Hey everyone and welcome back to my UA-cam Channel!
In this video I am going to unbox the new Tudor Black Bay 58 blue M79030B-0001 and do the full review of the watch. My friend Mark made it possible, that I could finally get my hands on one, as the watch is still not available for purchase at our ADs or lets say only available via wish list or waiting list.

I own this model too and absolutely LOVE it! It literally checks all the boxes for a luxury watch.
I got my Tudor directly from the AD with no issues....they usually don't have popular watches in long enough to have them on hand for people to check them out.
This blue reflect perfectly the light the dial and the bezel look very shiny. A very nice watch for collectors. The price is fair regarding the quality.
Nice watch.. but what you said is totally right about the scarcity game and the attitude towards watch enthusiasts when they approach an AD. Not all are the same but you need to be lucky to meet a good sales guy at an AD
Its quite available now. I got one used unworn new 400$ below retail.
Nice looking watch I love the blue , I totally agree with you regarding ADs VIP lists it’s about time that they started looking after the average man on the street !
Very nice watch and excellent review , but I’m not completely sold on this blue. I am happy with my black version which looks more vintage and fits better the style of the case, the bracelet and the dial!

Great watch for the price. Give your AD a break regarding VIP and create a relationship with them by stopping in and showing an interest in their store. You don’t have to buy everything in site to be a good customer.
This is my dream watch.. I want it so bad, but I know I should save the money for my first apartment instead. One day though, I will buy this watch.. I just know it.
Nice vid. Black or blue is still a scarcity especially for someone getting into the hobby. It definitely leaves a bad vibe or turn them off into the hobby. The younger up and coming generations should be the target population but scarcity/waiting game may just turn them off..especially if it is the 1st encounter at the AD. You should do a vid about the experience one may encounter from one AD to the next.
I'm between this and a Tudor Royal in blue for my second luxury watch. Currently own an Omega SMP 300m
Luckily my ad had one in stock and messaged me to come and get it. Although it’s not the one I wanted it came in the soft leather, would have preferred the bracelet. Still it’s a very nice watch and currently have it on a Barton strap in blue and red bottom
similar situation to me, I had to buy it with the nato strap then buy the steel bracelet separately.
Colin West I would buy the bracelet but for the price no thanks I’m looking into the brand strap code that make the bracelet to spec for the Tudor 58 and with good reviews and good quality
I bought it on the bracelet and bought the blue soft touch leather strap for it from tudor. I actually prefer the soft touch to the bracelet
Interesting that ADs in Dubai dont have exhibition models of the Blue Bay because its against Tudors new strategy to enable exactly what you wish - to be able to see it in real life. Here in Germany most ADs have one piece available so people can check it out.
it is easy to open the clasp , just pull the side at the top end , after it open, then pull the bottom end
In Nov 2021 I bought the Black Bay 58 Navy Blue on a bracelet to compliment a range of predominantly black-dialled watches in my collection that include the classic Rolex Submariner Date 16610 that I've cherished for 19 yrs. The Tudor is a super, very well-made luxury timepiece and I appreciate its rather understated blue dial and aluminium bezel compared to the 'bling-blue' ceramic of my Omega Seamaster 300. Like-for-like think of the Blue 58 as a more modern take on its original black and gilt sibling. The blue really pops in daylight or in well-lit rooms and a pleasure to wear. Although not quite up there with the Rolex in the absolute quality stakes - but why should it when it's barely 40% of a steel Sub's retail price - go to an AD and try one on. An in-house COSC certified movement, 70 hrs power reserve, superb lume.... you won't be disappointed. Forget about the faux rivets - you cannot see them when wearing the watch and they are a cool idiosyncrasy.
I’ve been waiting 8 months now and finally got my hands on one. Just waiting now on shipment from the UK to Australia.
Love the blue as well, but I’ve gone for the original black version on metal.

I think you should get one of these. It is very strange that you can't get one in a place like Dubai. They seem to be available in the ADs even over here in Northern Ireland. I wouldn't let your personal experience with the AD put you off.
I've just placed an order for mine in the original colour bu for some reason the ad's only seem to have them available on the leather or fabric strap. I opted to wait for a bracelet version. I Can't wait , hopefully the wait time is not too long 🤞
I also won't buy a watch I haven't tried on. Have the black 58 and love it for daily wear - goes with anything and comfortable. The easier/better way to unlock the clasp is actually to lift the other end (like the pointy of the shield). Counter-intuitive but it works.

The dark blue is hot! I don't like the gilt dial on the black version.
It would be perfect if it had the same clasp as the Pelagos. Nevertheless, I have put my name on the wish list at an AD. The dimensions and the colour are just great.
Did you get your watch? I just put my name at an AD last week and they said it will take at least 6 months.
@@vunguyenchannel After six weeks I got a call from my AD asking if I would like a black BB 58 instead of a blue one. I asked for a day to think about it and then decided to pull the trigger.
@@bs5774 that is great! I hope you have a good time with your BB58. It is hard to believe but I just got a call from my AD today, he said that he has one Blue 58 in store but a customer give up his interest and because I live right next door (we are currently in lockdown where I live as well) so he asked if I want to come and pick up the watch. I came in a heartbeat and am over the moon right now.

Does the watch look like a dark blue? in a lot of photos it looks lighter.
put depends on the light. I would say it is right in between.

I know this is more of a retro look to the watch, but the Pelagos of the same color is far superior in every way and has the best clasp in the business.
Why do you say this?
K J the Pelados has a spring-loaded clasp that adjusts to the minute changes to the wrist. Also I believe the bezel is ceramic, and the watch is made of titanium. It is a serious and true diver’s watch.

It’s a lot thicker
It’s not the same colour the pelagos is royal blue the bay is much darker
Love the watch only i hate the crown that it looks like isn,t screwed in and the bracelet looks good only hate the fake rivets the rest looks really good best price compared to Qualty watch i know off keep up the work greetings from the netherlands
Tip: it is easier to grab the clasp buckle on both sides and pull open rather than using your finger and lifting via the hook

Great review as always. Would I buy it?, no. I went to my AD on July 1st to check it out, and tried it on, The two they had were already sold, but he's a great guy and let me check it out. They were still in those plastic cases Rolex sends the watches in. Hadn't even gotten the boxes yet, but ok, I'm rampling a bit. This watch should not be some unattainable thing in these ADs. I know I can get one in 2 or 3 weeks if I order one from them here where I am in the US. I'm not a huge fan of this. I neither love it or hate it. I do love my Black Bay 36, so it's not as if I have an anti-Tudor attitude and am thinking about the Heritage Chronograph from them. Always am ,looking forward to your videos Niko. Have you tied any of the Rolex faces on your Apple watch yet?
Hey Michael, thanks for you comment :)! No I haven't tried any Rolex watch faces. I usually use it with the activity rings as it is my sports device. :)!

I bought one new and wore it for a couples hours and the same negative issues as you. I sold it and will be buying another Rolex.

Entry level should not be dictated by rolex pricing.it is a true luxury watch for the working man

It is clever not to fully remove the sticker on the belt lock
Be careful with those plastic calipers...many of them use glass fiber enforced plastic and scratch up polished metal surfaces very easy...have one that looks exactly like the one you use.

not being able to have a look at it is due to the dealer, the more mature AD's keep 90% models in stock for customers to have a look at it, even if they are not for sale
that said, these orders are non-binding as far as I know, and that's how you can get into flipping but that's a different topic
