I love it that you can catch a five pound fish in your kayak, or a bluegill in a roadside ditch, and your level of excitement is the same. You’re a pure fisherman.
I’ve been a creek/roadside ditch/ water no one else wants fish, fisherman my whole life. Seeing you do what you do is a great reminder of what fishing really is, pure joy
John have you considered talking to one of you bait sponsors and getting a creek fishing adventure tackle set to sell to your subscribers. It could have any of your tried baits that everyone has seen you fish with. Then you could use your dalton10 for a slight discount. I would buy one.
In theory he could source and compile these kits on his own, and sell for what I would hope to be a profit. If only there were two of him! Lol joking.. you can do it if you want, John!
@@trolltracker I would hope something like this would go over so well that he could get these and let his sister handle them as she does his other items. I would love to see him come out with this to help the anglers out there and put a few dollars in his pocket
I don’t know how you do it John, but your videos just keep getting better and better! Love the cut ins with the nature shots. Thanks for another winner!
Couldn't agree more. His eye for nature is great. That Millipede was so cool. John doesn't miss much at all what he likes we like. Then he captures it on film he does all the work and we get to set back in our comfortable chairs an watch. I t Means a lot, John thanks.
I now realize how much I love the sound of braid..almost as much as the sound of drag letting line out... punctuated only by an occasional splash! Kudos brother! Great video!
I came upon your channel today from watching a video from your trip in Indiana... Then I found your from Tennessee... Nice!!! You fish like I do.. Your knowledge is very good.. as well as the cam you use.. The sound is good on your mic as well... overall... I can watch from my tv.. as well as my cell phone.. and also go onto my pc.. and enjoy it as well.. Thank you for sharing your videos and fishing trips,, I look forward too enjoying many more...
Great video brother. Appreciate you taking us along on this beautiful wading trip in the creek. Love to see smallies chasing the ones you're fighting. Shows me there's plenty of action. Everything was crisp, scenery and nature spectacular. Blessings John
Good stuff as always, John! Brought back fun memories when I fished parts of that stretch! BTW: Love the musical interlude with the nature shots! Your videography is second to none! :-)
I love the fact you’re taking the steps to raise your game in the bass world is you create videos fire each step in you’re journey the successes and failures it’s brilliant. You are already an amazing angler and I Am so inspired by what you have accomplished what you are doing.i am very new to the bass world and I’m learning everyday from some great anglers, but you are the topping on the cake and I can’t wait to get myself out on my first kayak bass fishing adventure. You keep pushing yourself forward and upward reaching higher milestones. You are already making young girls want to go for their potential as well in the bass world or in life in general just do it!!!!! Take care and God bless ❤❤❤❤❤
It amazing that with all the water that came through last weekend that they’re still there. I went through the gorge today on the way back from Cherokee, and that deep blue-green water was amazing. I was looking for you down there!
I wish I was able to walk, climb or simply get to some of the local creeks to fish like you do. I am disabled by a neuromuscular condition and cannot maneuver safely to and from most wild creeks. I take some solace in enjoying your fishing adventures, but I really envy your freedom.
A trout fan from New Zealand here watching your videos. We only have rainbow and brown trout (basically as our key freshwater river fish species) - no bass to enjoy so have to watch your channel.
Wow does this bring back memories of fishing these holes when I visited family in Kingsport Tn. Blessings from Seward Alaska, and thanks for the great post!
I think you had a good time this trip John,.....glad to got into them. I'll be headed back there in a week or so myself. We caught 14 trout between the 3 of us below the powerhouse this morning. Was a very good day. Keep putting up the videos man,....I sure enjoy them.
Think this is also my favorite type of fishing! It's a little hard here in N.Florida to find a creek you can walk up without a boat, and you also have to watch for venomous snakes, gators and other critters that could wreck your day, but I'm still going to walk up creeks when I find them...FishOn....Jim
Were you at? I am in Pensacola and we have a number of good creeks in the county. I try to walk alongside them as apposed to wading, but the sandy ones are fine for wading as long as you watch for snakes.
