Thanks for the video Heiner, could I just ask do we clean up the rotor shaft face & grooves as well with abit of fine 4-600 abrasive paper? Also is it worth when were at home swapping out the philips screws for hex or torxs? is there a tourque setting or just 'tight' . Thanks for sharing all your tips & tricks with us mate, could save a life one day, you are a legend!! 👍👍👍👍
Fantastic. Great content. I changed my self the brushes in the startermotor of my suzuki vitara 2.0td (had to do some welding) but the alternator allwais seemed something out of my league. Primarily because it's harder to diagnose but with your video i feel confident to give it a try if someday i came across a problem. Congratts
When putting the brushes in you can use a slice of a plastic bottle. It just needs to be a bit wider the the brushes to slide on because there can be groves that can stop the bushes going in that can damage them.
Hi, we've got a few options from rapid power on our website. Most popular are the water-cooled and Endura brushless. Both types are a great replacements, we install often. Find more info here: perthpro.com.au/collections/alternators
