I have Calibans cytrachnes and assassins cytrachnes, which one would be better? Also btw I love your content so so much and your videos have always cheered me up I’ve never commented on one of your vids but I just want to say thank you castle ❤️❤️
As a newer player only about 100 hours in, this has been the most informative, well edited build guide I've had the pleasure of watching, this will be a blast to try and get it all put together. You earned a new subscriber and will be looking forward to any new vids in the future. Thanks for all the effort put into your contentz for the community!
So I've been watching multiple different types of videos on breakdowns and certain things and explanations of certain other things and I gotta say the way you break it down and divide it up and explain everything is probably the most meticulous and beautiful way I I've ever seen a UA-camr put it into a video. Absolutely awesome.
Thank you for explaining what everything does and why it's important. For someone who just came back to the game and is trying to learn what all the mods and such do, it's very helpful :) Most other build videos I've seen from others don't put in that extra effort
I loved the script, you didn't just give us the build (like a lot others), you explained it and why every piece of it is there and what you can replace. You even made sections and an index (!!!) to explain everything in a very ordered manner and I loved that. If you make more builds in the future definitely stick with this formula, it makes the build so much easier to understand and to imagine what it can do.
Another high production video, thank you so much for all of the effort you put into your videos. As an editor myself, I know just how long this process is and I wanted to make sure you know it's utmost appreciated .
Thank you Pagnean, it definitely takes many hours haha, between planning it out, getting it written in a way it's easy to follow, making sure footage matches, etc. ha
I’d like to thank Castle Content for this build and I would like to thank YOU, Catscrub for the suggestion. I’ve been using all FOUR of my grenades and have not taken this build off in 2 weeks!!!
i legit adore how you break the build down. concise. packed with knowledge, even some pieces of knowledge that people may already know but other may have been like "wait REALLY!?" this is a well done vid yo
I usually run healing nade with gpg, just as an extra ignition source, but I do still throw it at my feel occasionally, lol. In low-end content gpg, proximity knife, calibans, and Eriana's pretty much ensure endless ignitions, which is fun. But prox knife is *_worthless_* in harder content, which suuuucks.
Just to throw some things here, might interest someone -If you use a solar weapon, any kill will progress gpg without needing to debuff the target -Void weapons pair really well if used with the fragment that gives volatile rounds -Verity is also a good option on the right to turn gpg into a mini nuke(will need to pair weapon/base grenade element)
Thinking how to build around this. As I have inmost light and Verity. Do I need to use a solar weapon to make the most out of it? If so, I was thinking Sunshot with the Call side arm. While keeping the rest of this build. Also since I dont get th eproc of woven what could I put in its place for survivability. Thoughts?
thanks bro this build will be great in my arsenal , i have the spirit of galanor and spirit of cyrtarachne and have been in love with it as i always get back like half my super instantly aswell as woven mail . your vids are insanely good , think i have like 3 of them in my loadouts now 😇
Man I love the quality of these CC guides. Many build producers out there but few that can match the no nonsense, well explained guides you produce. I really appreciate knowing why I'm equipping something not just how it works.
Ah the classic Castle chalk board, brings me back to your old videos, you've come a long way but I still love your older content, was so refreshing to come across around when Beyond Light dropped
Managed to luck out and get HoiL+Cyrtarachne, and I've been running almost this exact build - double dipping on grenade and Gunpowder for Cyrtarachne triggers, tons of damage resist, and Threadling Clones actually working as intended, it's a real endgame build. Been running it on Glassway and Warden and it's legit carrying runs like I was on Omnioculus.
I watch many D2 content creator including the main stream ones. By far your video is the most informative, organized, considerate I've ever seen. Highly recommended to all other guardians out there.
As you noted in the vid, Amplified gives you +50 mobility, and if you’re amplified all the time with this build you really only need to reach 50mob and skip the stat boost mods. Other than that this build is legit. Just picked up that exact exotic class item and am excited to put it to good use. Seriously one of the best and well put together build guides I’ve watched in the final shape!
I just love how many different playstyles can get you to near unkillable levels of buff stacking. Cytarachne is my go to perk on these cloaks! Would love galanor or caliban, but atm im just all in on DR with renewal.
Been looking for a build that's not constant punching to alternate with my current Nighthawk-Boss-DPS. This one feels like a breath of fresh air, thank you for showing it :)
Just a note here, with that specific perk roll on the class item, Smoke Bomb might be a better play than Withering Blade, since every tick of Smoke Bomb re-procs Inmost Light, giving you more Grenade energy for your Arcbolts. If you have your Jolting Arcbolts more often, you won't really need Withering for Overloads. Plus Specter already takes care of a good chunk of the Dark Transcendence bar on its own, with how frequently it can be active. Loving the build otherwise, though!
