I jumped on the manga right after Season One ended and the Tokyo Blade arc is probably my favorite arc of the series. There’s just something fascinating about seeing something from a behind the scenes viewpoint like a play or movie.

The thing about this episode is that it talks about when a manga is change when it is adapting it into another medium to fit the narrative but not losing the original core or might get change. What I am amaze of I still remember the manga panels of these and they jumble of some chapters to narratively make the anime more engaging and fit the medium well and they nailed it
Oshi no Ko get the great adaptation it deserved and it shows in the anime.

It's back and back to being perfection again. The ending of changing the whole play, spelled trouble all over.
Good start to the new season….can’t wait to see how this “plays” out. That ED is so damn good. When that chorus hit, it gave me goosebumps. Hitsujibungaku did the ED to JJK last season. They’re a freakin’ great band.
Some scenes and colour of black and white were like canvas of painting where there is no colour or anything then sudenly it exploteds from cold to warm and vibrant colours. Like the painter playfully and happyly plays with brush on the canvas expressing his emotions. Also like how they go into details about explaing how certain things and characters personalities and motivations needs to be cut. To fit into run time of the play so it wont feel disjointed or takes to much time comapared to others.
The colors were great! Doga Kobo is slowly becoming my favorite animation studio!! They’re also animating Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian and that had a great first episodes today!!!
They can't deliver the consistent sakuga of other studios but their character art and designs are so beautiful to look at
@@re_striker3431 IDK about the animation, they have been constantly improving a lot these last years and it's very evident. They haven't done any action show to fully show those skills either.
This was a fun episode, especially seeing the acting of some of the characters as they rehearsed. The way they’re acting bounced off each other and just grew and grew, it was absolutely exciting. Then don’t even get me started on the ending, I saw that character in the trailers and I was waiting to see the more “enthusiastic” moments of her and I see we’re gonna witness that in the beginning of next episode. Also what i really like about this was the explanation of how things go when people have to change a character a bit to bring out what they think is best. Lastly Op and Ed were really good, personally I loved the Op more but both were great
I have been so hype for the return of Oshi No Ko. And I got to say it really did deliver on that. As what was shown is a confirmation of that this will be one of the top superior shows of the season.
Because it was all on top of the production, story, and emotions. Like an example is when Kana and that other star actor did train their acting. And it was so greatly directed with the color splash, and how they temporarily were looking like their character visionally.
Other good scenes that I liked was how Aqua did excuse himself to the director and screen writer as Akane was wondering about why her character was so different to the source material. And I think that made Aqua such good boy friend material by asking on her behalf. When she was too nervous to do it by herself.
But that also lead me to my second favorite scene. As the screen writer and director did explain why they did change one of the character personality from the source material. In how often you need to adapt things differently between different mediums. As they all have their various strengths and weakness. And a great writer is someone who takes advantages of those different strengths depending on the medium. That is something that you rarely see in shows, and even in real life. People often does not understand that fact
Oshi no PEAK is so back! That entire scene with Kana and the other dude acting was amazing! Glad to see that the production is as great as ever.
They did it again…another banger of an Op,other series will have to go above and beyond to surpass that. Ed is great but doesn’t beat the first one imo,I’ve seen so many memes with the old one that it has become iconic. Thought they might get close if they use this new ed at the end of the eps just like they used the first one
Our favorite idol murder mystery is back, and this arc is a very good one. Can’t wait to see how Doga Kobo blows this out the water! First episode was absolutely outstandin I love how they introduced the characters, kind of like we’re watching a premier in theaters! The fight between Kana camp & Akane camp is going to be strong this season. OP is pretty damn 🔥 BUT is it better than Idol? ED is great visually, but Mephisto by Queen Bee last season was too good.
This is arc is 10/10 masterpiece wait for the next weak
One of my favorite arcs of the entire manga off to a great start. And I didn't think for a second any other OnK OP would surpass OP1... but I was surprised how easily OP2 cleared it.
Akane pouting was just too cute and yeah this ark is one of the best the source material has to offer compared to the final ark that is
Man, I can't even begin to count the layers of story that got slammed in our brains with this episode alone.
There's, of course, Aqua's lil' quest to find the mastermind behind his ma's death.
There's Akane trying to deliver her best performance with limited material while also trying to get close to her "pretend boyfriend".
Kana meeting a lead actor that can really bring out the actress in her.
The production team balancing the needs of the medium he works with with the stuff present in the source material.
Poor Melt being given the cold shoulder by the author of that tragic manga that he didn't portray properly (I'm sorry, lad, I laughed so hard during that scene, but you reap what you sow).
And that... cat-like author that just casually requested the whole thing to be rewritten. It's the quiet ones you should fear indeed.
All the layers of tales forming a delightful knot that will ultimately lead to that presentation we saw in media res during the opening scenes of the chapter; beautifully presented by ANOTHER great studio masterfully adapting Oshi no Ko's famous Stage Play Arc... all while Akasaka-sensei grins in satisfaction at this meta creation of his showing us the gritty nuances of the Japanese entertainment industry.
Many times in my line of work (manga translator), I've read the author's comments when they speak about their works being adapted to Drama CDs, anime's, stage play's, live actions, etc. What kind of experiences they are, especially when things like today's episode ending's happen. And this season, I will see it unfold in such a way that I can't help but enjoy again the absolute banger of an arc this will be.
Both in and out of the anime.
This is a fantastic arc, can't wait to see all of it animated.

