Croatia is amazing. One of my favourite if not my favourite country in the world. Per square metre of land more beauty than any of the 40 countries I have visited.
@superbura9 superbura9 oh I wasn't aware that it was not appropriate to suggest other great areas to tour to people who like to travel. Thank you for letting me know.
"Where am I" ?😆 🤪 🙃 🤔 😂 🤣 that was awesome!!! Only a world 🌎 traveler can say that...aaaaahhhh u are living when you have traveled so much u are not sure where u are. Thank you for keeping it real and thank you for that big happy 😃 smile
I've always heard that Croatia was beautiful but I didn't know it was as beautiful as this! I'm really impressed. That water is amazing and the beach is happening. I'm glad you were able to travel to this part of the world and I hope that the pandemic will be over sooner than later.
This time last year I was looking forward to my Croatian holiday in Porěc. Great tours all around that area including trips to Trieste, Slovenia etc. Great part of the World.
I remember these places from my dad photos when he was vacationing in Primosten every summer back in the 90's. I never visited Primosten, although I was passing the motorway exit Sibenik, Primosten quite a few times. Thanks for the video, I'll sure make a stop next time I'll drive by.
I love Croatia, pula in the North has an Amphitheater and lots of historical interests also they have an observatory and they give you briefing and show relics and very well described and they do that for free, you may have to phone them! Some stunning quiet beaches a little out of Pula, anyway enjoy and thanks for the great updates of this beautiful country
Thanks for the walk through the cemetery. Wherever I go in the world I like to visit cemeteries. I think they reveal a lot about the local people. I was in Croatia in 2019 and my son and wife flew out of there in 2020 a couple of days before the sky started falling. Everybody was and still are free of medical issues. Beautiful country and we will be back.
There is a town 5 mins from Primosten called Rogoznica which is stunning. Visit the statue of Our Lady of Loretto above Primosten for amazing views..... ask the locals. The Krka National park and waterfalls are in your way to Sibenik. You can swim in these waterfalls for the last time in 2020. Sibenik is also near the Kornati archipelago, great island of Murter connected by island to the mainland and also Vodice. One of the nicest regions in Croatia is Sibenik.
I was in the old Yugoslavia back in 1973, on a journey in the back of an old van from Amsterdam to Athens and haven’t been back since, I think I should go again and see how it’s changed lol.
Wow Croatia is such a beautiful country! Love that you're sharing this especially during pandemic which makes me miss travelling so much. Well hey, that's def gonna be in my next travel bucketlist🙌
I think you did a good decission by going to Croatia. Great weather, reasonal prices and less covid problems. It seems it is one of the view countries in Europe to enjoy right now. Turkey as a next destination would be also great. I saw in the news that the Sumela Monastery in the Black Sea region has reopend its doors after 5 years of renovation. If you go there you would be the first international youtuber there since 2015 :-)
love your videos Gabe.....especially of Croatia. Looking forward to Sibenik tomorrow in your travels. Safe travels from a fellow Canuck of Croatian heritage....
I was in Primostèn many years ago with my parents. I was a kid, I must have been 10 or 12 years old (so it was around 1986) ... I remember a pine forest right next to the sea where there was a giant chessboard with which to play chess ... and also a bowling alley. how many memories ... we left Rome by car passing through Trieste and traveled along the entire Croatian coast. thank you for making me relive these memories… greetings!
Hey Gabriel.... Watching you from a wonderful beach in Costa Blanca, avoiding the crowd ..😃 and planning next travel to Croatia, thanks to you... By the way, you really detailed each and every spot of this wonderful country ..which suits you so well... Stay safe and healthy and never stop traveling sharing all this great adventures with us , your faithful followers !! Biiig hugs 😍
some of those abandoned hotel complexes were owned by companies for their workers to have place to vacation in, and when that companies went bankrupt , ownership of those hotels became unclear so no one took care of them and they ended up this way
I’m interested in visiting every country on this beautiful planet but man you sure did bump Croatia up the list a ways lol. I love the architecture, the mountains and all the nice little beaches you’ve shown. I’m sure when I get there it will be filled with annoying tourists but it looks to be well worth the trouble.
Hey there 😃 Love how you opened this vlog Enjoyed every second the footage especially of the💧 water ...ocean in my personal 💙 favorite but even the fountain was delightful.
Christal clear water, good food, wine,, diving, mountain biking, moto cross, fishing and many interesting things to do in Primošten but friends is the reasons why I’m here year after year since 80’ Bdw, Primošten was a domicile of Orson Wells
Thanks Gab for taking us with you on your journey 📹🌎...enjoy Croatian beautiful coast for us too...us ...stranded on land 🙄 !!! Tho visit Vodice, 10km after Sibenik towards Zadar....and small lovely fishing village of Tribunj, reachable by walk along the coast from Vodice...lovely bays at Sovlje, Tisno,Murter etc...planty to see!
