the crowd chanting "Asshole! Asshole! Asshole!" at the owner followed by Jon smashing a bottle on the floor and nearly inciting the place into a riot is probably my favorite all-time Bar Rescue moment
I half expected people to start swarming the owner
I laughed when I saw the name pop up, it's a local bar. They rebranded twice and are actually successful right now. Nice outdoor area.
Reminded me of wrestling matches lol.
And then for Mike to shrug it off and say: "I'm sure I've had 'em before."
Like, the 1st time it's fine. But the more you do it, the more you run the risk of getting sick from those bugs in your drinks. To be frank, I half-expected Mike to drop dead on the floor after taking that shot. Or at the very least being rushed to the E.R.
I would definitely get behind a riot started by Taffer
“I can’t do everything” jon “YOU JUST TOLD ME YOU DID EVERYTHING”😂😂
what a jerk
You see that a lot, they'll go back on their word after Taffer calls them out.
@@ckendall67 John Taffer said right in front of his experts and his crew and Gordon Ramsay. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What I want to know is, how do restaurants get away with roaches, mice, mosquitoes, and even raccoon poop? Where’s the Health Department in all this?! 🤢
Enjoying the bribes, thank you very much.
not enough inspectors per city/region in America, and the ones that are there are usually susceptible to bribes
@@thewheatness from what stories i read its the same with a lot of goverment offices in america
not enough people to work, the ones that are working have massive case loads and unfortunately some will cut corners, either out laziness or greed
@@mrroboshadow you hit the nail on the head
Health Department is just an urban legend, shhhhhhh.
"CLOSE THE DOOOOR" is giving the same energy as, "FLIP THE BURGER ROBERTO!!"
I bet Jon Taffer takes off out of that SUV like the Ultimate Warrior every time there's a health violation 😂😂😂
He always takes off in a crazy rush and then just casually strolls taking his time until he reaches the restaurant. Lol
And if he sees raw chicken, it's a full on sprint to the kitchen 😂
Facts lol He always does that
@@PhillyLittleshis face looking like pepe the frog every time he enters
If Gordon Ramsey saw some of the kitchens in this video, he will be angry on a whole different level
Gordon would have lost his mind
There would be bodies if Gordon ever saw something like this

@@kmpartist Including his, he'd probably have cardiac arrest...
The guy who said “that’s bullshit” with the bugs on the cloth. Reminds me of when someone accused Gordon of planting a mice, like why would they have to plant shit when the places are nasty anyway
He's the opposite of Steve. Steve dismissed the bugs in Headhunters as "there's bugs all over America"; the other guy said how the bugs were planted.
Producers do shit like that for reality TV every day. Reality TV is fake and a scam. Bar rescue doesn't even touch the bathrooms.
The crazy thing about the one with the huge ant problem is that those are breeding males and females that have the wings, so not only are the ants there, but they're thriving so much that they're producing breeders! Absolutely horrendous
But he didn't see them! 😂
Ant colonies have to be thriving the produce reproductives, because they take so much energy and don’t do anything but breed to start new colonies. Those ants had to be paying rent!
@@Free_Flowing_Anxiety Exactly, thank you for explaining it a lot better than I could
The only ant in a colony that breeds, produces eggs is the active queen. She is moved into a colony by worker ants fairly early into a new colony. The ants with the wings are scout/soldier ants that hatch and grow them. They fly to a new location and drop their wings off after a few days or less.
@@travondascarr6206 the winged ants are reproductives, usually after a heavy rain they swarm and mate. The males die soon after and the females go on the start new colonies. The queen comes first then the colony. To learn more Ants Canada has done a lot of good videos on it.
i swear the moment Jon walks in im spitting my drink out
“The Shit-cicle!!!”
Jon Taffer got so mad his inner Jim Lahey came out.
they took "dirty martini" too literally
💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
I meen it is called a dirty martini
The whole "You frickin knew it! You knew it and you served it anyway!" scene can be applied to any video game that has been released in an unfinished state and the developers and publishers KNEW about it but released the game anyway.
And we paid full price and got 1/5th incomplete product.
@@mkefayati473 And one way to get the rest of the product is micro transactions.
Except it’s worse because almost every major release is like this. 70 dollars dollars to play a buggy mess until the developers decide to patch it.
@@metalcoremichael1024 my thoughts exactly.
We are comparing people potentially getting sick to Video games are kidding me they don't have diseases If you think they I won't argue with that but still don't get defensive I'm just saying.
