Jon has spoken a few times about his first marriage and divorce, it sounded like a really sad painful situation with his daughter caught in the middle of it. Good for him for showing Michelle and Kevin the road NOT to go down as married business owners!
Their business ended up closing in November 2013 (two months after the episode originally aired). I wonder if they're still married now.
Yea johns wife was really pretty too. It rips people apart mentally. At the end of the day you probably don’t even want to be next to each other
That was one of the most wholesome things I've seen on bar rescue. Good in him for sucking up his pride for his marriage I hope they're still together
@@mr.futurestrader2115his wife now is pretty too
@@kdizzle901with a sweet rack
The second guy admitted what he did and stepped up. Good for him 🤘🏻
11:05 man. That takes some guts, and props to this dude for realizing what’s most important.
I wanna say that the recon girls who only has $5 were absolutely amazing. They understood their assignment 100% and in normal circumstances it would be immoral but these girls did what they had to do.
"Look at me. Right here." She was great
that just means they do it during their personal time out.
@@gambinolansky How are they using you if you chose to buy the drink? They don't owe you anything for it, it's just a drink.
@@gambinolanskyI wouldn't even buy a girl a meal these days
@@HurdleHelpssays more about you tbh😅
"This is B*!!sh*t...!!!"
- Literally every single dysfunctional owner...
"It's not my fault".
Also literally every single dysfunctional owner...
You've nwver seenbthw episode. Those two bumble fucks fucked Jerry. Dude got burnt out. He's was pisses because they set him up that night as the fall guy. He was their constantly opening up than going to close. While they were never there, they didn't know shit to dick the next day. He made those choices because they were never around and didn't pull their weight. They couldn't run shit. The next day John kinda figures it out(but the editing kinda glosses over this). His remarks about them aren't far enough from the truth.
O'Bannon's was a personal favorite hostile takeover. That's, in my opinion, the best one, even Dirty Rooster
Those dirty dishes in the sink 😂😂 the cameras miss nothing
filming his bedroom 😭😭
Now that's embarrassing.
Sad. Lol
God I love Jon. Unapologetically savage
I can only imagine how savage him teaming up with Chef Gordon Ramsey would be.
Likely would leave people in tears.
3:49 I know this is serious but that poor guy that dropped his phone in the background lmao
It's like a jaw drop.
Whoever does the editing on this show deserves an Emmy
I like to imagine that last guy watching this when he's sober and realizing how much of a jackass he made out of himself on national TV.
At least he's having a good time
@@Dr.Acula76Stupid people always choose fun over making a living... 🤡
That’s being nice. Total creep
He had what was in my opinion one of the best turnarounds on the show though
4:23 I know I shouldn’t be laughing at this moment but for some reason I find this hilarious.
Dirty Rooster: Rob binge drinking every bottle & doing wild stunts 2:17, 3:04 & 3:08. Marelys on the Beach: Big Shot Kevin 8:06 sitting at the office while business is booming & 10:40 Big Taffer telling bout his first marriage 😢😮. At O’ Banions: Dave & Steve relieving Jerry of his management duties cause of him drinking 13:20.
I miss full episodes of Bar Rescue, Jon is such an amazing guy!
Fr he is a true business owener who knows how to get shit done
"No excuses, only solutions". What a legend!@@angelrios3894
4:17 kills me every time 😂
The other guy should’ve called the police. He threatened physical bodily harm.
That last guy was a colossal manbaby.
C'mon, he's just having a good time
Oddly enough, he's one of the success stories of bar rescue
He was a walking Jim Breuer character.
Did anybody else see that guy recording drop his phone when they said they were leaving?😂😂 its like the realization of the situation slapped the shit outta his ass😂😂
I still can't get over the owner Jerry selling all the cooking equipment without the approval of his partners So the Bar and Grill without a Grill How lazy 😏
He did it so the rent could be paid. The foolishness of that decision is staggering.
These clips really put the hostile in "hostile takeover".
I love how that guys only defense was “cmon man I’m having a good time” lmfaoooo
It’s honestly all for show. Jerry is a stand-up dude by the next 5 minutes in that episode, while his partners are complete dumbasses who have no idea what they’re doing. It was very clear why Jerry was drunk, dude is stuck with idiot partners and just drowning the ship because no matter what he does, his partners were anchoring him to their incompetence.
The third guy in the episode stepped up & proved himself
Rob in the first clip should've been a walkout for John to be honest. He should have just let the bastard fail
Agreed; cuz in a BTTB episode, the followed up on him & only proved to be a bigger drunken fool more than he was in the beginning (his partners deserted him, he changed the food menu back & lost even more money).
Sometimes failure is the only way people learn anything in life; and even then, they still don’t learn anything from it.
