As a relative newbie to Destiny 2 this is an absolute godsend. You've made the video easy to understand and explaining how each build works. Instant sub.
You can always tell how much work you put into your videos, it doesn’t go unnoticed! Lucky pants with malfeasance and liars handshake are two hunter builds that I have a lot of fun playing.
I’m running Skyburner’s oath (every hip fire bullet applies scorch) That starts the loop - weighted knife activates an ignition. So shoot one bullet from the hip and throw the knife. Fragments like melee energy when scorching and grenade energy on ignition kills pairing with gunpowder gamble (which counts as a grenade) is an insane build. Skyburner gives you explosive rounds that immediately apply scorch (without the need to kill) and long range since it’s a scout rifle. Best one I’ve played. Match with ophidia spathe for extra knife so you can have two back to back ignitions
the Strand Star eater build is actually some of the most fun i've had in a while, i forgot how amazing it was to chuck a tangle and grapple along for the ride
My favorite hunter build right now is the Gyrfalcons Hauberk with Le Monarque and a Halmerhead with Rewind Rounds and Target Lock. It's super good at all levels of difficulty.
I very rarely comment on UA-cam videos but I have to say just how well scripted and put together this whole video was. The infographics are a nice touch and the way you explained everything was just so intuitive and easy to follow. Build videos can often be messy and hard to keep track with, especially as a player who regularly takes long breaks and then gets back into the game. You’ve done an amazing job here, keep it up! Subscribed :)
The complete trio is here, thanks for putting out these videos Castle! I'm pretty noobish when it comes to buildcrafting, but these videos have helped me a ton! Thanks for making them, much love
Tip for Build 1: Repulsor Brace (for easy to access overshield) and Destabilizing Rounds (another means to access invis in case you mess up the loop/more CC explosions along with volatile) are Gyrfalcon's best friends. Good weapons in these archetypes would be primaries, fusions or GLs (fusions have a ramp-up period that breaks invis so you effectively spend less time outside of invis, GLs have to travel to get to the enemy typically so you'll be able to break and trigger volatile rounds while the GL shot is on its way to the enemy). Rat King is an honorable mention (good for Gyrs due to another way to access invis, also good on a Graviton build). You can use D2Armory to search for guns with Repulsor Brace and/or Destabilizing Rounds as a possible trait and it will also tell you what activity will give you the gun.
Solar Hunter w/ Lucky Pants is absolutely insane this season. Ive found running Conditional Finality and the HC from Neomuna to be even more fun than Sunshot when paired with the right artifact mods. Great video!
i like it more on strand with wardens or malf then run solar special and heavy for the artifact mods, basically 2 builds in one...using wardens law opens up the exotic slots to run polaris lance or dragon's breath...also works well with void subclass
What an amazing video. I have friends who don't even bother with builds because they think it's too complicated to keep going. They way you describe what happens is so easy to grasp. I will be letting them all check this out. Thank you!
during the vid i was like fk man i wish he would take a screenshot of the build so that i dont have to rem everything, and then the nicely made setup screenshot comes and I was like Damn this is PERFECT. Thanks bud, love it.
Before I watch this, I just want to say your Titan version of this is amazing. Now that I play a little bit of warlock and under I know this builds are going to pop off and be very versatile. Thank you for all your hard work!
Brillient video. I’ve just got back into destiny and the 3.0 subclasses are WAY overwhelming, I feel for players new to destiny. Good info and even better builds
all builds were amazing but i think best combo for lucky pants is crimson(hand cannon) cause it get the stacks of illigal mod high very quick and on every kill with crimson you get healing so its like a combo on its own and if you replace gunpowder gambler with knock em down you have unlimmited melee of healing and fire sprites. edit: please let me know what you think about this btw : love your videos
just discovered your channel and I love the clear and easy to read photoshopped images. Makes it incredibly easier to put the build together looking at it
This is easily the best build video. I'm a returning D1 vet (I played some D2 before but ended up quitting for some time) and seeing all these new aspects and fragments and how complicated the builds get is kinda intimidating, but you explain it in a way that makes it so easy to understand. Take my subscription!
Amazing overview because you really break down how each part of the loop works and don’t jus throw a bunch of lingo at us. Looking forward to seeing what you cover next
the posters are amazing, i really appreciate them!! I was able to watch the video on my phone on the train home from work then just click the links for the posters to transfer into my build slots, a really nice added touch!
Missed opportunity not mentioning Salvager’s Salvo for the Arc Moth build, I’d argue it’s better than dead messenger since you can go for a heavy arc exotic like Grand Overture.
Also, a mothkeepers tip! If you hit an enemy with a moth grenade *directly* with Spark of Shock, this will jolt enemies before the moths are actually spawned, which is an incredibly good tool to have in your back pocket if an overload gets a little too close to comfort. This also works with Coldsnap grenades, as hitting an enemy directly with a Coldsnap applies slow.