Love waking up to see these videos just wish to be some of these places but until then thank you. You do make it doable money wise. Im sure airfair is cheap nowadays also but im suffering with arthritis so just not in fair shape. You amaze me the walking u do. Thanks again
Oh youre going to Šibenik next? I hope its not too late for tips.. So heads up Šibenik was the first town built by croats (so no pre-existing greek or roman settlements), and it was built with medieval millitary tactics in mind, so its placed inside a channel and on top of a hill. Because of that it has 3 land fortresses (two of which can be visited) and 1 sea fortress (also can be visited), but the downside is theres no beaches around (theres one town beach build couple of yrs back but its touristy and fake XD) So my tip is to take a 15min boat ride from the main peer to nearby beach Jadrija (its 12kn for return ticket and it goes back and forth every hour), this boat ride will give you great shots of the town from the sea and great shots of that sea fortress since it goes through the st. Anthony channel ;)
Thank you for another nice piece of content, the time to show us new places and the work that’s goes into it, specifically the editing, not as easy as it seems, it’s time consuming so that in itself is very much appreciated...good job.👍
Those abandoned and ruined hotels were build mostly by Yugoslavian peoples army and by some huge companies from other republics back in times, for their personel and workers vacation. Because od that, some of hotels doesn't has clear ownership and can't be restored, and it costs big money. Love your videos. Watching you travel there, I am thinking to do the same. Cheers, greeting from Belgrade.
The problem with the hotel in Primosten (one of them) is that it was sold to a Hungarian businessman with the condition to restore it. He did fuck all though and since then it stays like that. the other one (Marina Lucica) was destroyed by refugees during the war who were housed there and it was also never renovated either. Both big mistakes
Awesome places to explore Gabe 😎 Croatia is def on the cards to explore when everything settles down 🤞🏼 “ where am I “ 🤣 that’s the only way to travel , is to get lost and forget where you are 😁👍🏼 rock n roll dude , safe travels 😌
Gabriel, you are stopping in all the right places. We visit Primošten, Makarska, Korčula etc each year, but we never go there during the main tourist season. The weather is nice in April, May & October, but it is much less crowded and we can have all these beaches to ourselves. Any plans to visit Slovenia after Croatia? If so, I can give some hints.
when you're in sibenik, you should check out the island of murter. it's got stunning beaches, plus it's the gateway to kornati islands national park. as for the abandoned hotels, during the socialist era (1945-91) they were owned and operated by the state. in many cases the hotels belonged to large state owned companies, they were built exclusively for the employees of such companies. in other words, employees had access to such hotels at a very affordable rate. there are many reasons as to why some of the hotels in question are now abandoned, it's got a lot to do with unresolved legal issues that have surfaced post socialist yugoslavia.
Have watched and enjoyed your videos for a while. So happy to see you tour my ancestral home. Since you’re moving up the coast, I’m going to let you in on a secret. It’s one of the best beaches you’ll find and makes for an interesting day trip. When you get to Zadar, rent w car for a day and take the ferry to “Dugi Otok” (Long Island). After doing some driving and touring, find the Sakarun Beach just outside town of Soline on Dugi Otok. It pains me to share this, because I’d rather keep it “hidden,” but I’m sure you’d enjoy it. Stay safe.
What glorious weather you're having!!!!!..... Interesting to see how different folks are making most of getting around!!..... REALLY envious of your lunch spot!!!!!🤣😸...... Be safe🙏😸
"And just today, I took the bus up from Makarska to... where am I? I forgot. Wherever I am -- you lose track sometimes..." That was hilarious. But honest. :-)
I've noticed how spotlessly clean it is...everywhere you visit across Croatia....even ruins are neatly ruined ha ha ....and waters crystal clear..who knew Croatia was so beautiful .....
Croatia is just awesome. Going there for almost 20 years now and this summer the 3rd time to primosten. Tip: if you're looking for another "lost place/abandoned hotel" be sure to check out the Hotel Haludovo on the island of KRK. Pretty big and stunning lost place.
before i forget: your videos are great. i love your style of just walking/driving around and explore the surroundings. this matches very much my personal vacation-style :-)
Missing Croatia so much when I watch this. My second home
Yes I love it also...... I want to risk it next month
I'm going in late September, found a great deal!! Well, hopefully I'm going as you never know what might happen next in this crazy world. :)

This time last year I was looking forward to my Croatian holiday in Porěc. Great tours all around that area including trips to Trieste, Slovenia etc. Great part of the World.
I totally love the Mediterranean, it's so colorful and cozy! :))
Just watching these stunning views makes me relaxed.
Excellent.