@@Thespian821oh I saw that. The disrespectful bastard deserves all the misery in the world at this point
11:28 - 16:47 ah yes, my favorite Bar Rescue drinking game. Take a shot every time he yells, laughs, curses, drinks, or says "great time."
If you did that, you'd be more drunk than him. You'd also probably die of alcohol poisoning.
I feel like far too many owners need to do hostile takeovers more so because of how awful customer services have become everywhere.
Make them with your wallet. Stop going places where they treat you like dirt
On s7 The SandBar Mike did sore of similar to Shawn.
You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.
If you pay shit, workers won’t care, it’s that simple. Places just don’t pay well anymore.
Yeeees learning all sorts of new words today. 'fiduciary responsibility'
Thank you Jon Taffer for being a great bar consultant since 2011, for new words. 😀
Still waiting to see a collab with Gordon Ramsay and John Taffer
The episode live up to its name
Aren't we all? Been wanting it for years! Doubt it'll happen because of network contracts and whatnot
The closest thing we've gotten so far was when Taffer was a dining guest on Hell's Kitchen a year or so ago.
Oh wow, I Didn't even know that lol. Im gonna have to watch it now haha@@doublerdub1
FUCK YEAH !!!!!!!!
Hahah the guy that almost dropped his phone @3:52
I hate drunk owners. Thank God Dirty rooster was shut down rob dersevers that.
😯
What happened to them?
Dude at 9:54 made the face my dog does if i catch him eating something he shouldn’t
The way Jon said Fiduciary hurt my soul
NEVER would I put my house or any other personal property on the line to open any business.
First guy did what my dad does BUT in a much much different way. Sits above the bar on a balcony and greets majority of people who walk in, he usually drinks 3-4 beers while up there. Also if the bar is doing good and people are buying pizzas. He goes down and gives everyone a shot, our bar can hold about 30 people but usually has about 10
Sounds like your dad was a sensible and responsible bar owner.
If your wife is saying she doesn't like being in the same room with you, it's more that's going on!!!
Phrase of the day " having a great time " 😂😂
Respect to Scott he holds in all his emotions in order to stay professional.
Bar owners or terrible managers workers.....WE GONNA PARTYYYYYYY....Jon walks in....Suprised Pikachu face 👀👀
Rob had me laughing so hard
10:34 dam finding out that about Jon just dam
Jerry is like Jim Breuer's obnoxious older brother
I wonder if he can sing metal
I feel like when John Taffer talked to the owners of Marley's that was the most down to earth and real we got to see of him. He didn’t want their relationship to fall due to a business partnership like his first marriage did. That’s a really respectable thing he did there
When John gets a yelling you're not going to win a yelling match with him
what kind of dance was that 🤣
The idiotic dance that Bill just did. Pathetic with his excuses to say before getting fired. 🤣🤣🤣
If I remember right with Jason, the next day he did work his ass off the other two didn’t know or couldn’t do shit, so they claimed theg were failing because of him…but thier inaction also allowed them to fail
The owners are finally taking back control from their partners
Two of them we’re getting 60%
Kevin did the right thing. Not a lot of us would be able. Big man things.
Favorite hostile takeover: O'Banion's
A new UA-cam video from Bar Rescue? That’s good. 😀
I like how the guy acts like he regretfully will stay home.
If I don't have my food in 30 min I'm GONE!
"(Rob blathering)" that subtitle took me out
Also shout out to whoever decided to put the closed captions instead of the auto-generated crap
"what a duesch" is the best comment of this whole video
Great episode.
im watching bar resues right now all 5 seasons I wish i could get the DVDs of them all i only got 7 lol
And Rob lives upstairs (couple clothes in the bedroom floor three dishes in the sink ) dramatic zoom in!!!!
HaViNg A gReAt TiMe!
Jon: His house is on the line! This isn’t about your “good time”!
The two experts in the first clip look like someone came along and split Joe Rogan into two separate people
Jerry The King Lawler is drunk af.
I wanna see a collab of Jon Taffer and Gordon Ramsey
"I'm gonna come back and rob the place"
I know he's drunk, but he literally just openly admitted to wanting to commit a crime on live TV. But hey, at least we have evidence if he actually went through with it.
I cant find a difference between this and college in the 80s...lol
Lol right
Those magical words make you go broke in bat business free shots
I wonder if there can be a Jon Taffer for the medical field. You have no idea how many shitty ALERT patients with their moms and baby mommas got to be dealt with (especially in my work).
That would be wonderful, to have someone like that
Idk if we could get someone like that for the medical field, also you cant just destroy it throw things in hospitals in a fit of rage (Jon Taffer being known to throw things and break shit when pissed off) bc of the needles and glass, not to mention how careful you'd have to be around injured patients, etc etc etc
Did anyone else clock at 5:18 when Jon pronounced "Fiduciary" wrong? He says "fudiciary"
That guy in the beginning, making an ass out of himself, and getting drunk shows how incredibly stupid and irresponsible he was not to mention he attacks and assaulted one of his partners.
