      She is right though, unless they really have several screws missing. She is so funny and would be fun to have around. She would most likely have them laughing before they realise they didn't like her. She cracks me up. I had to watch this over several times since i laughed so hard.

There’s nothing wrong with having a white mom and being biracial like you’re still black, but you’re raised in a totally different mindset. my dad is white and my mom was black and my mom made sure I understood how the world may treat me. I’m thinking his previous partner (they’ve been together a long time so I’m assuming they were young and inexperienced and he didn’t have a lot to compare it to) was just meh? Also, guys prefer different things. If they don’t communicate what they like, how would you know? Same for women. I am now comfortable with telling partners what I like they they don’t fumble around . A previous partner could have like something done one way, which I don’t like. Each person is different. I wish there were more questions about the positive aspects of interracial relationships. Dating people from different races (and in my case they were from different nationalities as well) made me learn so much about their cultures, it opened new cultural spheres to me, made me learn new languages, got me more interested in geopolitics or history and eventually made me understand the world much better. Also, it forces you to communicate on a new level : cultural shocks can create misunderstanding, so you're becoming much better at expressing what you feel and how you think to prevent those. Especially if you're not speaking in your mother tongue with your partner.
    For those reasons I'm thankful for all my past international relationships, even the not-so-good ones.

    What I noticed from this video when I myself am currently in an interracial relationship is how much the family side of the things can affect the partner. On my end, I am Hispanic, and my partner is white. She constantly asks me if my family accepts her since she's the only white person in the family now. I wish she understood how much my family loves her, but I can also understand that the stigma behind it all can make her feel unsure/doubtful.

    • @katl8825
      @katl8825 Рік тому +27

      I mean, in general, you want your partner's family to be accepting of you if you want a future together, but I think when there's that racial/ethnical jump, that unconscious fear of not being accepted gets magnified because there's larger cultural gaps...and with cultural gaps usually come differences in values and beliefs. people generally aren't flexible about their values and beliefs once they are older.

I told her I would not make them choose, it was ridiculous that they hadn’t changed the form for more than one race being noted ( we had a number of mixed kids in our neighborhood ) and that if I found out she changed it we were going to have a problem.

    Kutis and gratitude for all the couples that participated. The black woman in the white man couple have great energy and I hope they make it because it's hard to find someone that you really really vibe with. I hope all the couples are well with each other. I appreciate their sharing.

      @@belovednarrativesto be fair, she just doesn't care. So what she fucked up the day? She did say that she is not into all of that 🤷🏽‍♂️

      Obviously, she made a mistake. She knows it’s Friday. People DO make gaffes.

    These couples were great, but I can’t lie. I found it odd that the Middle Eastern girl said her usual past type was white men but that I was *okay* because her partner had lighter skin anyway so she thought he was white. Like….?

      Lol I feel like she was just trying to make her partner feel better bc he’s not “white” and since that’s her usual type she’s tryna make it so he can still feel like he’s her type

    LOL! This is one of the best in a while. The Black woman (Brie?) had me laughing from the get-go. Definitely go to his company picnic, you’re absolutely right that you are easily lovable lol.
