I didn't donate because my stupid government who bled this country dry already sent millions without our consent, when were are already broke and struggling and becoming a 3rd world country ourselves. My country (Canada) talked NOTHING but trash about Ukraine and it's "not see" problem in our news papers until about 5 years ago, now all of a sudden they aren't the most corrupt country in Europe anymore and they are our strong allies? On their discord, they've been spreading pro-Russian and anti-Ukraine propaganda, being supportive of the invasion, banning people for any signs of them being pro-Ukraine or being Ukrainian, on top of that banning people for having stuff like LGBT flags or pronouns in their discord bio's for "spreading LGBT propaganda". So Cheeki Breeki pulled an UNO reverse card of the century on them by using their mod to raise money for Ukraine.

Politics aside, one of their biggest issues is that they are outright stealing mods from dedicated and hard working GAMMA modders. The modders have specifically stated that they require permission and credits. This was not asked for or given by the people at Custom. Not only that, GAMMA uses a launcher based installer that manually downloads each mod as it installs, adding to your download count on Moddb. Custom uses a .exe installer where all the mods are pre-downloaded, so it won't add to any counts. Not only did they not ask for permission or given credits, they are taking donations for "their work". Only a tiny amount of their 355 mods are credited. Less than 20. And they had the gull to ask everyone in their Discord to mass report a guy on a Russian site using their mod and taking donations for it. They want you to report someone for what they have been doing all this time. It's disgusting and it's even chasing some modders away because it just gets stolen and marked as their work when it isn't. Making money off of someone else's work is disgusting. They even banned a GAMMA modder after he accused them for what they are politically, and the ban messaged stated that he was like that, not them. I was there when someone asked for their mod to be removed. I won't mention how that person was treated, but it was horrible to witness. I left that Discord and deleted their pack from my PC. The politics just adds fuel to the fire.
Can confirm, they embedded at least two of my mods (New Extensible RF Sources, and the Barrier Defense Task fix), and I'm pretty sure there wasn't a peep about it. The really funny thing is that they *screwed up the install*. Because the version of NERFS that they included is literally over a year old (v1.2, released 7/2023), but they also "included" Devices of Anomaly Redone by Barry Bogs, which itself includes a custom copy of NERFS **v1.5**. So at best the stand-alone embed of NERFS 1.2 in the load order is doing nothing. At worst it may cause something RF-related to malfunction in unexpected ways. I would disable it, or better yet download the latest version, which should be loaded after DAR. Also holy shit, what they've done to the MCM menus alone is an offense against nature. What a fustercluck this is.

In his case its still an apology for accidentally promoting their discord, (he didn’t need to apologize imo) just a more effective one. I am someone who is personally not affected by bad people designing great things thankfully, which is why I can enjoy things such as Rurouni Kenshin and in this case, this modpack. This modpack is phenomenal, and it is unfortunate the creators are not the nicest people (and I am being nice here) but I truly hope this doesn't become something like when they made that Five Nights At Freddy's remake that was excellent, but shadowed because of a controversy with the creator. Good seeing you shed some light into this and I really hope people enjoy this modpack for what it is, not for the people who made it.

The problem with gamma progression is that you are only weak at the begging, once you get a working ak you are done, you can kill everything (and near the end of the first main story line you will be literally unkillable, and you still have 2 more story lines to do with 0 progression)
Damn I was getting exited about this pack as a new fan of gamma and loved how it looked, being new I dont know really what other modpacks are worth playing, anyone have suggestions?
Looking past the drama, the modpack is fun and really makes Anomaly look great. As a noob who just wanted a nice looking modpack it does the job and ill be keeping it but thats about it. Gonna keep away from that discord server and such not that I could understand anything. Only thing i wish i could change is change the title screen back to just Anomaly instead of Anomaly Custom as they branded the modpack.

This is amazing, well done. I could not care less about their discord drama, I'm loving the modpack
I am someone who is personally not affected by bad people designing great things thankfully, which is why I can enjoy things such as Rurouni Kenshin and in this case, this modpack. This modpack is phenomenal, and it is unfortunate the creators are not the nicest people (and I am being nice here) but I truly hope this doesn't become something like when they made that Five Nights At Freddy's remake that was excellent, but shadowed because of a controversy with the creator. Good seeing you shed some light into this and I really hope people enjoy this modpack for what it is, not for the people who made it.

I was born and raised at the East of Ukraine and I also carried this myth about "brother nations" as a kid, but never actually understood why we are, considering we understand the and are into their culture, when it is absolutely not vice versa and they actually consider us a "bad sort of russians"
This is a war they started in 2014, a war during which they cause humanitarian and economical crisis in my country. A hybrid war where they attack EVERY aspect of my country trying to erase my nation and enslave the rest who are less resilient. There is no place for peace in mind, only hate despite whatever, considering how much pain they cause in last 10 years and how much more in last 100. It's a war of attrition.
Fact is: if we will stop fighting - there will be no Ukraine any more as an independent state. Even if that will be a peace treaty where we give up some territory - russians won't stop at any cost, they will consider it success, regroup and go further on West with more allias who are ready to risk and overtake Europe

I think the way you are doing this with a fundraiser and ignoring the drama is a great way to support a great cause and just play a game for what it is just a game. I would love to support you with a donation but i already send a little every month out of my pension as it is.
One thing to consider is if they are from russia they CANNOT openly support ukraine at ALL otherwise it can end up with jailtime or worse.

You weren't joking about this list being difficult. I thought GAMMA was tough! Started at rookie village and Im getting smoked by bandits and mercs all over the place 😂
The problem with gamma progression is that you are only weak at the begging, once you get a working ak you are done, you can kill everything (and near the end of the first main story line you will be literally unkillable, and you still have 2 more story lines to do with 0 progression)

man I feel the main limitation of stalker now is the lack of diversity of missions, you fetch/kill/escort and thats it...
Well which other kinds of generated missions would you want? Fully scripted missions take authors, good writing, time, and may not be compatible

Looking past the drama, the modpack is fun and really makes Anomaly look great. As a noob who just wanted a nice looking modpack it does the job and ill be keeping it but thats about it. Gonna keep away from that discord server and such not that I could understand anything. Only thing i wish i could change is change the title screen back to just Anomaly instead of Anomaly Custom as they branded the modpack.
