- There is something special about wading through a clear stream and catching wild smallmouth bass without anyone in sight. Very peaceful and you get a feeling of wondering who else has caught these fish.

I love it that you can catch a five pound fish in your kayak, or a bluegill in a roadside ditch, and your level of excitement is the same. You’re a pure fisherman.
Agreed
He does, however, have a prejudice against trout.
I’ve been a creek/roadside ditch/ water no one else wants fish, fisherman my whole life. Seeing you do what you do is a great reminder of what fishing really is, pure joy
John have you considered talking to one of you bait sponsors and getting a creek fishing adventure tackle set to sell to your subscribers. It could have any of your tried baits that everyone has seen you fish with. Then you could use your dalton10 for a slight discount. I would buy one.
I would buy 3 or 4 myself!
In theory he could source and compile these kits on his own, and sell for what I would hope to be a profit. If only there were two of him! Lol joking.. you can do it if you want, John!
@@trolltracker I would hope something like this would go over so well that he could get these and let his sister handle them as she does his other items. I would love to see him come out with this to help the anglers out there and put a few dollars in his pocket
Yup ! I would have to have one of those ! Pap Blevins
If I had to guess, I’d say a Creek Fishing Adventures tackle kit would basically be a big ol’ box of hellgrammites lol
Pound for pound, the best gamefish of them all.
The view and anticipation at 8:30, keeps old guys like me going through the winters.
Looks like a National Geographic video there! If only it were 4K!
Love those smallies always has been and will be my favorite fish to catch.
They are so fun to catch
I don’t know how you do it John, but your videos just keep getting better and better! Love the cut ins with the nature shots. Thanks for another winner!
I appreciate that!
The verses too
Couldn't agree more. His eye for nature is great. That Millipede was so cool. John doesn't miss much at all what he likes we like. Then he captures it on film he does all the work and we get to set back in our comfortable chairs an watch. I t Means a lot, John thanks.
His intro with the sunfish blasting the camera will be forever epic.
such a beautiful creek. so peaceful. some really pretty color on this bass. One thing for sure....you will never go hungry lol.
The Little Critters are a nice touch, keep it up John!😎👍
I’ve been really busy with college and work recently and haven’t had time to fish but these vids help. Thanks.
It amazing that with all the water that came through last weekend that they’re still there. I went through the gorge today on the way back from Cherokee, and that deep blue-green water was amazing. I was looking for you down there!
What a beautiful stream and fish, great video.
I wish I was able to walk, climb or simply get to some of the local creeks to fish like you do.
I am disabled by a neuromuscular condition and cannot maneuver safely to and from most wild creeks. I take some solace in enjoying your fishing adventures, but I really envy your freedom.
Enjoyed the nature shots . The water was so clear. Good job, the video was a fun to watch.
Those black specs are the larval stage of an invasive species of snail. Herons transport it everywhere they go.
I came upon your channel today from watching a video from your trip in Indiana... Then I found your from Tennessee... Nice!!! You fish like I do.. Your knowledge is very good.. as well as the cam you use.. The sound is good on your mic as well... overall... I can watch from my tv.. as well as my cell phone.. and also go onto my pc.. and enjoy it as well.. Thank you for sharing your videos and fishing trips,, I look forward too enjoying many more...
I now realize how much I love the sound of braid..almost as much as the sound of drag letting line out... punctuated only by an occasional splash! Kudos brother! Great video!
Beautiful fish and scenery! Stay safe and fish on!
Man I miss fishing like this and catching smallies! Great video
My kind of fishing. Love to wade, you can see all of nature
Way to go John another awesome video bro... And make sure you don't cut out the part where you slap the water before you grab the trout😂.
Great video brother. Appreciate you taking us along on this beautiful wading trip in the creek. Love to see smallies chasing the ones you're fighting. Shows me there's plenty of action. Everything was crisp, scenery and nature spectacular. Blessings John
Was doing this for the last two months out here in 18 mile creek. So much fun hitting them river smallies!! Good on ya, mate!
River smallies are beasts! Hooked bout a 4 pounder in a crystal clear river near me. Fought 15 minutes before it broke the line. Absolute savage.
Man they are so strong
John, I've watched your videos from the beginning when you first started posting them. It's enjoyable to see all the beautiful places you venture to.