It's one thing not to care about your job because you're severely underpaid or your boss is an asshole but being complacent in giving innocent customers food and drink infested with black mold and fruit flies and mishandling food to the point of intense contamination is absolutely unacceptable
Sure I guess, it's ultimately on management for not organizing a system and scheduling them with cleaning hours. The best restaurants my wife has worked at will shut down once a month for a deep cleaning day.
The employees are being paid under minimum wage, most of their pay comes from tips. They are handed a shit covered, disgusting bar and incentivized to work on customer service with nobody directing them to clean, providing cleaning tools, or holding them accountable. Moreover, the owner clearly doesn't care about cleaning.
Contrary to what a lot of these clowns say you do have to tell employees to clean and hold them to it. Employees are there to do their job, if you don't make cleaning part of that job they aren't going to do it out of the goodness of their hearts.
@@poodypooroo10000% people get paid to do what they’re told. If you don’t tell them to do anything, guess what happens?
9:08 the random costumer talking about the martini lives rent free in my head😭
they're so funny😭😭😭 it cracked me up
A video of health hazards from every season from this show would be really awesome
shoot, ill make it myself if i have to. i love these!
That video would be so long.
Isn’t that every episode?
Need to be a live. You can't upload something that long...
@@JhonnyB694 Yes you can, they can upload a 10 hour marathon if they wanted to, I've seen multiple shows doing that. Just do a little research before speaking
Roaches? Mice? A little raccoon? Some cat piss? Flies? This outta be good
I’m still baffled at how they kept their businesses running for even a year 😭
Taffer’s team: “there’s black mold in the drink dispenser”
Bar Patrons: *Cheering*
I live in Arizona, so I know about all the kinds of diseases and stuff that mosquitoes can carry. My big question is, why didn’t somebody get the health department involved in this before Jon Taffer came around? No wonder he gets so pissed off when he has to work on these places. If I was John, most of those owners would be out of a job. There’s no excuse for that kind of uncleanliness in any kind of establishment.
The County Health Inspectors in Arizona would definitely shut it down if they saw Fruit flies, Mold, unclean kitchens for years, or worse...RATS!!!!
It always shocks me how disgusting people will allow things to get. I've been in the industry for a while now and more than once I've had to get MGMT to just come look at something and explain to them the possible deaths it might cause, more often than not though, only when I mention the lawsuits do they take action..
no one should die due to poorly prepared food. that's awful
@@flowersandambience It's not just food. The struggle it was at my job when I started to just get the guys to stop dumping the ice scoop back into the ice.. they just couldn't understand that something their hands touch should not be touching something that goes in people's drinks. And the ice machine I don't think had ever been cleaned before I started there...
Also tough dough from lickety split

Crazy part is. They expect Jon to write a check to save the business. But they can barely clean, hold staff, or even actually do half the job required. They purposely failed for a show spot. To many not even attempting. Health departments that allowed this need to be held responsible too. Failing their communities and laughing at the risks they cause
At 5:06 Chef's face at that guy leaving the fridge door hang open 😂😅😂
I don’t understand how people can still stay in the building after they see the filth 🤦🏾♀️
I worked in a few very rough and tumble bars BUT in every single one, the kitchens and mix stations were immaculate. You would never have a single dirty glass sitting out, the owners were so careful about cleanliness.
Bro planted the fruit flies 😂
With little traps lollll
Brown raw hamburger, risen cold dough, moldy ribs, fruit flies in mixers, warm raw chicken, etc. These are common health hazards!!!
It always irritates me when their attitudes towards hygiene is so lackadaisical. Jon is yelling at them about how someone could DIE and some can still laugh. Like what does it take to make them realise they could harm someone irreversibly due to their irresponsibility? When they get threatened with a lawsuit, is that it?
The attitude of the bar owner about the flies was disgusting.
They're lazy and don't want to work hard
Ya know, I noticed something. Every. Single. Time. Jon gets out of the car, he grabs the wheel, looking like he about to pull a donut. And it cracks me up every time
Channel: posts 20-minute long video showcasing the grossest health hazards
Me: chooses this video to watch while eating
Videos like this make me glad for not drinking alcohol anymore.
Never started, bar life seems gross
I've got a bar in my city that I go to thats actually pretty clean and fun to be at. However, ive got like 40 bottles in my own collection for mixing drinks when I dont want to pay for them
Well you could just go get a twelve pack…
@@mythbussanut2548 I'm at risk of high blood pressure and glaucoma. Alcohol is going to aggravate that risk.
Plot Twist: this video was made for people to quit drinking
You want to know what is scary. If the chicken didnt give you food poisoning then the drinks could very well have. Drinks are one of the biggest reasons for food poisoning
If the drugging and/or roofies in your drink don't get you, the food and liqour itself will first at that place.
