- Suede wrapping the R1! This process has taken a long time and many wheels to get down. What used to take me an entire day I can now do in about an hour :D As I continue to streamline my processes and get ready for the mass produced Turn R20 I'll continue to reveal some of my secrets!
This wheel is the Turn R1 Sim Steering Wheel. Available here!

Absolutely amazing:) Cant wait till my wheel arrive. By the way not only your wheels also your videos are a Masterpiece. Great advertising and people see where they money goes and that your wheels are worth any penny:)
okay, now I understand why they cost so much. love it.
😍😍
Tbh they are relatively inexpensive compared to the big 3 wheel makers. Wich is noice
As always, amazing video! For me the suede grips always looked like the biggest challenge and you manage to make it look so easily! I really want to build my own steering wheel with one of your barebones!
Awesome! Thanks so much!

@Desmond Fox Instablaster :)
I'm trying to do this by hand and it's the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. Big up to anyone that has the patients and skill 👌
Thanks Adam! Yeah it just takes a lot of practice and research haha

Wow, I never realized how much work goes into this! I just got into sim racing, so once my Fanatec gear gets back in from repairs, you're going to be the first new wheel purchase I make :)

Cant wait to see what you have coming (I would love an FXX-K wheel)
Nice video Zach! Little Kai doing puppy stuff, you actually can't stay mad at him, ha?
Haha so true! Too cute to get mad at. Thanks for the support!
very wobbly bro
i ordered this stuff. I'm just waiting for the delivery.
If I had done that there would be fing glue everywhere lol well done
Looks great! Patiently waiting my R20 ordered a few days ago. Is there no need for stitching the suede? Will the glue be as durable?
That’s really beautiful work. What kind of glue is that you guys are using? It’s interesting that you can apply it, let it dry, and it still adheres so well.
This vid showed me I will not be DYIing this...I'll leave this one to the pro's
Amazing quality! What adhesive do you use?
Nice job! do you only glue? no stitching? thanks
Hi, amazing job!!!
May I ask where you buy suede leather?
I'm planing to build a wheel and i bought suede vinyl to wrap the handles and it turns out to be complete rubbish...
yeah genuine calf hide suede is def best for wrapping grips. It's more flexible too. Here is what I used to use unitedleather.com/products/calf-suede
Jajajaj I love it!❤
Nice job and thanks for sharing! Could I ask you what kind of adhesive you used in the video?
Thank you! I use Barge All Purpose Cement
Now I see why these cost what they do... seems like a bargain based on this amount of work. killer job man
How thick is the aluminum ?
Labor or of love I agree now I see the cost and my mind is made up. I will deff be buying one soon. Unless I win the contest then I will get it for free LOL.
What’s that glue you used
What adhesive is he using?
What adhesive do you use? Doing a DIY wheel myself
For suede wrapping I use Barge All Purpose Cement
Where to buy seude?
Very happy with my r1. Will you be offering red suede?
Thanks mate! Appreciate that!
Yes definitely something that is possible to do.
This is genuine question, I'm not insulting you or anything, I'm just wondering whether it's viable to run a sim racing wheel buisness cause it seems so saturated and there are lots of cheap(and relativly high quality) products by large manufacturers. Do you actually get enough customers from the sim racing community or do you also sell to actual racing teams too?
Thanks for the question mate! It is definitely a growing industry with more competition. But I believe there is still enough demand for custom and replica wheels as well as my 'production' wheels like the R1 to be able to do this full time. However I agree I don't expect this to be a multi million dollar business, but that isn't the goal. The goal is to just do what I love and share that with others, also doing things through social media and the podcast are other ways I enjoy to hopefully add value to this community 👍💪
@@TurnRacingThanks for the answer!
