Fishing is great but please avoid the religious cults unless you like being brain washed and molested. All religions are fake fairytales, and all Abrahamic religions are stolen from older pagan beliefs. Do your own research, it's all there on google and at the library, oldest scam in the history of mankind. Religions were created to enslave and control the stupid masses of humans; most of us are evolved now and don't need these corrupt cults to be good humans. Just be a good person and stay safe!
John. Karter Bone's comment is why the Lord has you doing what you do. Keep it up. We don't always see the results of our faithfulness, but He's promised to reward it. Thank you.
Hi John, one way you could rig it would be to think of that craw like a tube style soft plastic. Use a tube jig head inside the hollow body of the craw.
That size and color Crawbug is one of my favorite soft plastics. I had better head to Walmart and get some more before everyone else cleans them out like those bubblegum Yum Dingers.
Rig those like tubes. I've been using those baits for decades and they produce. Before YUM, they were MadMan's Crawbugs. Yum bought the rights and the mold years ago. In muddy water, throw the black with red flake and hold on.
I love your videos and the wholesome, compassionate content , and look forward to all your weekly posts. I had to stop watching the video today, I'm sure it's my critical mindstate I fined myself in lately, and positive... I mean I am confident that what I had picked up on is unintentional, and even sometimes difficult to accomplish given the often adverse terrain that we hunt for unpressured fish, which is a passion I know we share. Sorry in advance for being judgemental.
John, you are "rocking the bass" in this one ! LOL ! Pardon the pun ! Good to get any creek critters this time of the year. Thanks for content, for those of us that can't get out easily this time of year. I agree with your end analysis of "stable water and stable weather" for best possible winter chance. Always be safe. Randy B.
Again, another video that fully shows your technique. I also noticed your skill with the turnaround and getting the lure back into the water for another retrieve. I’m gonna work on my casting skills a bit this year.
Well buddy you discovered one of our creek and river go-to lures. We rig the 2.5 Yum craw bug on a 1/0 - 2/0 Weighted Keeper hook jig and "polish rocks" for smallies. The mid-shank weight makes it drop more horizontal than butt first. The hollow body allows for a nice hook set. Glad you found some bass. Blessings John
It's been so long since I went fishing I've forgotten how to detect a bite, you must not have done good with the spinnerbait or you would have showed it, one thing about tying to straight braid is if you get hung up it will be hard to get that bait back because the braid is way stronger than line! Great video!
Good video! Winter creek fishing can be tough! When it comes to spinner baits I believe you would be hard pressed to beat a black or brown rooster tail or dark colored meppsin the winter creeks. The yum products seem to be doing you great. I have not used them a lot but your positive experiences with them is pushing me to try them more. Winter can be a really good time to fly fish especially with weighed head wolly buggers and bead head nymphs the hellgrammite lure could really do good here. You hit the nail on the head with you have to fish the bottom, I believe that is the success to most creek fishing but especially in winter. Keep up the great work and as always when you get ready to do some videos in the helen ga area shoot me a message I will put you in a cabin on the creek.
I'm so jealous that you can fish open water there all year, basically. I'm not a fan of winter, lol, and all we have is "hardwater" fishing until April.
Try trout magnets or mini trout magnets in the winter. I’d just put them on under a float and maybe put some small split shot to assist casting. Then just use it like a crappie jig. It’s small and subtle.
Thanks, John!!! GREAT information to have!!! Your knowledge is greatly appreciated!!! You never know what climate or weather conditions you'll be experiencing while fishing for fun or survival. God Bless you and yours.
In VA, if the stream is less than 50 miles long, it's a creek, if over 50 miles, it's a river. Not sure how it is in other states. Also in VA, if you can float the stream in a canoe, it's considered public water even if it crosses private property. Some land owners disagree with that law and harass fisherman even if they stay in the water while crossing private property.
Mosty correct except in the S west where there are some Kings Grant land/water issues where the landowners DO own the water from hundreds of years ago. In most states navigable water means you can take a powered boat up river/creek. It really should be any water you can float down or paddle/motor up more than 50%
I’ve had real good luck with that Yum craw on a 1/8 oz ned rig hook. I’m always curious about the water temperature where you’re fishing. My local water is hovering around upper 30’s to low 40’s and the bite is practically nonexistent. Great job!
John i would like too see you make a low budget fishing setup rod and reel lures hooks for people with little money that will work good great video nice creek nice fish thank you for videos
John, I just had this thought tonight: Has the idea of maybe making a DVD (or a series) of "BEST OF CFA" ever crossed your mind? I know you have a LOT of videos, and you could do them on different themes: Big Fish Trips; How To _________; Florida Trips; Panfish; Smallmouth; Big River Fishing, and so on. I know nothing of what might be involved in such a project - It's just an idea. Babe Winkelman, and In-Fisherman have done these kinds of things.
Them small claws are same ones in Jason cristie kit at Walmart. I bought one 10 years ago like 15 bucks. It had all the hooks and like 5 diffrent sizes and colors of that little craw with hollow body and tail coming back to body. Killers on creek fishing.
Still can't believe how active the creeks have been this year, blows my mind. Usually they turn off around muzzle loader season and don't turn back on until late March or whenever we get a few warm weeks in a row.
You are like once I bought my first Shimano reel and rod that’s all I wanted to use and not every reel I own is Shimano and all rods are Shimano and Gloomis or Shimano owned rods
You turn the reel like a pro! I wish the fish had a way too feed them so you can give them a reward like how when people catch lobster they put a minnow in its claw and release it so that they have a little snack to leave them off better than they were especially after going through all that. I almost think sport fisherman should carry along a little syringe full of food pellets or something so that they can stick it down in the fishes belly and pump some food in there. Do you realize how awesome fishing would be if everyone did that? Fish are often times extremely stressed after being caught especially in the down season when they are technically starving and are trying to conserve just enough energy to make it to the next feeding season.
Talking bout potentially catching a bass, as a fish skip walks across the water behind him. I was like....no way! 0:26 left side of screen. Over his right shoulder
John, I'm curious, do you use straight braid or tie on a leader? I'm starting to experiment with braid, and was told most time you tie on leader, but certain situations you don't have to. That looks like hi viz braid. I have that same braid. Thanks for another great video.
I quite enjoyed the video! I’ve been doing more creek fishing since I found your channel, actually! though I can’t really get in the water because of the alligators 🐊 👀! They’re all over and it just wouldn’t be smart, I don’t think 🤔?
I love your videos im a young kid who loves fishing and you inspired me to go fishing and go to church and now I’m saved thank you John
thats really awesome to hear!
Hey, Karter. That's great! Thanks so much for sharing your story!