Disappointed, disappointed disappointed that is the only word I have for that situation he has disgraced himself and his bar as well.
Real managers and owners do not lay on the bar table and pour beer all over their fat fucking belly or hang from the ceiling, like a monkey they act professional with kindness and respect.
I may be no expert like Jon Taffer, but that’s how I see how things like that are supposed to be in life.
epic lols that dude was literally crawling up the walls
I have witnessed one hostile takeover in a place I cooked in. That shit WAS ugly.
There was 1 time when there was an attempt for a hostile takeover.
Jhon is the real g
Give all the pretty girls free drinks 😂
Rob pulled a Euphoria Rue. Got an investor then used all the drugs
"They live on the lake" no, their parents live on the lake. These people have no property of yheir oen, so they're still living with mom and dad.
The sad part is that all of these businesses closed. Silent Partners for absolutely nothing.
The risk you’re taking when you invest your money without any control of the business. If you want your investment back you need to be able to control the business otherwise you can’t be surprised if you lose the investment. The buck has to stop with someone
If a business needs to bring you in as a silent partner to begin with that’s a pretty noticeable red flag that it’s a bad idea to invest in it. If the business was booming the owners wouldn’t need to give someone equity for money into the business because whatever plans they have could be done through their retained earnings or a loan based off of the business performance. If they can’t accomplish that after the business has been operating for some period of time then that’s a sign that the business isn’t doing well and you’re taking a big risk to invest. And maybe the business has potential to be attractive to invest in but if it’s that stage you shouldn’t do it without control otherwise you’re just flushing the money
AWESOME 😎👍💯
Jon Rafferty is a good man
What a flop that drunk manager at the end was
Don’t lie I know some of yalls sinks are significantly worse than Robs at 1:23
Jerry ended up getting the “last laugh” when he came back the next day as a reasonable partner for stress test. He certainly held his own in BOH cooking while Dave and Steve struggled in FOH with the orders. Needless to say that Jerry proved Jon Taffer wrong and he got his keys back.
praying for an ep with gordon ramsey 🙏🏼
I can't see Rob being the hospitality industry. He is more like an physical/precision worker. The people I know in hospitality have more finesse and sensate mind. I know one guy who was a great guy. You could think he was your friend and then the next moment he would fire you.
You can tell that wife and husband is on track for divorce if his wife is demanding he be silent partner.
She did that so when they divorce, she can prove that she’s the only one who’s ever done anything to help that bar
She’s hot i wonder if she’s single now
First! GoRDen RaMseY TeAm uP!!!! (Just had to say it before all the other idiots.)
Never buy a drink for a woman unless she’s at least given you a handy.
Woah boy this could get ugly
Especially this 4:24
These Owners can't stay sobering Up in few days if they can't Stay sober all day jon taffer are gonna say that All their bars will Shutdown for good
Bro but Jon isn’t a fucking Therapist. That’s not his job. These people have deeper issues than the business.
Felt bad for the husband he was drained and she literally said to go home and she'll do it and shamed him while doing it and it felt like Jon literally forced it this way because of all the edits between the scenes which might have had to happened but still felt bad
Love thelady laughing her ass off
that couple "This is the most we ever talked about anything" wtf why are you married, who are you married to cause if that statement is true you both have no clue who the other one is, crazy
I just subscribed to paramount+ only to find out they don’t stream a single episode of bar rescue 😢
You guys is gonna get kicked out the bar by John Taffer and his experts and his crew and Gordon Ramsey on bar rescue and kitchen nightmares.
13:37 takes a fake shot...seems more like acting drunk than really drunk?
No, he was bombed. He was pretending the ping pong ball was a shot.
@@Nyrfan30 Good eye. Could've sworn it was an empty shooter
Man: doesn’t put the effort in, let’s wife takes over and do the majority of the work
Wife: ok since this is the case, you should be silent partner and allow me to live the dream you literally gave up
Man: no I needs control even tho I don’t earn it c:
the reality about reality t.v. is that it's not real
It's not good to make partenariat in the important affair
why it is immoral to those girls to keep getting free drinks?
Giving woman anything free not good
Don't U all just love this bar room drama. So, how much of this show is made up? 90%, 95%, 100%. Look at some of the bar owners faces when Jon looses it. Funny as hell.
The host needs to smoke some dope .He has angry issues.
Dude doing all the shots is a weat mf lol 😂😂
Then he tries to be the boss get him out of here!!!!!!!
😅
😅 1:42 0😊
What they’re doing is not a hostile takeover btw. A hostile takeover involves company acquiring another company