Hey John nice fishing loving all your fishing Videos. Keep up the good fish I all so love creek fishing
great video and great fishing John and beautiful nature!! thank you for sharing!!
Just beautiful scenery & some nice catches, hard to beat that SM bite!👍🙏
Great video John, keep em coming.
Good stuff as always, John! Brought back fun memories when I fished parts of that stretch! BTW: Love the musical interlude with the nature shots! Your videography is second to none! :-)
Working on my Georgia Bass Slam. Just picked up my Bartams. Thanks to you I know where to grab my Georgia smallie!👍
Wow does this bring back memories of fishing these holes when I visited family in Kingsport Tn. Blessings from Seward Alaska, and thanks for the great post!
Great scenery and. Nice clear water look like great time
I was up there Friday morning trout fishing. I'm loving this early season low flow schedule.
I love the fact you’re taking the steps to raise your game in the bass world is you create videos fire each step in you’re journey the successes and failures it’s brilliant. You are already an amazing angler and I Am so inspired by what you have accomplished what you are doing.i am very new to the bass world and I’m learning everyday from some great anglers, but you are the topping on the cake and I can’t wait to get myself out on my first kayak bass fishing adventure. You keep pushing yourself forward and upward reaching higher milestones. You are already making young girls want to go for their potential as well in the bass world or in life in general just do it!!!!! Take care and God bless ❤❤❤❤❤
Recently gotten some time back to watch youtube again and loving your videos still. Glad you are still making them.
Glad to hear it!
Beautiful river reminds me of rivers I fish in Michigan for native trout Brookies. NICE CATCH love those smallmouth👍
Another good video! I spent the day smallmouth fishing in a Lake Erie river… nada😩glad to see someone can catch them 👍🏻
What a beautiful place
Great video John🐟🎣🐟🎣
I think you had a good time this trip John,.....glad to got into them. I'll be headed back there in a week or so myself. We caught 14 trout between the 3 of us below the powerhouse this morning. Was a very good day. Keep putting up the videos man,....I sure enjoy them.
Спасибо за видео!Привет из Владивостока (Россия).
Always love the great scenery as you go on your adventures! Also like when you talk about the lures as you fish them. Glad the weather and your water was not moving too fast! I’m still in the Nikko hellgrammite camp. Tried another brand but it seriously smelled of plastic.
A trout fan from New Zealand here watching your videos. We only have rainbow and brown trout (basically as our key freshwater river fish species) - no bass to enjoy so have to watch your channel.
i have seen lots of videos from there, it would be nice but i really like are smallmouth bass
Another great video and content. You're doing a great job changing up your videos to keep things interesting.
My favorite UA-cam channel 🎣👍
Great catch
Great video, keep fishin’
If I had an aquarium big enough, I’d totally keep a smallie or a spot
Great video a nice day of fishingb
Wow John! What a beautiful great place to fish. Maybe I can make a trip over there this summer and we can finally fish a spot like that.
its nice but tough going
Love to see you do more appalachian mtn, creek fishing adventures. Those fish are insane would love to keep a couple beauties in my aquarium, their colors are unmatched to lake smallies!
Another great video. Love the pre-outro in the middle. It shows how beautiful God’s creation is. Nice fishing too
I catch alot of smallies trout fishing, thats pretty good. Pound fir pound, smallies fight harder by far, love them
I fish water like this in the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA, love it!
I LOVE IT UP THERE!!!! we usually go on up and fish the swirly tho!
Awesome video man 🎣
All beautiful nice fish
Envy rod and a Stradic reel. Nice setup
Always an entertaining video 😊 I setup a mini pond with a big bluegill and wild shiners
Wow
Trusty old reliable hellgrammite still getting it done!!!
Thats a beautiful spot. I got my first hellgramite fish this week, two nice brown trout. I usually catch 10 rainbows to 1 brown but since i was trying to catch rainbows for a weekly tournament, i caight 7 browns to 1 rainbow.
I'd buy one too! Another great video.
As a New Englander and a back woods fisherman I feel you made a big mistake while carrying you fishing rod. Always walk with your the tip of your rod trailing behind you at a level. That way your tip won’t get caught on or in an overhead branch . I had to laugh when you caught and released that rainbow trout. Trout is a wanted fish here in New England. Native Brook trout are the tastiest and the smaller ones have no bones to worry since they are soft and not fully developed. Thanks for the video. Keep a tight line.