John. Karter Bone's comment is why the Lord has you doing what you do. Keep it up. We don't always see the results of our faithfulness, but He's promised to reward it. Thank you.
Another great day fishing. It’s not always about the big ones. Enjoying Gods beautiful creation is always a good day
Walking the Creek. Back to the roots. I like it and in winter 🥶 to boot!
That's my favorite Yum Craw Bug. Lots of Red eyes, Small Mouth, and Large mouth. Great winter video.
Hi John, one way you could rig it would be to think of that craw like a tube style soft plastic. Use a tube jig head inside the hollow body of the craw.
God puts us where we need to be!! He puts you on point, for all to enjoy!! God bless brother 🎣
That size and color Crawbug is one of my favorite soft plastics. I had better head to Walmart and get some more before everyone else cleans them out like those bubblegum Yum Dingers.
Looks like South Chickamauga creek in Ringgold, Ga. Love fishing there
You've come a long way. Think your were at 27K when I stumbled on to your feed. May the Lord continue to bless you and yours brother!
Yes! Thank you!
Heard you on the working class podcast. Great show and I’m glad to have found the channel!
Awesome! Thank you!
Good old rock bass you were slaying them for the time of year
Rig those like tubes. I've been using those baits for decades and they produce. Before YUM, they were MadMan's Crawbugs. Yum bought the rights and the mold years ago. In muddy water, throw the black with red flake and hold on.
Glad to see you back on the creek!
I love those yum crawbugs. That color combo is irresistible to those young bass

Ive seen/used it rigged shank over the top, with the barb in the hollow of the bottom of the body no piercing necessary
Dude...! It's about time!!! LOL....Water cold??? When you coming down to Richmond? We need to tear up some Mexican food.....let'me know. G
I’m going to get Mexican food now 😂
That’s Creek Fishing Adventures! And in January yet! Thanks for sharing John.

Another great Video as always Brutha! This one should be called 'the Rock Bass SMASH'.
I love that rig setup, especially for the creek. I have used those craws before but it looks perfect on that offset ned hook!
Classic Intro✅️
Beautiful Creeks✅️
Solid Fish✅️
Useful Info✅️
Yup. Another C.F.A. Banger
Much appreciated
Perfect stream. Thank you for another adventure.
Picked up some of those ewg ned heads. Ned rig is def on my list of things to master this year
John I have those same lures you are using but I have never used them eather but I wil this spring thanks