Always love the great scenery as you go on your adventures! Also like when you talk about the lures as you fish them. Glad the weather and your water was not moving too fast! I’m still in the Nikko hellgrammite camp. Tried another brand but it seriously smelled of plastic.
I've heard so many stories about that place, usually prefaced by "Now, there are a ton of rattlesnakes....." Thanks for sharing, and for not naming it. It's not a secret, but the internet has ruined many a place, secret or not.
Thats a beautiful spot. I got my first hellgramite fish this week, two nice brown trout. I usually catch 10 rainbows to 1 brown but since i was trying to catch rainbows for a weekly tournament, i caight 7 browns to 1 rainbow.
As a New Englander and a back woods fisherman I feel you made a big mistake while carrying you fishing rod. Always walk with your the tip of your rod trailing behind you at a level. That way your tip won’t get caught on or in an overhead branch . I had to laugh when you caught and released that rainbow trout. Trout is a wanted fish here in New England. Native Brook trout are the tastiest and the smaller ones have no bones to worry since they are soft and not fully developed. Thanks for the video. Keep a tight line.
My favorite creek has only small pools and a trickle currently? Ohio drought. I'm still going to walk it with the grandson who is only 6. He can catch some pan fish in there. They are in there. Hiding somewhere.
John: Tackle question. How long have you had your Stradic FM? I bought one a little over a month ago myself. I have 2 Stradic FL 1000HG's and got the new Stradic FM 1000HG for a new TFO ultra Lite Panfish II. It was a bit hard to turn the handle compared to my old ones. Like they used truck grease in it instead of reel grease. About ten trips in, I made a cast after moving spots and felt what I thought was a tiny brim hit. Leaned into it but nothing was there. Started reeling again and felt what I thought was a bunch of machine gun brim hits. Cast out again and the machine gun tics/taps started again right away. Figured out it was the reel, not fish! It was really bad! Returned the reel. For $200 it sure shouldn't have felt like that! Defective or Infinity drive issues? Let me know how yours works out. It already looks like the reel handle is turning a whole lot more freely than mine was. I may have just got a bad reel. I'll be very interested in how yours works out over the next year. Nice video by the way. Looked like a lot of fun. Blessings!
In retrospect, you need to release the fish with more care. If you value your quarry, put them back like you want to see them live. Don't give them a slap to the face by throwing them in hard into the water after you've caught them
This was a very good video. Even though you have fished some of this water before on video this one was much better. Also im a sucker for the helgramite vids anyway. I bought 70 dollars worth of nikos last summer and gave many of them to family members to have for the niko experiance. I am still liking the small obsidian ones on a 1/16 oz jig head the best. I caught the first redeye bass i have seen in a decade in our creek on that lure.
Oh man, This is the french broad river! I love fishing here. cherokee is absolutely beautiful. But this can be a difficult river. you have to be an able fisherman to yield results here. +1 subscriber
Beautiful video as always! I need a new hat and I'm about to pick up one of yours. Also, ironically I got two phishing attempts from the lurenet website linked.
Love your videos .I'd like to see a creek fishing video using barbless hooks and pros and cons . Some think that some lost hookups are actually due to the barb .

Yup ! I would have to have one of those ! Pap Blevins
If I had to guess, I’d say a Creek Fishing Adventures tackle kit would basically be a big ol’ box of hellgrammites lol
River smallies are beasts! Hooked bout a 4 pounder in a crystal clear river near me. Fought 15 minutes before it broke the line. Absolute savage.
Man they are so strong

I’ve been really busy with college and work recently and haven’t had time to fish but these vids help. Thanks.
Love those smallies always has been and will be my favorite fish to catch.
They are so fun to catch
Was doing this for the last two months out here in 18 mile creek. So much fun hitting them river smallies!! Good on ya, mate!
