It's actually statistically proven that direct, reasonable communication (unlike what we see in this show) is far more effective than the cartoon reality show circus we see here, but when there's no screaming in "reality" TV America tunes out. I've been a consultant in commercial kitchens, when a cook learns they could've killed someone, that sticks with them regardless of whether or not you find a way to cut them down in the middle of the consultation. Unlike this show, those lessons keep me from having to go back because many of Jon's bars either revert back or shut down, anyway. Jon tells a bartender not to treat his customers like children then does literally that to the staff every episode.

It won't happen. Jon and Gordon don't see each other eye to eye, they would argue with each other more than they would with owners or staff. Jon was in HK as a guest for only a few seconds, that's how petty it is, also Gordon is not the type of man who wants to share the spoils which is why you don't see him call experts.

Sean might know the money part of his job. But he doesn't know anything else. Taking four tables worth of orders at a time, then slamming the bar with 30 drinks - that's a Waiting Tables 101 mistake. I might make it once, because I've never waited tables. But I wouldn't make it twice, and if someone told me not to beforehand, I wouldn't make it that once.
Sean should know not to do that, because he's in the bar business. It isn't rocket science. Once someone points it out, it's obvious.

The bar I go to one of the bartenders over charges and uses the "extra" money for her tips and drink money. I refuse to have her serve me when she's there. No bartender should even be drinking while at work.
It's illegal to be drinking while serving in some states and no business owner should allow it regardless of the law. Its just bad business.

It’s too damn hard and too much work to be owning a bar or restaurant. SO many issues involved. The hardest part is working and having to deal with employees. People! 😵💫😬😫
Most issues are from lazy owners themselves or them being too kind and never being able to fire people that are sucking the business dry.
It is hard. When you see yourself in their shoes and get memories about how hard the road was. But they forget to realize that unfortunately there are very few diamonds in the rough. You need to find the gems.

Bro… mopeds are super dangerous. It’s not the moped itself but other cars. I say this as someone who saw a moped accident scene. I was walking on the sidewalk, saw a guy on a moped and then 2 minutes later I heard an awful crash and down the block it was just… awful. It was a quiet city street. Maybe a helmet could have helped, maybe not but those things scare me more than motorcycles because of their speed limitations, there’s a reason they’re not allowed on highways.

I'm a bartender in a small town bar and this show really makes me appreciate the tight ship we run with our little team. The kitchen is immaculately clean, there are no fights from customers or staff, everyone is super respectful.
