The subtle addition of the neon worm going around the exotic armor piece in the corner representing the time you are talking about that build is some creativeness I've never seen anywhere before. And one endscreen at the end for us to pause on... this is one of the most well thought out presentations for consumption that should be followed for any game...
These last couple build videos have been really cool. I like how you explain D2 jargon and make it approachable for more casual players - which has made it perfect for me to share with my friends who don’t play D2 often. I hope there’s a hunter video coming!
I am blown away at the depth you took us to in such a short time!! Thank you for this!! You’re a life saver!!! Exactly what I was looking for this season!!
First time finding this guide and gotta say well done, you were straight to the point, no bull filler, not trying to drag it out, talk about "how it use to be" - just a no nonsense guide on how to play it, and what it does. keep up the great work!

I know pre-nerf starfire protocol was busted af, but I do miss it. Was so much fun killing everything with fusion nades + ashes to assets to spam well and then having some of the most fun dps rotations in the game. Glad it's gone for balance reasons but man was it fun
for the second build with Verity, I'd recommend the magnetic grenade with chaos accelerant over the scatter. Handheld supernova does ridiculous damage to the point that you can one hit a barrier champ before they even have the chance to pop their shield
I always see titan/hunter content on UA-cam. Great to see in depth content for Warlocks! As a solo player I'll definitely be putting your builds to use
Dont really need a build for those, done hundreds for new exotic farm. Just have wishender: it is antibarrier, minor and elite killer, solar void arc strand stasis shield breaker. The only possible problem you will face is either unstop/overloads. You can use peak tactics to stay alive. Wishender is a legit busted exotic weapon.
Excellent video. As a Hunter main who also likes to dabble in eating crayons and wearing dresses I appreciate the ideas for classes so I can try out new things. You earned my sub today.
I have like, 3000 hours on this game, i still watch build videos just for entertainment but they usually talk about builds ive already used. This video gave me like, 4 or 5 that sounded super fun! Love the video man.
One of my favorite builds for Warlock is Solar+Sunbracers. It can be a bit difficult to get working in end game content but it always does a TON of damage.
Hugeeeeee tip for the first build with controverse hold. You want witherhoard. And a void smg or auto rifle and void machine gun. So once you trigger devour witherhoard just keeps it going in pve. Well instead of the devour on orb pick up you want the one that grants your void weapons volatile rounds. Also your other fragments should be the weaken grenade the increased duration for lingering effects this makes your contraverse hold grenades into mini nova bombs and the other two fragments should be the enemies explode when killed by void abilities and the one that grants you an overshield on kills when your health is low. This turns you into a tank that has extremely great team support via weaken and damage via volatile rounds and your grenades. This has been my main build for the passed year and change. I'm sorry I don't remember the echo named fragments specifically
Been maining Controverse Hold build for like a two years now and am still not tired of it! lol.. You can guarantee at least 50 orbs generated no matter the event (sometimes triple digit orbs depending on the enemy concentration)
Love this content Castle! So sorry a bug messed up the release. Fantastic content :) Note, if you run an osmosis primary with the Void builds- grenade throws turn your primary void and it will proc volatile rounds on your primary as well as wave splitter, so much fun shredding with all your weapons being volatile! Not to mention anything with destabilizing rounds on top of that! Fireworks! Thanks!
I used to use a void build with Verity's Brow, Unforgiven with demo + repulsor brace, and the old charged with light system/elemental well system. Grenade kills make a void well, picking one up gives me two stacks of charged with light, three stacks of firepower gives me like 60% of my grenade back. Toss in devour and volatile rounds and it was so much fun. Too bad it never mattered because I was always forced onto Well...
