I wish there were more questions about the positive aspects of interracial relationships. Dating people from different races (and in my case they were from different nationalities as well) made me learn so much about their cultures, it opened new cultural spheres to me, made me learn new languages, got me more interested in geopolitics or history and eventually made me understand the world much better. Also, it forces you to communicate on a new level : cultural shocks can create misunderstanding, so you're becoming much better at expressing what you feel and how you think to prevent those. Especially if you're not speaking in your mother tongue with your partner. For those reasons I'm thankful for all my past international relationships, even the not-so-good ones. I loved the video anyway ! (The black woman and white guy couple is amazing haha)
Agree! I’m in an interracial relationship, and I feel lucky it is overwhelmingly positive. Cultural differences aren’t always easy to navigate but they aren’t negative either.
@@Lilian040210are you being slow on purpose 😂 She literally grew up Muslim and has a Muslim family And I'm not even Muslim yet I know It's definitely not Sunday Boy bye... and Stop crying under every comment
she clearly knows nothing abt Islam... I doubt her parents even cared abt her dating a muslim since they didnt even educate her on the islamic holy day
What I noticed from this video when I myself am currently in an interracial relationship is how much the family side of the things can affect the partner. On my end, I am Hispanic, and my partner is white. She constantly asks me if my family accepts her since she's the only white person in the family now. I wish she understood how much my family loves her, but I can also understand that the stigma behind it all can make her feel unsure/doubtful.
I mean, in general, you want your partner's family to be accepting of you if you want a future together, but I think when there's that racial/ethnical jump, that unconscious fear of not being accepted gets magnified because there's larger cultural gaps...and with cultural gaps usually come differences in values and beliefs. people generally aren't flexible about their values and beliefs once they are older.
I feel her pain. Except his mom is constantly throwing jabs and shade at me. She once asked about my tattoo and used me as a learning lesson for her other child. Saying her daughter should never get a tattoo. That’s just one example. She’s asked who’s house is better. Hers or my parents. It’s actually so sad for me bc I will never be the Latino catholic doctor she wants him to marry. Thankfully my boyfriend is very good to me and makes me feel better!
I get the opposite feeling from my wife’s family, she’s black and I’m white, tho it’s eased up a lot over the years especially after she gave birth to our first son. When we first got together her brother and sisters, hell even her father were saying “she’d run straight into the arms of a master.”
@@maddimathews1834You're destroying her dream for her son. She wants her Latina daughter in law and adorable Latina/o grand babies. He should be ashamed choosing a white woman over his own women. His poor mother...

The white guy with the black lady has some work to do navigating family and work conversations about him dating a black woman. There is a sense of fear or discomfort still when he talks about these two things and he needs to gunner the courage to be an advocate because this is who he loves.
I had to do that as a black woman the first time I dated a white man. Turns out it was all in my head. People want you to be happy, even if some are surprised or shocked initially. He has to navigate that.
@@sherrigrant573 or he has heard nothing. No one in my family or friends group said anything negative about interracial relationships and yet I had a concern about what they would think. And it ended up being nothing at all. I just had to do it.
The hardest thing of raising biracial children is making sure that they'll embrace both sides of the family. Make sure that they don't feel like they have to choose and are proud of being exactly who they are. I agree with the difference between white moms raising half back children vs black moms with half white children and I have a white mom.
When my kids were in grade school (late 80’s early 90’s) the school secretary called and told me the kids had to choose one race on their forms they couldn’t be marked down as both Asian and Caucasian. I told her I would not make them choose, it was ridiculous that they hadn’t changed the form for more than one race being noted ( we had a number of mixed kids in our neighborhood ) and that if I found out she changed it we were going to have a problem. Our kids lives are richer for coming from two different races and cultures.
Loved the black and white couple reminded me of my relationship with my Hispanic bf! Literally the situation with co-workers, they are too invested for some odd reason on who you date lol 😂
I'm a black woman in an interacial relationship, and the n-word as a black woman rubs me the wrong way regardless of whether you're trying to reclaim the word.. I would never allow my kids personally to use the word.
@@salemwitchfairy9009 you can tell your kids not say whatever you want whether it is or isn’t acceptable in certain cultures. The N word is derogatory regardless, just because one cultural community it is acceptable to use it doesn’t mean it should be used.
I like the white guy and black woman couple. They are so cute and humorous together, and its clear that they're in love.

"They prefer someone who goes to the mosque every Sunday"
it's FRIDAY* my lady 😂
Non-religious person doesn't know religion, wow what a shocker

And I'm not even Muslim yet I know It's definitely not Sunday

She has been with the Latino too long 😂
OMG, I just made a comment almost like this. I converted to Islam years ago. And when I heard her say that, I was like😐🤔hmm🤔😆
3:11 Bro it's the mosque every Friday, I'm weak
she clearly knows nothing abt Islam... I doubt her parents even cared abt her dating a muslim since they didnt even educate her on the islamic holy day
😂so glad someone noticed too
I was like girl lmao
I literally looked for this comment 😅
😂 I said not Sunday sis 😂

That man was so smart for drinking when she told him its okay to say which friend is most attractive 😂
From first impressions only, hella awkward tension between the middle eastern woman and the Hispanic man
She runs the show. That poor brother is p whipped. As evidenced by the fact he just kept taking shots versus answering the questions. He didn't want to say anything "wrong". She started the convo with "I don't count the (whatever) months we were separated but he does". Let's you know everything right there.
@@pathfinderwellcare true.. she was CLEARLY having "fun around town" during that time period.
A lot of your videos seem to have some unstable people, but these 4 couples seem to be truly in love, and committed to the relationship.
The white guy with the black lady has some work to do navigating family and work conversations about him dating a black woman. There is a sense of fear or discomfort still when he talks about these two things and he needs to gunner the courage to be an advocate because this is who he loves.
Yes.
I second that! Man up and tell them. Stand for what you believe in. It’s your life and happiness not theirs.
I had to do that as a black woman the first time I dated a white man. Turns out it was all in my head. People want you to be happy, even if some are surprised or shocked initially. He has to navigate that.
He's heard the things that they say about blacks and doesn't want her exposed to it
@@sherrigrant573 or he has heard nothing.
There's not much of a difference though.
And if your kids want to reclaim the word…you personally cannot tell your kids how to experience blackness I’ve learnt that the hard way
@@salemwitchfairy9009 you can tell your kids not say whatever you want whether it is or isn’t acceptable in certain cultures. The N word is derogatory regardless, just because one cultural community it is acceptable to use it doesn’t mean it should be used. It’s the same as cuss words, many kids are parented to not say them because they are derogatory.
White husband : I'm White
Black Wife : Also White 🤣😄😄, I love her sense of humor.

I love these couples. Great energy. Much respect to them all!
Im Polish, my fiancé is Spanish. Coming from different countries is hard. Invite people from different countries, that’s fun. There’s tons of challenges we face. Even fucking getting married is hard
I really enjoyed experiencing the Filipino/Native American couple. They are precious
I love their vibe. I feel like they prob have some deep conversations

I found the black woman white man couple the most fun and interesting. Their sense of humour was just mind blowing

Mosque every Sunday is Diabolical😅😅
8:55 that’s so profound and real and i don’t think i’ve ever heard that but it’s so important to hear. especially as a mixed kid with an immigrant asian mom, i have an adjacent experience and so this resonates a bit more personally too. that disparity is real and heart breaking especially between black and white moms
