That is not a serious issue, he did not steal the food, he did not sit down during his shift to eat, so firing him was over the top. I hope the guy was able to find work quick after that bs firing. I worked at a bar for a month as a cook. The food wasn’t great and the pay sucked. It’s really not worth it. You’d get paid better doing yard work. At least that’s my personal experience working at a bar. I got paid $8.50 an hour, whereas doing yard work, I was making $10 at my lowest. Both jobs had poor pay, but bar and restaurant jobs almost aren’t worth it at all in terms of pay.
I do need to add, I worked at a bar for a month, five-ish years ago. I sympathize with the people who get fired because they don’t get paid enough to care
Majority of bartenders dont take criticism very well and thats definitely something that should never be allowed. Criticism is the most important thing to get bc at the end of the day, youre putting peoples life in your hands to have a good time
