.
How much would you want for that misfired 45. I buy old ammunition
There was a guy in the background
may i have a barber quarter? or half dollar? it will be mny first
think its a old condom tin
not a compact