All great points. I tried to ensure the build was set up for both worlds (having/not having hoil) without too many directions to branch off (makes videos hard to follow ha) and ended up liking shurikens during transcendence since you lose arcbolt. Either way I always enjoy hearing perspectives like that, thx for adding!
@@CastleContent Totally valid point, definitely feel ya on needing to keep things focused! It's impossible to cover everything, and making sure the most important stuff is clear and understandable is what's most important, no contest. Mad respect for prioritizing that!
I just slammed this build together. Didn't had exact class item roll, but had Caliban and Cyrtarachne roll sitting in vault, so using it. Explosions everywhere! I did change couple of mods around to match my build as I had so much room to adjust (I even got triple 100), like added bomber instead attraction and elemental charge instead font of agility. This act we do have Anti barrier smg, so good old voltshot ikelos got dusted off too. Right now it is my favorite prismatic hunter build, hands down!
This is my first time seeing you and I can confidently say this is the best/most in depth build video i've seen for Destiny. He really gets into the meat and potatoes of what you need and WHY
I *finally* completed dual destiny tonight and my first drop was the recommended roll!!! Insane dumb luck. Looking forward to trying this build tomorrow!
UPDATE: With Season 26: Revenant, we can now INCREASE THE CHANCE your next Exotic Class Item (sold by Xur this week) with the needed "Spirit of Cyrtarachne" using the new Attunement option from the Ghost on Pale Heart. In my case, I finally received one with my first Exotic Class Item from Xur. Thanks for the build!
Fun little add on for the weapon category: If you Run Salvations edge, Verglas, Ager’s, Anything that applies a similar ability damage(Freezing in this case), it gives You Ability Level charges towards Gpg. I like Running Ager’s or verglas For Additional freezing and slowing
Going back to the tether, if you tether a bunch of enemies and land explosive damage on multiple enemies in a single hit, the damage-sharing also stacks some extra from that blast onto the big target while killing everything in one hit.
I don't normally play hunter but have been for the pinnacles and chances at raid gear. I was just trying random stuff since I had to build from scratch. The way you broke this down and explained why and where things go is one if not the best build vid I've seen so far. If i wasn't already subbed you would have gotten a new one. Great job sir!
I cannot tell u how long I’ve been looking for a solid grenade spam build. Just did this weeks grandmaster and it’s amazing, I also wanna mention the fact that is nice trying different aspects in prismatic since I always ran the same thing so huge plus.
Thank you - I've yet to try this out but I love the tank playstyle, despite the fact that I picked a Hunter. All I've used is Renewal/Cyrtarachne and I'm loving it but this has genuinely given me a reason to not be so burnt out (because all I've done is try to grind Coyote/Dragon or Inmost/Verity)
I use caliban for first perk because it goes crazy with needle. Run some perks that give you grenade energy from melee and it’s much more powerful, especially since shield crush will already give needle back extremely fast if you catch it. Zaouli bane also gives gpg fast with its god roll.
This build worked great for me. I completed a Master lost sector (2040) being 31 levels below it (2009). Was able to stun the Barrier/Overload champions with ease.
I am so grateful for the amazing video, I find it very hard to understand all the builds and perks but thankfully there are people like you who make it so clear and easy to understand. 🙏
You didn't mention it (or I missed it), but the Shuriken is also a good backup answer to Overloads if your Arc grenade is on cooldown or you have Gunpowder Gamble active. GPG is also an answer to Unstoppables so if your Shurikens are gone but you have GPG ready, you can cover for it too. Redundancy is important in a build, so good job.
you shrugged at what is literally the #1 best hunter roll for end game pve content lol. it’s very versatile and strong. can be used with gunpowder gambler builds like this one. classic stylish executioner ranged builds (see mactics latest vid). it’s the best roll for combination blow in gm equivalent content as well (try it) literally most playstyles minus boss dps or super spam this is the one you want
I’ve finally strayed away from celestial nighthawk goldy. Been running this for a week and wow is it a blast Thanks for the thorough explanations in your vid’s, man Keep up the hard work bro
I just tried this build and it's very good, luckily all that farming for class items I've done netted me this exact roll. It's a ton of fun and I like how flexible the super is.