Ah I love rock bass! That and warmouth are my favorite fish to catch! Fighters!
I picked up some those crayfish yums. Looking forward to using them.
I really like the videos you post. I've learned a lot from watching them. I don't own a boat to go out on the lake, so I do a lot of creek fishing.
I have caught Large Mouth Bass through the ice up north. So they are active year round.
You never disappoint John, enjoyed it🐟🐟🐟
Those Rock Bass were stacked!!! My goodness 😳 😍
Looks like south chickamuga creek. 👊🏻💪
I bought a couple bags of those crayfish soft plastics years ago. I couldn’t figure out why they were hollow either. They caught fish, though.
THANKS JOHN FOR THE ADVENTURE!!!! As always you bring us another good video with some great tips for winter creek fishing. GOD BLESS and GO KATS!!!!
It's been so long since I went fishing I've forgotten how to detect a bite, you must not have done good with the spinnerbait or you would have showed it, one thing about tying to straight braid is if you get hung up it will be hard to get that bait back because the braid is way stronger than line! The nikko craws are so good!
Another awesome video! Keep up the good work John!
Hey JOHN great to hear. the young man trusting the Lord love those videos.
I was just thinking about you my brother; glad to see your making creek fishing videos
Nice setup for that creek! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome Mister John
I'm so jealous that you can fish open water there all year, basically. I'm not a fan of winter, lol, and all we have is "hardwater" fishing until April.
Do Yall not have a white bass run, were right in the middle of it in Texas , you need to plan to come out here for it next year.
yes we do ion a few places, should start seeing them soon around here
At least there is no snow ❄️🌨️ ketch some fish Thanks 🙏 for the video
PS: I got a couple med-light Piscifun spinning rods on deep discount. Really impressed with the quality/action.
Ive been loving the Zman TRD Bug and Craw lately!
Try trout magnets or mini trout magnets in the winter. I’d just put them on under a float and maybe put some small split shot to assist casting. Then just use it like a crappie jig. It’s small and subtle.
Thanks, John!!!
GREAT information to have!!!

God Bless you and yours.
Thank you for sharing Mr John. God bless you and your whole family....🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀
Love those craw bugs in that color, one of the few lures I’ve actually had consistent luck with around me. Along with the crickhoppers of course.
That yum crawbug is all that I ever use. It works best, in my opinion, on a 1/16 oz jighead. I drift mine in semi swift water

That was really sound advice. 👌

That soft bait is imitating a soft shell crayfish that smallest and Rock bass love
John i would like too see you make a low budget fishing setup rod and reel lures hooks for people with little money that will work good great video nice creek nice fish thank you for videos
I’ve actually have used those craws for trailers a lot. They work great on jigs

thats a good idea, i try to have them in playlists to find certain ones
@@CreekFishingAdventures P.S. - I sure wish the CFA long-sleeve T-shirts would come back. The one I have is wearing out.
Where can I get one of your creek hats?
Them small claws are same ones in Jason cristie kit at Walmart. I bought one 10 years ago like 15 bucks. It had all the hooks and like 5 diffrent sizes and colors of that little craw with hollow body and tail coming back to body. Killers on creek fishing.
Good ol rockbass got to love em I use that same craw on jigs for a trailer in the river you know which river I'm talking about
Where did you get the strange intro music
Good video 👍🏼 and thanks for the tips
Winter fishing up here in Chicagoland is just so hard on my frozen hands. Don't like to fish with gloves. Especially with ultralight tackle. ❄
Gonna go try this out in a spot I found near me with slow water in the next few days. Subscribed!!
Good luck!
Great video
Mannnn that little Greene sunfish attacking the camera killed me😂 they are sooooo aggressive. One of my favorite fish for sure
I put the 2.5'' yum crawbugs on a yellow/orange 1/4oz jighead and get huge pond bass on them
in Phoenix az
Always love them Creek videos!👍🙂
Those little craws are awesome 😎
Thanks for sharing1
Excellent video as always John. Love it!
I JUST took the same yum Crawl to a shallow park of a river here in ohio lol. Got skunked 😂
Nice. Nothin wrong with action in January
I was hooking and throwing those plastic crayfish all kinds of wrong, good stuff.
Still can't believe how active the creeks have been this year, blows my mind. Usually they turn off around muzzle loader season and don't turn back on until late March or whenever we get a few warm weeks in a row.
it has been weird this year, i feel like they have been a bit more active than normal
Do you have a link to the bag you carry creek fishing? Ringgold Rockbass?
this was just a Walmart sling bag
At MI us 35 i,all stay inside a little longer.
You are like once I bought my first Shimano reel and rod that’s all I wanted to use and not every reel I own is Shimano and all rods are Shimano and Gloomis or Shimano owned rods
they are nice
Awesome video with great tips at the end.

Just talked to you a bit at the NIKKO booth awesome to meet ya in person. Maybe we can cross paths hit up some bluegill or smallmouth sometime.
yes sir good to meet you
John I’m always a little surprised how you stick to warm water species but never go after trout. Is that on purpose? Just curious; love the content
yeah pretty much, I just dont have as much fun going for trout
@@CreekFishingAdventures One thing I can say John goes for anything that bites! And he also caught some good trout at the damn where he was fishing. ❤
@CreekFishingAdventures John, next time you're near Kingsport I'll put you on some trophy size trout.
Love that Yum Craw... It's not quite as good as the Nikko Craw... But they do well when I run out of Nikko's... Hahahahahaha
John, another great video. What kind of hoodie are you wearing and where did you get it ? Thanks
booyah hoodie from lurenet.com

yeah that could be a problem
Great video!
What creeks around Nashville, TN would you recommend? Great video! Thanks!
there are several that have nice parks and access, any of them can have good fishing
