This came up in my feed, puurfect timing! Loved it, so inspired. At just turning 60, I just started weight training and eating high protein, veg, fats, complex carbs and walking, gave up refined sugar, wheat and dairy (necessary for me). This is the year to get my fit back. Alicia so inspiring. Thanks a million.
This came across my feed. Loved it! Even better the added part about hormones cuz I’m gonna b 57 in January n have been struggling a bit. Mostly the bloating😲Definitely finding a functional dr! I hit the weights 4x’s a week but really need to focus on getting my lean proteins in! U two are great! Will b subscribing n found u on TikTok too n followed! Happy New Year 🎊🎆💪🏼🦵🏼
I do love to do a boot camp twice a week just for fun BUT do you think that it will take away from the strength training?? I’m thinking it will take away from the rest needed. FYI I’m 60😅
This is all great, however for a neurodivergent individual, this approach of just-push-yourself doesn't work in gym environments where sensory overload is a real thing. So, since a brain can't be trained to be more neurotypical, do you have planned or have had any guests who understand the diversity factor and have other methods to utilize?
I’m also sensitive to crowds and distractions. We have a very small anytime fitness in a strip mall that doesn’t get much traffic. I worked out around dinner 4-5 when people were less likely to go. I had the whole weight room to myself since everyone who did come to that location at that time only used the treadmills. Also good noise canceling headphones playing your favorite music and focusing on your own movements helps.
I would recommend setting up a home gym. It doesn’t have to be big or expensive. I have free weights, a jump rope, resistance bands, and a pull-up bar.

Go to a quiet gym with less ppl, or at a time when it’s empty. Makes a world of difference
