400K subs, woohoo! I'm not going to make a video for this milestone, but thanks everyone for watching and supporting the channel. Lots more adventurous videos coming soon. Have a great summer and stay safe and healthy. NOTE: A lot of comments about the price of the meal at the end. The plate of food wasn't actually 130 kuna. The cevapcici was 80 kuna and I ordered the grilled vegetables as a side dish, which I thought was going to be extra. But they ended up including that with the main dish. So it was just 80 kuna for the whole plate of food, which is $12.50. And then I had a bottle of water and dessert, so everything together came to 130 kuna. Where they really ripped me off was the bottle of water, which was 30 kuna or $5. I hadn't checked the price beforehand, so that's something to watch out for. You can certainly find cheaper restaurants in Croatia. But if you're going to eat somewhere with a view of the sea in a touristy area, it's going to be tourist prices.
Its been long over due gabe, you deserve more subscribers after all the beautiful vlogs you made. Congratulations and we will always support you. Stay safe. ❤

What a wonderful flashback ... I spent my summers here in the 80's, had a house in Sutivan. I watch a video on a hot day from the office, summer at the time of the corona, and at 10:49 I experience the heat and wonderfully fresh Adriatic Sea and the cooling in it. Brac is a beautiful island, full of history, beautiful girls, and my wonderful memories. Like the whole of Dalmatia. Great video, as if I was walking the streets of Bol myself ...

21:38 When you said 130 kuna I almost fell off my chair lol. In Zagreb, that costs about 40 kuna. I knew it was more expensive there but triple the price is actually crazy.
As someone who grew up in Split, after visiting all bigger islands in Dalmatia and entire coastline from Vinišće to Makarska, I can rest my case saying Zlatni Rat is my favorite beach I've ever been on. On most beaches there is always something missing - clean water, nicer rocks, more natural shade. I came to Bol and I wanted to stay there an entire week. It was literally perfect. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Croatia. Next year there will be a direct ferry from Split to Bol, so use that opportunity!
The main catch for Zlatni Rat is that it is formed naturally just between two sea currents that splashes at him from both sides so it is never the same, swings all the time but never get blown away into sea

Most of the tourists this year are from Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Czechia, Poland, Hungary and now in August Italians as well - they're also traditional guests. Locals make up around 20% tho which is a higher percentage than usual. In a normal season, there's usually a lot more people from all over the place, particularly Brits, Scandinavians, Dutch, Swiss, French, Americans as well as the folks from other balkan countries, like Bosnians and Serbs. They had a really serious uptick in new infections however, just as the summer tourist season began, so traveling from other balkan countries is restricted unfortunately.
I went to the Croatia islands near there for a few days like 30 years ago on a backpacking trip when I was in college. We went there before it was cool to go there, because our European friends mother told us to go there. It was right before the war. I knew nothing about the place, but I could tell the people were not happy, that there was tension. You went to see what the scene was by the sea. I think when you asked the young woman about the price of a water taxi and she asked for how many people and you said just one, she couldn't believe that a clean shaven, good-looking American guy like you would be alone. I just dig the vibe in the whole region of Europe you're in, from Austria to Ukraine and all countries in between. I'm glad you're back there. Enjoy. Btw, I'd say mostly on the Heaven side but those gravel beaches ... can't there be any sand there? Happy 400K. Legend.
I found you a few weeks ago and enjoy this. You seem to travel how we do but you are more adventurous as you are a lot younger. We have traveled a lot of the world and it breaks my heart with this virus and us not being able as U.S. citizens to get out and being seniors, we have to be careful. We were almost stuck in Australia in March and really need to get back to the international travel. If we had Canadian passports we may just do what you are doing!
It looks very nice, and the water looks incredible. I saw a Croatian news article saying that the Germans are saving the tourism industry there, pouring in by the thousands, driving there. Do you have a time frame for staying in Croatia, or just going with the flow? & Congrats on 400k subscribers. Happy travels, Jeff
@Jeff Jacques Is that news article a new one? The guy from whom we normally rent our apartment in Podgora, just south of Makarska, tells me that starting in May, most of the people come from countries with very cold climates like the nordic ones... Germans and Italians have visited for ages, Austrians and Czechs also, but now there are waves of Poles as a result of an improved economy and a sizable population. I'm not surprised Italians go for the olive oil, truffles and pizza... we go from Mexico for Croatia's beaches, culture and specially its people, and we "contribute", very little but often to its economy... HAHAHA. Love Hrvastka... and Poland!
The moment I saw Zlatni Rat and the number of people I was waiting for your reaction (which would have been mine as well!) 😎 Love those little harbours with blue water ... Look forward to next vid!

Makes sense when in Croatia to have cevapi's to eat! Cheers!
Happy 400K. Legend.
Ohhoo beatiful plage
I found you a few weeks ago and enjoy this. You seem to travel how we do but you are more adventurous as you are a lot younger. We have traveled a lot of the world and it breaks my heart with this virus and us not being able as U.S. citizens to get out and being seniors, we have to be careful. We were almost stuck in Australia in March and really need to get back to the international travel. If we had Canadian passports we may just do what you are doing!
Well done for 400k
Go see The Dragons Cave on Brac. Really worth a visit and away from the madding crowds!
@Jeff Jacques
Is that news article a new one?
The guy from whom we normally rent our apartment in Podgora, just south of Makarska, tells me that starting in May, most of the people come from countries with very cold climates like the nordic ones... Germans and Italians have visited for ages, Austrians and Czechs also, but now there are waves of Poles as a result of an improved economy and a sizable population.
I'm not surprised Italians go for the olive oil, truffles and pizza... we go from Mexico for Croatia's beaches, culture and specially its people, and we "contribute", very little but often to its economy... HAHAHA.
Love Hrvastka... and Poland!
Man, so beautiful.
The moment I saw Zlatni Rat and the number of people I was waiting for your reaction (which would have been mine as well!) 😎 Love those little harbours with blue water ... Look forward to next vid!
Life is too short enjoy 😊
Went to Bol with Yugotours in late 70s I think. Russian plane to Split then hydrofoil ferry to Brac.
I don’t think the plane was Russian. Yugoslavia back than didn’t have Russian aircrafts. Commercial airlines in the 70’s all had McDonnell Douglas DC 10s. or Boeing 707s