@3:32 there's a tab in Destiny that does more or less the samething for free. On character screen on keyboard hit the right arrow key. Just saved you a bunch of money
Ex Diris with the Mothkeepers build. Especially after today when they buff it. The moths behave like the grenade moths, and it's an arc special so it can blind by itself too. Also helps with being amplified.
For the motherkeeper build I'd recommend ex diris as it also shoots the moths. Mixed with mothkeepers you can heal get overshield and do absurd damage ik this build is well known but for newer players if you have lightfall that'd be a good exotic weapon and armor mix till you get better things or if you're like me and like ex diris and mother keeps so much just stick with it. Have a good day guardians
Brilliant video; best I've yet seen for builds, as you describe things and how they synergise with increasing complexity and graphical representations. I've seen a lot of videos on similar subjects where the dude spits his narration out like a 120wpm rapper shooting an uzi out of his mouth, showing the sprayed mess of enemy corpses on screen without so much as an explanation as an Apple slogan; "It just works." Bravo my friend; you've earned a like and a sub.
Phenomenal video. Clear and concise explanation of builds both visually and verbally. Character builds can often be complex and hard to follow. Castle does a great job of breaking it down in a way that is both simple and effective. As a relatively new player I really appreciate his approach here. Keep up the good work!
Thanks. Perfect video and easy to understand the gameplay loop, picture was well worth it. I have a question, I play with friends that can clear the room quick, what's a good build to keep up with them? Some builds out there take too long to ramp up and the room gets cleared by my fireteam before I can get the build going.
I mean the strand build has SO much going on you will see green everywhere, so plenty of the kills will be thanks to you. The solar sunshot is unbelievable for addclear too because it’s a HC that does heavy ammo dmg with explosions everywhere.
Love me my unforgiven on that first build. Constant overshield with invisibility on top and you're pretty much unkillable. Not to mention the ad clear goes through the roof with graviton lance since volatile works with the black hole perk making your explosions deal more damage and covering a larger area. Star eaters is better for a damage phase on bosses since it's pretty much doing nothing for you unless you pop your super. Celestial nighthawk also used to have this problem but since it was recently buffed to where precision blows build super energy its been getting used more in regular pve activities Assasins cowl doesn't play nice with other players unless the map is really big and the ad density is huge. Becomes very difficult to start your combo when teammates shoot the enemies you were trying to punch. I recommend this build for solo activities
for that one arc build, you should try the ex diris exotic grenade launcher with mothkeeper's wraps! there's a hidden interaction where ex diris kills spawn an additional void moth! just like the grenade version
Well done. I’m proud of you. Your videos have drastically improved in quality since the time when you were a young g buck UA-cam channel. I can’t recommend you to others enough.
Castle, I highly recommend if you haven’t, giving stasis hunter on assassin’s cowl a try. It can be just as much add clear and survivability as the arc hunter. Without the close range risk and melee damage. However, was it loses in melee damage, you gain in add control, the ability to freeze entire rooms of enemies with a single nade or a couple of melees can’t be understated
Do stasis is literally ass for this. If I wanna control rooms, I can run a blinding GL. Stasis don’t have the survivability like arc. With are, you literally have uptime on your melee that jolts and ramps up in damage to take care of beefy enemies. Stasis ain’t nothing.
Even though I'm a veteran and know all the ignition and jolt stuff you're explanations were still good and entertaining to watch with the visuals to go along
Literally switched to Hunter for the first 3rd of the season and your video pops up. Shame there is no Stasis build considering the buffs, but I'm guessing this was created before then? Does this take advantage of current seasonal artefact perks? Thank you Castle. Looking forward to updated Titan and Warlock videos. Appreciate you. Also I love the concise summary screens for each build. Very handy.
Assassins cowl stasis hunter is disgusting. You don’t have as much melee damage but you have alot more add control and it’s way less riskier. You rely on your guns more than just your melees but finishers also give invis
@@TheMarine0333 thanks for that I'll try it. Especially because you can proc invis from distance with that. I use cowl for strand and arc. Pretty fun. Was using renewal grasps for Stasis before.

this is the first destiny video about builds that i find extremely clear to follow, great video!

Awesome I’m glad it helps! Thanks Justin
Love the infographics because with most build vids you have to skip around to find all the components. Great work!
Great builds!
This is why I prefer to go solo. Fireteam members only screw everything up prolonging boss encounters. These builds are solid... Thanks!
One other weapon I would recommend for the void build is graviton lance. It makes the void explosions, ten times larger and easier!
you really make every build sound so cool and simple absolutely love this kind of destiny content
Not using Ex Diris on your Mothkeeper build is wild

the posters are unreal