Should have 1 well and one Veritys. Healing and kinetic damage boosting, and grenade energy for the team. I think Veritys is severely underated as a tool for teams
For the 7th build, Phoenix Protocol. I suggest two exotics you try out for fun. First is, Ticcus Divination. Ticcus is a hard hitting bow, especially with the Catalyst. Upon Detonation, any target hit with the explosion, will also explode if they have the Sacred Flame debuff. This means you can chain explosion. Furthermore, any target killed with the Explosion are counted as Weapon kills, so upon death, they will also ignite. This means that if you hit a major, but don’t kill him, and instead, you kill the adds near him, those very same adds will then ignite and explode, killing the major. So not only do you chain explosions, but targets killed by those chained explosions then explode again doing high damage and spreading scorch. By this point, your already ready to fire your next two shots, and get more kills, causing more ignitions, spreading more Scorch witch may cause ignitions if you further scorch the target. Another exotic to try does not have the pure devastation that Ticcus can unleash upon an army, but it still feels like a carpet bomb. This exotic is Eyes of Tomorrow. Eyes of Tomorrow allow you to fire off 6 rockets, all of witch can independently hit a different target, causing the blast radius to be much larger than a traditional rocket. Furthermore, if all 6 of these rockets hit, they will reload the launcher to full mag and give you a damage bonus. The only downside to this method is that you sacrifice damage and the ammo economy for Eyes is not great. A non issue in team activities where your teammates may run cenotaph or Aeons. you could play support with div too.
I made a stupid build last night using Vesper of Radious on Well of Radiance. Adding that stun to our wells while bosses trying to stomp on us is hilarious and fun
Nothing you have done hasn't been done before however the quality of the content you put in your video made me subscribe so polished and explained so well very well done my friend look forward to watching your other videos.
I might get back to destiny since my girl has been wanting to play. These vids are awesome and helpful for a returning player like me since idk what the meda/ builds are nowadays
For the 7th Build, a heavy exotic suggestion would be Eyes of Tomorrow. Hitting enough enemies refunds ammo, so it is a god tier weapon to carry around if you need a mix of damage and add clear
I am a warlock player who actually likes playing well and being a support player and have been playing for years. This being said, I was today years old when I learned ember of combustion ignites enemies with solar weapon kills inside well
Note about spark of beacons, only affects arc special (not heavy) weapon kills, not all arc weapons. Last season had an artifact perk that made explosions while amplified for all arc weapons but they don’t blind like the spark does. Also stasis shards don’t give grenade energy. You only get improved grenade recharge from shattering crystals with whisper of shards, which you’re also using, but important to note the distinction between the two. Headstone weapons sound really appealing with this if you like spamming nades Love the video tho, very well put together and I’m totally using the strand and stasis builds (once rng stops giving me karnsteins and starfires)
As a phoenix protocol user, i really wish more well users would use it, some of the most fun nightfalls ive done where we just chain wells the whole strike
@CastleContent it really is, it single handedly got me through Legend Seraph Shield runs and became my go to exotic for high end content, especially when soloing
Honestly, just run sunbracers with ashes to assets for well lock, how the whole thing works is eat a grenade for heat rises, then u float and pop ur melee, after killing anything, u have 5 seconds of infinite grenade, then u spam that thing at adds while u r airborne, then u get ur melee back when u finish the infinite grenade cuz heat rises gives melee energy for each kill when airborne. With ashes to assets, u can get well in like 10 seconds if u have enough adds to kill. Make sure to also run firepower for extra orbs so u get even more ult charge
Have a build with VoR alongside nez whisper. It's legit the most fun and consistent build for me. It's also very aggressive for solo play. It also teaches you a lot more about positioning in harder content.
Vesper is so great on stasis tho,,, run into a group of adds, use rift, everything gets frozen, then zapped, which shatters them automatically. Everything dies. You have your rift back almost every time if you ran into a big enough group of enemies,
Also for the void contraverse build I think undermining expulsion remenatn and instability. BUT if you want you can use the fragement child of the gods and use undermining harvest expulsion and presitence this is just my opinion
I can’t believe, especially regarding this season’s champion mods, that fallen sun star with trinity ghoul isn’t here. I had the fragment that makes ignitions on my hunter since solar 3.0 launch and somehow, as a warlock main, I just assumed that fragment didn't work with wells for some reason and I just didn't put more thought into it afterwards. lol
