They are the Motherlode of the L.A. post punk alternative scene. Jane's Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fishbone, among so many other bands looked up to them. I can say that Excene is a friend, and i am proud to say that. They were the best. Period
The B-52's said....Your O.K. but you need more practice. This was in Rolling Stones. Black Flag said they were above average. A Band called Death blew them off stage.
The Pretenders Tatooed Love Boys, and Bad Boys get spanked are better songs. In fact....X may have copied these songs. The Pretenders said...hold my beer.

The band was really at the 'top of their game" at this moment in time ... I have countless memories of them and, seeing 'em live ? These tapes brings back the fun and joy.
Who owns the rights to these original X videos anyways? I know they were originally on Slash, then signed to Elektra Records (which is when they release this track "The Hungry Wolf") which was then absorbed into Warner Bros. Records which was later bought by someone else...jeez it's hard to keep track these days. Anyways, it would be nice if the owner of these original X videos would release nice, clean, clear HD copies of them to UA-cam & other streaming outlets because for years we have had to put up with fuzzy, incomplete, static-y, low quality dupes online to see them. This band deserves way better. Rhino? I think I'm looking in your direction...
Exene was ahead of her time.. so lovely in this video with her big doe eyes... a decade later Courtney Love would literally copy this exact look crown and all..