I was waiting for someone to make a video on this. I use the exact same build and this build just wrecks everything. It’s pretty good to play with stasis super so you can get frost armor as well. You can be a super tank.
Based on your fragment choice, if you have an indebted kindness with voltshot, it will stun both unstoppable and overload champions. This is an awesome setup!
New old player returning to destiny. I have been playing something similar but I will say your explanations and graphics are a tier about anything else I have consumed so far.
Hoil + Crytarachne is an insane combo. Although Threaded Spike is stronger (hits harder, bounces more, severs, refunds melee energy), Withering Blade is better because of 2 charges & there’s less micro managing while in Transcendence.
Try this exact same set up, but instead of HOIL+Cyrtarachne, use HOIL+Verity. You trade survivability for lethality, but Verity boosted Gunpowder Gamble does so much damage.
I just started using this build and I have a grenade about every 5-10 seconds. That jolting nade fills ups the prismatic bar crazy fast. I need to get that grenade launcher craftable, only need 2 more!
Threaded Spike is better than Withering Blade because it reduces outgoing enemy damage with sever and, most importantly, it creates a Tangle and **Tangle kills count as an ability kill towards GPG**. You can also get slow/freeze from perks like chill clip if you really want it.
Spirit of Verity's is also insane, it boosts the GPG's dammage insanely i have seen one do 100k dammage. And the Spirit of verity boosts is based on the equiped granade so its open to whatever weapon you like running.
I’ve seen many versions of this build now as an anti-CB-playstyle, but ALL of them except this one is missing amplified, one of the easiest and best Dmg res this season.
Non-Denoument, the bow from Salvations Edge, is an amazing arc weapon. I managed to craft mine after just one run (I got insanely lucky with my drops..!) and I absolutely love it. Archers Tempo and Voltshot is just insane on a bow.
You uploaded this build to Mobylitics on my birthday (July 10th) and I’ve been looking for a go to hunter Prismatic build. I do just so happen to have this exact class item. My only question is, is there any fragment that has wiggle room? I love facet of purpose to get overshield or restoration for more survivability. Do you find you don’t need this in GM’s and tougher content?
Awsome build! Ill take it as my current main 👌 I guess ill try travelers choosen with this. Sounds like itll feed great into the grenade mechanic and with catalyst it gives a decent arc primary to support my weak indebted kindness roll 👌
Just came from your 26 must have weapons video and had all of the rolls, now I find out I have a Spirit of the Cyrtarachne + Spirit of Inmost Light relativism just sitting in my inventory. Idk I got excited that I didn't have to do any work.
I like how u position this like those university teaching class! esp the tether cabal section, right like a classroom stuff! got a sub from me! Made me chuckle 🤣
Im just now seeing this video, it's from 2mos ago. Does it still hold up after the nerfs and buffs we've received since posting this? I have a few different rolls on my class item that would not only mimic this build, but add explosions on grenade/melee kills increasing aoe and adding scorch
I run a build that perfectly mimics what you're doing here although I'm using Mothkeeper's wraps rather than a class item (I still have arcbolt underneath to be able to become amplified) but I really think people sleep on how powerful the moths are. With facet of dominance they can also jolt and deal with overloads, but they also blind intrinsically which stuns unstoppable champs and blind is just nice utility in general. Then theres the fact that with Mothkeeper's, you get 2 grenade charges which pairs nicely with having 2 melees since I also run the shurikens which also deal with champs but right there you have 4 ability charges that can all deal with champs. Furthermore, you also spawn void moths that give you a void overshield but just to take it a step further, I also run facet of mending which makes the moths also cure you which has actually come in clutch so many times and the explosion damage of the moths is nothing to scoff at and will easily secure kills more reliably than arcbolt. (2 arc moths deal about the same damage as a rocket launcher shot). When I'm not doing content that has champions, I run smoke bomb over shurikens. As for my aspects, I'm also using gunpowder gamble but I'm undecided on the second aspect slot. Threaded Specter is literally my favorite aspect of them all and would grant a 6th fragment slot with gunpowder but in this build specifically, you're proccing so many debuffs with all of your ability charges it almost feels like a crime to not run stylish executioner. That being said, I also use the fragment that makes grenade/melee kills grant volatile/unraveling rounds and use void and strand weapons (Like Imminence/Buried Bloodline or The Call/Graviton Lance) which also feeds into stylish executioner as both the moths and gunpowder proc that fragment) so once again, it feels a little criminal not using stylish executioner when literally everything in your kit is debuffing enemies even though I'd rather use specter. Im still messing around with them though to see what I'll settle on. I feel like this build is equally as powerful as the class item version depending on what you're willing to lose and gain. Moths make up for losing cyrtarachne by giving you void overshield and also curing you when you get a kill and you're also gaining both more grenade lethality and utility in exchange for losing the second class item perk. On the flip side, that second class item perk can make alot of difference in the build because I do also have a class item version of this build with galanor/cyrtachne and always getting half of my silence and Squall back is satisfying in the sense that it enables your super to be a consistent part of the build, especially in content with champions because silence and Squall also shuts down all 3 champions so being able to use it in damn near every room feels good
the only Caliban’s roll I have is Caliban / Gyrfalcon’s lol. two great perks that are shit together hahaha. it’s alright but I’m definitely locked in to a specific weapon loadout, which I don’t like.