This was a good first start. It is the best arc and you are right the production is outstanding.
The first half could be a slow burner to some. But the second half will be amusing fire. I just know it because of the opening is showed that they will adapt that arc.
They will adapt another 40 chapters and that is great. Keeping the same pacing with a similar runtime that worked well in first season.
My love is back... it delivered and immediately with 1st episode layering things out.. even provoking imediate rewatch bcs that author at 1st glance just shy.. now im wondering if it was more guilt rather than shyness. So glad its back
I was so happy to see this show come back with such quality as well. The whole episode had such amazing care put into it from the visual effects to the sound directing and the voice acting. Every scene was captivating.
Otherwise, are you going to give a chance to Alya Sometimes Hides her Feelings in Russian? It's being produced by the same studio as OnK and they've put in the same amount of quality as they did with OnK.

Yes I was. I read the manga the day the last episode of season 1 was over.
That being said, this series reminds me of "Food Wars" in how they can take something like acting or cooking and compare it to fighting. It's dope as sh** and I love it.
I loved this epesode iv read 2 volumes ahead because thats what's been officially released in english volumes and wail theres some stuff cut one part I do think they will put in later but what they have done with they used and also all that they added to it loved the kana acting moment

It's definitely the exception to the rule though, or at least at the tail end. Yu-Gi-Oh a few others from that era definitely took time to do awkward internal monologues about what's going on. Wasn't always pulled off well. Glad it's a rare thing nowadays.
It is confirmed season two will have 13 episode meaning we will get to see black star ruby in the finale. We did get to see the Kroger in the opening meaning we will get to see the jaw-dropping moment which will happen in the final episode that cliffhanger will be so shocking, and we only will be wondering what is going to happen next after the cliffhanger ending 🤩

Oshi no Ko and Alya could be top 2 of the season, and both are by Doga Kobo.
For me, what I got from the author is that when she saw the high level acting of the cast, she realized they could do much more, so I think she decided to change the script to push the limits.
Life hack, if you don't know something, and it's not really possible to find it on your own, just ask. Props to Aqua for that.

1st Season OP and EP were great. This season I don't like the songs. Like how the EP of last season starting early at the end of the episode where the girl acted so hard she made stars in her eyes. Best scene in the show with the music backing it up.
My only complaint with this episode is that it feels like an episode 2. They just start with a flash forward and speed ran character interactions/introductions. However all the creative liberties the studio is doing to enhance the material is making me optimistic for the stage play.
Each scene for me is just pure precence but i think this not get anime of year if jjk fans that think jjk is the only anime that exist
