Canadian - 1982 from the LP "Kilowatt" with former Guess Who Alumnus-Greg Leskiw, Bill Wallace & Along with Steve Hegyi on guitar and drummer Bob Brett
Great Band and Song, I moved from Alabama to North Dakota in 1981. CityFM 92.5 in Winnipeg Manitoba introduced me to Canadian Rock. I was a young musician at the time and boy did it open my ears to some great music.
Saw them around '82 or '83 playing at the Sandman Inn in Lethbridge...great live band! Saw the Headpins the night before in Calgary...then, at the Sandman while listening to Kilowatt, in walks the Headpins and sits right behind us! Great night!
had a record store I used to visit. found this tape and said meh , what the hell.....use to grab random albums to check out. cheap enough...This one I def kept!!!!so glad I can listen to most of the album again one you tube
love this song wow why was it not released ....great harmonies ...thanks for posting this ...any more Canadian bands please post I am in south africa .love canadian music is the best
They were a ok band with an average sound with a couple songs that did alright in Winnipeg just like all their combined early works with Mood Jga Jga, Les Q,Crowcuss, Brother and so on. Never achieved the status of The Guess Who , BTO, Neil Young or even Chantel. All ok...but shy of great Ian.

Winnipeg had such great Bands
I have literally had the chorus of this song in my head for 35 years. Now my life feels complete. Seriously.
Love Kilowatt...saw them at the Zoo many times
Me too!!
As well, they were great
Why can't I find Kilowatt on UA-cam music or on Spotify. .
Love hearing this again .
Would love to hear Shady Lamour too...

Ben Kennedy there are many good bands from Winnipeg
It was released in Canada only , probably because it was not given worldwide release because of no radio play worldwide.
Love this song! I can’t find it on Apple Music or iTunes or spotify - how do I add this to my music lineup?!
great
Finally ... Been listening to the demo for a while ... Such a cool tune!!!
Whatever happened to this band?
this song got decent airplay on cirk fm (edm) when it came out ... although now i remember why i didn't like it ! haha, it took a while to grow on me
is that Leskiw on lead vocal?
pretty sure it is.
Problem with Kilowatt on the east coast of Canada this was the only song that got radio airplay, don't know about the west coast
Donnie McDougall was never in Kilowatt. I was the guitarist.....a little research?
+Steve Hegyi -------no shit. Bob Brett on drums too. This band was a personal favorite of mine back then. The music holds up to this day.
+Steve Hegyi - Can I get this on CD anywhere
Steve Hegyi great band!

Commercial success doesn't equate with quality necessarily.