Looking forward to use this build, but with a little change. It's just personal preference, I like invisibility. I'd use stylish executioner to go invisible everytime something with a debuff is defeated. Pairing it with the new arc bow from the new raid, since can roll with Voltshot. Feels like a legendary Trinity Ghoul. And to make it even better; the jolt from Voltshot also counts as ability kills and feeds onto Gunpowder Gamble!
Just got this class item combo today... guess I know what I'm doing. I missed GPG. Another great arc primary option would be the Savation's Edge bow with Voltshot.

You're the best, Castle!
Yes! I have this combo already. Thanks Castle!
i respect so much how indepth you make these guids wow
Verity is also a good secondary perk to have since weapon just needs to match the normal grenade and also buffs GPG
Been rocking this build for gms for a few weeks. Swapped to duskfield almost immediately, may go back to arcbolt for amp
Commenting to support you! Thank you for the awesome content!
what an excellent review and build!
This was my first roll. Glad I didn't delete it.
Thank you for this, I really appreciate it.
Subbed! This looks like a build that works with my play style!
I learned a lot from this video. I’m subscribed.
Non-Denoument, the bow from Salvations Edge, is an amazing arc weapon. I managed to craft mine after just one run (I got insanely lucky with my drops..!) and I absolutely love it. Archers Tempo and Voltshot is just insane on a bow.
One run more than most of us!
Great video! Love the images too. Sub earned!
Awsome build! Ill take it as my current main 👌
I guess ill try travelers choosen with this. Sounds like itll feed great into the grenade mechanic and with catalyst it gives a decent arc primary to support my weak indebted kindness roll 👌
Love the vid made it easy to understand thanks my guy
Just came from your 26 must have weapons video and had all of the rolls, now I find out I have a Spirit of the Cyrtarachne + Spirit of Inmost Light relativism just sitting in my inventory. Idk I got excited that I didn't have to do any work.
Great video, love the content! I’m fairly new to this and your explanations are really helpful 😁💪🏻
Never knew explosive payload decreases OL champ stun time, love the little fun facts in the vid keep it up man
“Who wants to pick a fight with a guy that punches metal…for fun?” Typa vibes
Amplified gives +50 mobility as well. If you are playing around getting/maintaining amplified then you can allocate those stats & mod elsewhere.
I love the visuals!
I like how u position this like those university teaching class! esp the tether cabal section, right like a classroom stuff! got a sub from me! Made me chuckle 🤣
haha thank you!!
Your build vids are so excellent! Thanks.
thank you!
I got this exact roll on my first dual on my hunter
On the flip side, that second class item perk can make alot of difference in the build because I do also have a class item version of this build with galanor/cyrtachne and always getting half of my silence and Squall back is satisfying in the sense that it enables your super to be a consistent part of the build, especially in content with champions because silence and Squall also shuts down all 3 champions so being able to use it in damn near every room feels good
check out a top 5 hunters build vid I made back in November and you'll see a special build in there (may or may not include mothkeepers lol)
the only Caliban’s roll I have is Caliban / Gyrfalcon’s lol. two great perks that are shit together hahaha. it’s alright but I’m definitely locked in to a specific weapon loadout, which I don’t like.
I was thinking same like my invis
Just got this class item combo today... guess I know what I'm doing. I missed GPG. Another great arc primary option would be the Savation's Edge bow with Voltshot.
I've been running this but I have calabans in the first slot and using threaded spike makes it pretty fun
Castle, I ran this setup with galanor instead of inmost and it’s dope. Lots is survivability and tons of supers
ya that's legit my #2 version, it's great
would thunderlord or risrunner work ? dont have good ark pistols