Gross is an understatement. I love to watch this show but sometimes it's really hard seeing this nasty stuff. It puts me on the verge of gagging.
If there’s fruit flies in the drinks that means they’re in the liquor bottles. Which tells me they’re not keeping the open bottles closed properly . That’s a problem
I don’t think these owners and employees understand just how illegal all this is. If someone gets sick, they are 100% liable.
I get trying to save money by using unused products. However, they must be labeled as to the contents and the date of when it was first opened and/or prepared.
Improper food handling and/or storage, causes 48 million cases of food born illness each year in the US. 128 thousand people are hospitalized with food born illnesses each year. 3 thousand people die from it each year.
Just because a customer never says anything, doesn’t mean they didn’t get sick.
This filth and illegal food handling/storage practices are seriously illegal. I’ve been part of the 48 million cases a year. It’s not fun.
The smiles on some of these owners faces, pisses me off.
i will always find these clips hilarious even though ive seen it plenty of times before
i Thinkj it is Very Hilarious when Mr Taffer Yells !
16:12 I love how shes supposed to be a very stern lady but she just had to laughed at Jon
19:50 "I need a runner!"
Funniest part is that's when the camera showed the rats scurrying about. LOL
When i dont have the motivation to clean my room or my kitchen, I watch this or Hoarders, and i immediately fiind myself with a gallon of bleach washing the counters
Whatever helps you get the job done, right?
“This is foul, it’s bad, it’s disgusting, and you don’t even know it!” Sounds like me on my third dates.
I feel like health inspections should probably happen more often
That's one good reason why I don't eat out. Disgusting.
I've seen gross food before but when watching bar rescue I've never EVER hurled when seeing the conditions of these bars. I'd be just as furious as Jon is if I had to experience seeing how vile these conditions are
19:51 "RATS!"
Mouse: :(
both inexcusable but homie them's mice
As someone who usually deeply cares about these little issues, it doesn't really make much difference what it is. It's a fast-breeding, disease-spreading rodent in a bar.
Waiting for Jon to suplex a bar owner one of these days
Oh my god! Are you kidding me? I am glad I am not in bars and drink. I will be so grossed out.
12:29 this would not pass a health inspection. how did this happen? i work as a server at longhorn steakhouse and the most i may see is one cockroach a week on the floor in the kitchen. how can you work comfortably near ants, mosquitos and fruit flies? i can't even stand being in the same room as a living/dead bug.
You admitted to a cockroach infestation. When there's one, there's actually over 10 or 20 hidden in other places. So you already had exposure to diseases.
Bro give us updates how is it there
This is extremely disgusting how in the hell do places like this get away with all of that? Where's the Health department at? 🤢🤮
*jon pulls out a map*
There’s Chyna, there’s Jordan.
😂😂😂
I always second guess eating at bars after watching this show
Lol same
I will only eat at the bar I have invested in. That place has been open since 2016, and I've been an investor since 2020. I'm friends with the owner, and I know how clean that bar is kept. No fruit flies in their liquor, and draft beer is so cold you get brain freeze. (Jan Griffiths).
"There's only a couple in there."
No, there are a couple in there that shouldn't be. People come to a bar to enjoy a drink without bugs in it. Disgraceful
"RATS!!!!" = field mice. Still need to get the exterminator in there though. Must be hell to keep a beach bar in Florida vermin-free.
And when jon came in here 😂😂
What I don't get is that there are so many restaurant cleaning companies out there, and yet these restaurants are so nasty!
Okay, so I just checked and you can get a bottle pourer that has like a mesh screen on it to prevent bugs from getting in. I don't see why a bar wouldn't just buy those.
I love how they leap out of the car as if they are scrambling for a battle but then walk at a leisurely pace into the bar.
Jon is right thats why millions of bars in america are losing business not making enough but also turning a blind to stuff like this!??? horrible and he analyzes it alot hes a business advocate he even shows the employees through a diagram called partender showing them how bad it is🤦
All of these employees of the bars KNOW they have bugs in everything but pretend to be shocked. I worked 10 years in bar/restaurants.
Must empower the lowest level employees as much as management is empowered
Shows that many people shouldn’t go into business owning a bar or restaurant
6:09. This is funny af
Gordon Ramsay would be absolutely angry and disgusted by the food temperatures and how they're not cooked properly. I mean, imagine Jon bringing him in, the owner's wouldn't wanna deal with the crap. It's absolutely disgusting how there are BUGS in drinks, and wine, and people just don't care about the health properties around here, AND they're customer's health.
fruit flies are attracted to alcohol and the bottles probably don’t last long enough for the inspectors to see- the other stuff i have no clue
When are these bar/restaurant owners gonna stop saying I didn't see the mess.
