Turn R20 Sim & Track Steering Wheel
Are the rubber grips made in house or do you outsource those?
So dope i cant wait for mine great company ! The owner is the type of guy i can stand behind !!! Good people much love
Fantastic to see you doing this in-house, honestly wouldn't have been surprised if you contracted that out. Makes me feel even better about just ordering one to go with an R305 I've had for a while, but now needs a new module/box. Keep it up, Z.
shut up and take my money!!!!!!!!!
This was awesome. Where is the third video??
Hi all Im doing my own wheel and i have a big doubth how hard/soft must be the rubber or silicone for the hand grips y tested R30 hard and its very soft, comfprtable but soft, and probabilly it will broke no so far... PLEASE, ANYONE KNOWS ABOUT THIS?? MAYBE R45 ITS ENOUGTH??
Hi, what software use to design stickers ??
Can anyone identify what material he uses in the molds for the grips?
I already have a DDU (sorry, lol. If this would have been there sooner i would've gone for this 100%) will the dash template become available to use? because it looks clean but also very complete.
Not to worry! The Turn Racing Dashboard made by Lovely Dashboard will be available for free soon.
Looks great. I am looking forward to seeing mine on my rig.
That dash design is LOVELY
We see what you did there!
Simhub integration makes sense, great software no need to reinvent it
Exactly our thoughts, as it's such a powerful and popular tool in the sim racing community. Though we are investigating other solutions, including our own at some stage! -Luke
Amazing 🤩
🥵
Any new updates for the tdu?
Hey Shaun, sorry for the late response. If you are a preorder customer, we shared an email update yesterday! Thanks -Luke
Hey, thank you for this!!! I'm building your DIY 911 GT3 wheel right now and I would like to cast my grips. I noticed that you use a shore 70A PU rubber for your grips. I unfortunately only have access to 60A and 90A. Would it be ok to use one of those and if so, which one? thanks allot!
Hey, sorry for the late response. 60A would likely be the better option! Regards -Luke
@@TurnRacing Not to worry. I'm sure you're very busy. Thanks allot!
all credit to you bro
Hi what is that solution you spray on the carbon fiber to clean it?
Hi guys, where can I source the magnets?
The craftsmanship, the aesthetic, the music, the editing. The perfect video.
This was a great video, super insightful and a nice look into the future!

i realy enjoy that you share your story, thank you
Awesome stuff man keep it up. Looking forward to a round wheel
Thanks Pete! It's coming 😅 been working for awhile on a new platform that will have at least 6 different types of grips
Great progress! Can't wait to get my TDU5 pre-order. Also, where are the yellow industrial storage shelves from? Looking to build out a shop of my own.
Thanks for the update. While I’m trying to wait for my TDU5 pre order patiently, it’s not easy lol. Glad to hear there’s at least some movement there even though it seems like august isn’t going to happen obviously. Looking forward to what you have in the pipeline for the future.
Be proud of you, Zach. Amazing progress! 💪
thanks Ben! Hope you're doing well man
I wish you well Zach with your business. I have your wheel and BP2 combo and it's great for the money. My advice would be to not follow the other wheel makers by going high end with flashing buttons and displays but to stick within the sub $500 market without sacrificing quality. One area that other wheel makers don't take into consideration are VR users like me who don't care about the bells and whistles but just want a wheel that feels good in the hand with well laid out and easy to find buttons. I think there's a market for a range of VR replica wheels for different popular race cars all at $500 range, that don't have displays and don't look exactly like the replica wheels in person but most importantly they feel exactly like replica wheels in VR. I could easily see VR customers buying multiple wheels from you if you offered these. Case in point I have a custom Cosworth LMP2/IndyCar wheel without the display and flashing buttons, it has all the buttons and rotaries laid out exactly the same as the wheel in the sim and the knobs are all high quality aluminum and not 3D printed. In VR it feels like you've got the real wheel yet it only cost me $450 total to get made.
Hear Hear! Still very happy with all my Turn Racing Wheels. From the Mercedes wheel, to the R305 and BP2. Quality stuff!
Thanks Mark! Totally agree with everything you said. I'm really glad to hear validation of the assumptions and decisions I made a few years ago already, I think you'll like what we've got in the pipeline 😏
@@TurnRacing that's great to hear. If you ever want to talk over my ideas in more detail then I'm only too happy to help you out, no strings attached. I've been in and out of the sim racing community for a very long time now and at one point was closely involved with a rival wheel builder. There's one idea I have in particular not mentioned here that I would love to see come to life.
Really cool seeing you take the next step with the business. Been a follower and customer since right when you stopped doing custom wheels. Keep it up man, we see direction you're trying to go in and it'll fit in the sim market nicely.
Very cool impressions of your store, congratulations on the new round of funding!
I'm really enjoying these update videos and having the opportunity to watch as you grow your business. It's great to watch the discussion about the technical aspect of developing products and the work that goes into each iteration. Really looking forward to hearing more about the wheelbase. Definitely keep these coming!
Thank you so much for your videos, can I ask you to make a video to show how to create the negative mold with gummy resins to create the handles? many thanks in advance
Hi Eugenio, please join our Discord where you can find a great community of DIY sim racers who can advise on how to do these, we also have a Wiki that I'd suggest you checked out - that is on the Discord too :) turnracing.com/discord2
can you make a video where you explain how to make the negative mold of the steering wheel?
Might be one of the coolest vids I’ve seen.
he is a good driver but as a person idk this and other interviews make me think that he seems kind of apathetic and pessimist.
thanks for this guide i was thinking of making one for the ferrari p80c steering wheel maybe in the future i will make a custom wheel of my own
are kits still being sold on the website or not? becasue i cant find it
Sold 1 more today. Guess who? LOL. This video and YOU sold it. Truly appreciate your engineering, time and dedication to this and the hobby. Thank you!!!! Just hope I am within the first 1k of preorders.
Great honest video. Just made my pre order based on this. Look forward to receiving mine!
amazing!!! I follow you since the first projects, a few years ago, and is awesome to see where you are right now and imagine how far you can go!! congrats!!!
Good update. I always find these videos interesting. Nothing beats my R320. Love it!
Thanks for the update and the behind the scenes. Can't wait to receive mine.
Good update Zach! I am looking forward to having mine. Your shop and your knowledge have really grown.
Hats off for building the products and a business all by yourself self. Also for showing and explaining the process!
Very cool insight into your production processes. I wish you every success with the launch!
Thanks Max! Appreciate the continued support as always.
Hi Man, I am also a small manufacturer of the hardware and I no the pain of the whole processes :) It takes weeks, months to make something. Keep going,
Yes definitely! It's worth it though, I love it, but definitely a lot of hurdles to overcome as well. I hope to document more of the process so that it can help others too, because in order to really have a sustainable economy, I think we need to move away from over reliance on globalization by having more local and regional small agile manufacturers
Hi Turn, congratulations as usual you have really grown with your company and your products are more and more perfect ... Compliments
Thanks Vincenzo! Appreciate the kind words.🙏
Nice job. Looking for a round rim you maybe thinking about one of those. Great work.
Thanks Pete! Yes for sure that will be part of the new steering wheel system I'm launching later this year
first to comment! you are a legend ! keep up the good work!Cheers from Brazil!
thank you sir 🙏