Enjoyed.
Those Rainbow Trout are feisty fellows!!!! Wooooooo weeeeeeeeeee
Nice catches
Man the river looks beautiful right now! I didn't know it got that low
Great video
Thank you for the beautiful shots of God’s Glory John 🙏🏼❣️🇺🇸
Nice work
Love your videos .I'd like to see a creek fishing video using barbless hooks and pros and cons . Some think that some lost hookups are actually due to the barb .
Beautiful video as always! I need a new hat and I'm about to pick up one of yours.
Also, ironically I got two phishing attempts from the lurenet website linked.
Oh man, This is the french broad river! I love fishing here. cherokee is absolutely beautiful. But this can be a difficult river. you have to be an able fisherman to yield results here.
+1 subscriber
Pretty little smallmouth and beautiful country. I just got back from KY where I got skunked on smallies. Caught a few nice largemouth though
This was a very good video. Even though you have fished some of this water before on video this one was much better. Also im a sucker for the helgramite vids anyway. I bought 70 dollars worth of nikos last summer and gave many of them to family members to have for the niko experiance. I am still liking the small obsidian ones on a 1/16 oz jig head the best. I caught the first redeye bass i have seen in a decade in our creek on that lure.
I bet that lure would work for inshore salt/brackish water too. I'm going to try it.
Think this is also my favorite type of fishing! It's a little hard here in N.Florida to find a creek you can walk up without a boat, and you also have to watch for venomous snakes, gators and other critters that could wreck your day, but I'm still going to walk up creeks when I find them...FishOn....Jim
Were you at? I am in Pensacola and we have a number of good creeks in the county. I try to walk alongside them as apposed to wading, but the sandy ones are fine for wading as long as you watch for snakes.
@@Steve-ev6vx Hi Steve I'm near Live Oak (Suwannee river) but not many creeks with public access that you can walk up...FishOn...jimi
@@1jimif Y'all sure do have some pretty rivers to fish on though!
I love your vids so much this is an awesome video keep fishing! 🎣, Also can you make a video of boat fishing by chance if not it’s fine.
Greetings from the BIG SKY of Montana.
i hope to make it out there one day soon
@@CreekFishingAdventures Keep an eye open for rattle snakes.
Im in Cherokee NC currently!
Always Love ya vids John....I wonder if anyone realized Matthew 3:3 is Talking about John The Baptist? Plus Extra Bonus...your name also is John. lol May The Lord Bless You with many More days of fishing!!!
This is how I fish, Subbed!!!! 🎉
Appreciate it!!
Loving on the smallies ! Always be careful, watch for snakes. Pap Blevins
I've never heard someone so disappointed to catch a trout 😅
Its so funny when a small fish burst out the water when ur reeling it in. Looks like a fish stick u eat coming out of the water😭😭
awesome 1 fan dude
Smallmouth Bass, Big 6 pounders Lake of the Woods Canadian side.
Gorgeous content. Bass^trout ... but respect to both anglers and fish
In retrospect, you need to release the fish with more care. If you value your quarry, put them back like you want to see them live. Don't give them a slap to the face by throwing them in hard into the water after you've caught them
ive talked to Fisheries biologists and they say it fine
Another great video!! You make fishing look so easy!! Question…… do you rig your Hellgrammite weightless or with a ned rig. I bought some just trying to figure out the best technique. Thanks!
it is getting to be prime time for fishing - you should go back to st croix/Pa for the giants, know it is a haul but worth it, bring spotlock motor
Yes it is
Back to back to back.
What set up with what line are you using?
When we were kids hunting spring lizards in the rotten leaves we found them which we called penny winklers.
And also your reel. I want to get the same setup.
Dude, I just preached Matthew 3 last night!
That looks like a great day on the water.
John is a fisher of men..
What’s up John I was wondering is you have any recommendations for beginner kayaks because I’m trying to fish some creeks
Beautiful place. Is that an old mill? What is that? Really cool.
That is a beautiful clean river area. What river, near what town?
How I miss those adventures around the lake and the streams, when I was just a kid 🥺...
Thanks again, Father God 🙏☝️... The limestone creeks were just packed with everything a little kid needed for self education about the biology of joyful hours... No cell phone service needed 😎!!! Just a cane pole and a few worms!!!👍
