Absolutely incredible. What an opportunity! Kind of makes you sick to think that place is going to be concrete soon but at least you got a ton out of there.
Fantastic site. Can't wait to see the wrap up. It's a shame to think that all that stuff would have been covered up with asphalt. Good thing you guys were able to get in there to save it.
I can't thank you enough for not rubbing the coins, or grinding scratches into them. I'm so tired of watching videos of the clueless guys who carelessly rub, scratch and gouge their finds.
7:00, your gold coin was in that scoop of dirt, lol. Man that Barber half is sweet. Dude, you killing it with those old coins out there. What a site. Just think about all the coins and relics under all the square footage of pavement around the world, unreal. Love it, SWING BEEP DIG.
That'a an amazing site you found there. You dug some incredible coins out of there. Wow!!! CONGRATS I liked & subbed your channel. Now off to watch a few more of your videos.
OMG!!! Wow, any chance that had been where there was fair grounds or circus area? Your finds are astronomical, unbelievable, and down right great. I really enjoyed this adventure. Thanks, GL&HH
Yep, the original parking area that was removed was laid back in the 1950s. 60 years under concrete waiting to see the light of day. The coins left there today will probably still be there under the new concrete for at least another 60 years.
Sweet finds. You need to do a wrap up. It is killing me. Lol. I am back to dirt hunting after this hot summer here in the south and have not found silver yet. I am stuck at 53 for the year before summer.
it seams to me from the noise, its a highway, next to it, maybe some construction works and they pulled off some street he went over it, well done. i think im right :) GL and HH awesome video.
Hey SF, I have enjoyed this 'Virgin Ground' series very much. Nice job on the whole thing, including the finds....... Is it possible to follow the dirt they removed, and detect it?
None. I waited until the concrete was poured before posting the first video. I was hunting this place a LOT. I'm sure it was no secret to anyone who had a detector that someone was spending a lot of time here. I talked to everyone else who hunted here. They are all good people and I now have new friends who also detect.
Hey Silver Fiend! These are great videos! I can't believe how many coins you found just around the Courthouse. The super cool finds are the tokens and jewelry! I just borrowed my mom's White's detector but am not sure if it works that amazing yet. I live in Durand Michigan in a 100 year old house and have found a few things but no coins yet. Have you been to Michigan and If so, any good spots to detect?
Are you crazy?! Florida has hundreds of more years of civilization than my town. On top of that, you have a state surrounded by beaches filled with lost gold and silver jewelry, not to mention all that Spanish treasure. Get out there and find some!
milton roberts Really! My aunt was at the Coconut Grove the night before the fire. They used to go quite often. Anyway, the kids ring was so neat! Thanks for your post.

Yeah, it's been dry as a bone here too. Glad I had this worked ground that I didn't have to worry about making clean digs.
Congrats on that spot and hunt. Amazing! Cheers Doc

There are so many sites I would love to scrape the top 6 inches of dirt off of.
Got to wonder how many of those claim jumpers watched your vids for inspiration.

Them Buck Jones Club Rings can go for $30+ on Ebay.
They didn't remove any of the dirt, it just got moved to fill in other locations at this spot.
Wow! So many coins! Do you ask for permission to metal detect that area? Nice place for coins
hartstikke leuk

how deep roughly are your findings? Great stuff!!!
Everywhere from on the surface to 8 inches. Of course, that after dirt scraping, so some there were originally 16-18 inches deep
Kabuki Kitsune Buck Jones died of smoke inhalation after heroic efforts to save people in the Boston Coconut Grove fire 1940 or 41.

Gary in New Jersey
Yep, I had permission, and yes, the sheriff's deputies came by all the time. They loved seeing what I was finding.
At 17:22 - was there another dime behind the Barber?
That's just the imprint
That parking lot will not be paved with silver.
Thinking of bulldozing some of my better sites, LOL!
anyone in and around central TX interested in heavy-metal detecting, hit me back and lets team up
вы что сами напрятали монеты
0:19:29 That's the aggravating part of metal detecting--you're basically screaming "HEY, I'M FINDING FREE MONEY!" And here come the copycats.
I think you missed a silver
+Caleb Jarrell Probably. Got to leave a few seeds to grow more!
Buck Jones cowboy star
do you really need permission to detect at a public park?
+Otelia Gantt You need to know whether or not it's forbidden to detect there!