I don’t gag very often, one of my superpowers is eating questionable food without getting sick, (don’t eat questionable food often no matter who you are) but the Mosquitoes in the pipes- made me gag, my dad has been a plumber for years and I don’t know what high hell had to happen for Mosquitoes to be able to THRIVE, absolutely mortifying, my dad has an intense hate for flies because of all the fly infestations he’s seen but mosquitoes would send him FLYING into a fury he would leave the cite for a cigarette break especially since this is in a place that sells FOOD FFS!!!!
I spoke too soon, ants with wings also made me gag I have a personal problem with ants in the buildings please just stay outside.
These videos have helped reinforce my non drinking and non bar going habits. I would throw up.
I'm 40 years of age and never been a bar person. Drinker - yes! But always with friends in houses. And watching these episodes...nope nope nope!
Artful Dodger having bugs all over plus the drains 3:09 also owner not doing anything bout it. At Lickety Split 7:54 dough that was dried out in witch yeasts becomes more active 8:20.
Bug in the bottles is probably one of the most common issues that bars are having to combat. Due to the fact, that are attracted to the sugars and even the alcohol itself in the liquor. It the same reason why, when you sit out on your back poach or patio at night during the high of summer, with a glass of whiskey. Sometimes you will get a gnat or two fly into your glass.
How does jon not have a at least 3 heart attacks a year?
Those rats at the end are actually mice but that’s neither here or there. The fact that they weren’t skittish or running away means that they’re pretty comfortable being there.
That dough is made every single day, left out, dried up, and served 7 days later. Disgusting
I am literally very shocked, disgusted, and angry at the same time at these restaurants who get away with all these health hazard ☣️☣️☣️‼️‼️
As much as I love hole in the wall types of bars, seeing stuff like this creeps me out.
I so love it when they say "this is DISGUSTING".
4:44 got me laughing 😂
Mice aren't rats. Still unacceptable but those aren't rats.
There should be a compilation of Jon getting out of the car.
That Vermouth bottle is a fucking nightmare. Imagine drinking that
Steve from Headhunters KNEW about all the bugs and just how disgusting his bar was, but he didn’t give a shit.
This bar owners don’t understand it’s not the employees. that need to care about your business. It’s you need to care about your business and they don’t.
If Jon had the ability to SHUT DOWN buildings for REAL, these owners would tighten up QUICK.
The bar with the huge roach provides, I'm surprised that roach infested health trap wasn't condemned
Makes you glad when you don't go out to eat and you can always go to store to buy eioh
Can you do a count down called most outrageous financial situations???
Worst crime of the first guy is not shaving that head 😂
I can just imagine their houses. I want to throw up.
those are mice at the end, not rats -- unless the footage shown doesnt match what was actually seen
A lot of people mix up rats and mice since there are stereotypically more wild rats than mice invasions for large places.
Could be baby rats? Lol
I didn't know Vin Diesel is on Bar Rescue.
That's his brother Vic Vegas..😂
I just threw up in my mouth after that first scene🤢
This makes me not want to eat out anymore 😭
the mosquitoes are the worse part when he described how much they can carry.. made my stomach sick
I had an insect infestation in my cupboard, we call them food moths. They were hard to get rid of. Once I was baking and I added raisins and I saw they were in there too, but I wasn't going to throw my whole dough out so I just ate them. It's not deadly but if a bar or restaurant served me something with insects, I would not accept that.
Look on the bright side, they added extra protein to your dish as well
To keep bugs out of flour, store it in the fridge. I learned that from my grandma. Never seen one bug in my flour ever. (Jan Griffiths).
🤢🤢🤢🤮
My brother and mother have worked in the bar industry for years. They won't even buy a drink at an unfamiliar bar unless the bartender lets them shine a light into the bottom of one of their bottles.
That first bar was disgusting, yet it was packed.
I swear John sounds like Gilbert Godfrey and Alec Baldwin combined and it kills me.
im confused. if jon brings the people to the bar. they know the place is going to be fucking trash. but he basically sends them in to knowingly drink bugs and shit. what. that cant be legal or something right
As real as it gets, it's a show. Every show has legal limits and then those limits can be expanded...staging the event.
I don’t even know how these people get in business at all, common sense should tell you not to do half the stuff these people do
“Where’s the rest of your dough?”
“It’s in the dungeon…”
Thank God for John Taffer
People yelling usually turns me off but Jon is genuinely passionate about his time and the people he takes care of time and it comes out in the best way. A rare example these days of tough love done right.
