- It is time for Henry to use his ungodly wealth for a vanity project for himself. Time to build an entire village out of his own pocket book, only for Sir Divish to take it back in a few years.
What a deal...
But while Henry has the village there is no problem in "adding" a few life luxuries to the place.
What is this DLC? Kingdom Come Deliverance from the Ashes?
Bah if you're curious to build the perfect village (2000 groschen income achievement)
You only need...
woodcutter, bridge, trader, stables, forge, tavern, BEES!!!, upgraded saddler, upgrade forge (swordsmith) and for you to buy your goods from Talmberg, Samposesh, and Charcoal burners with Ginger bonus. Roughly cost me 40k to get that achievement.
Quite easy and yet annoying to have to listen to "Ready to build" over and over again.
Henry needs a break.
I bought chips today, came back home, exhausted. Talked to mom's friends that came over, prepared stuff for school tomorrow. Layed down, saw that the next episode of Hardcore Henry is out.
Life is perfect. I'm in the good old days.

I lent the game to my friend and he's on his third playthrough. He failed "From The Ashes" twice and decided to start anew, grinding every Groshen he can.
I'm glad the game grabbed him by the balls like that.
lol same here! Hardcore mode has made me learn the map quite a bit.
I still have the "longer" travel paths to go to certain places otherwise I will get lost, so I am not completely 100% on the map.
And the prison is 100% needed for any successful village ;)

The return of the Cuman Philosopher brought a smile to my face.
There is still the cuman philosopher in the Inn and Glade, this is just an off-shot. The cumans were known to be great philosophers :P
But I could not have a tavern without someone preaching philosophy for the patrons.

You would think after awhile that every man, woman, and child was armed to the hilt after the amount of things Henry sold to the Merchants :P
@@helicalgoose Easy. The bandits buy them, you kill the bandits, you take it sell it, it gets repurposed for the new bandits. It's a circular economy its amazing! The real question is why anyone would still become a professional bandit when hundreds have been killed by Henry in that region.
I love it when Henry introduces himself and then you add every other clip of him introducing himself and then nightingale.
Ah, its absolutely fantastic.
No idea why I started doing that sort of skit, but it just works so well for this game. Hearing Nightingale introduce himself makes the little drunk Bohemian man inside my head giggle with glee.

@@helicalgoose The secret is that KCD inventories are magical and shrink down items and gold to 1:720 of the original size which explains how Henry can steal and pack up dozens of full plate armors small enough to walk straight past the guards.

Ah I completely forgotten about that! But yes, Judge Henry is the perfect officer of the law. Well he makes up his own laws :P

If we take the Tournousgroschen as the same as a Groschen here (Same weight, pure silver) you just put 1 Million Euro in that chest or 560 kilo of pure Silver. No wonder the Guy says "WHAT?!"

Love the video! I'm not sure if you know this already or not, but I found Henry's beta dice! It's in Skalitz (before it was burned down so, first mission)
And it's in the Easy locked chest in Henry's house! In the room where they store the food. Of course you'll need lockpicks for it but if anyone is a collector in this game, then there is a one of a kind dice for you 😊
100% I have seen that dice before and I always forget about that dice since using those dice once lost me a bunch of groschen, so I never forgave them!
Those dice can burn with Skalitz!
Henry is showing how much of a good samaritan he can be when not out murdering! Well, there was a little bit of murder, but charcoal burners don’t really count, do they?

It is a shame though that the NPCs from the village do not stay in the "dungeon" but they get teleported out after awhile. No idea what causes that :(

If Henry offers you a job or have a place for you to live, it is best to politely but firmly tell him, "no". Otherwise you might end up in the "private dungeon" for awhile.

Henry has every reason to feel like a chump as he starts paying for the rebuild of the hamlet and the dubious honor of bailiff. But he does get all his groschen back plus dividends. 2k per day on Henry Time is a gift that keeps on giving. What I can't figure out is why I did not get the achievement for completing the rebuild. My Henry had enough coin on hand to complete the work before he started so there were not any lengthy interruptions.
My guess is that did you talk to Sir Divish and did he give you the pat on the back sort of cutscene?
If not, that might be the problem.
I want to say that is how I got the achievement after everything was built. Henry had to go through a cutscene saying all the things he paid for :P
If Henry gets the proceeds for Pribyslavitz for 5 years, and the village nets 1800 Groschen per day, by the end he should have well over 3 million Groschen (even removing the ~100k he puts in). So a pretty good deal I think!
Though he does have to work as the bailiff. And the Talmberg huntsman. And whatever else he gets up to. Busy guy!
Yes, but if I remember correctly during the Bailiff speech in Rattay.
He was saying anyone that joined Pribyslavitz would not be taxed for x amount of time, which sort of counters any profit that Henry gains lol
So I always wondered where the money comes from if no one is supposed to be taxed?

Anyways for me the best part of the whole DLC were the church frescoes and altar. They tell Henry's story and it was so cool to see. 🤍

Honestly From the Ashes DLC is the most disappointing one for KCD and one of the toughest to make a video about it, since the building is sooo mundane :(
@@helicalgoose true but for roleplaying purposese it's my favorite. I like hunting and drying the meats, picking herbs from the garden and brewing my own stuff, judging people. Taking a walk around, maybe gambling even tho I have gajillions of gröschen lmao
After defeating Runt, Henry becomes the new tyrant of Pribyslavitz with secret dungeons and cuman philosophers on his side
Henry is trying to show Runt how to really run a bandit empire.
Also, I really wanted the horses to stick around on the church to be my sentries but it just did not work out. Spent soooo long trying to mess with that, but the game kept shoving them off, so I am sad about that, but Henry and his private dungeon is good enough ;)

Would've liked if there was more to pribyslavitz than just building it and solving civil disputes.... should've made it possible to build both guardhouse and stables so that you're guaranteed to have more guards, and you get events like a band of cumans or bandits attacking your village, maybe even having a boss battle that happens right after you finish building everything where a gang of bandits that outnumbers your guard count attack, and the battle highly depends on your help to prevent the village's destruction, and if it gets destroyed you lose the title of Bailiff and pribyslavitz becomes a ruin again.
I think what you said is nearly exactly how I feel.
The whole building of the village seemed empty, there wasn't a point to most of it. I mean the stables gives you new horse armor, plus a faster horse.
The blacksmith a new weapon or armor depending.
The guard house gave you more guards to practice against?
I mean if it wasn't for the bailiff duties at the village [little cutscenes to decide upon] I mean what was the point.
Like you said, no bandits bosses to come, no other real problems or story driven area, or no real lasting effect on the map/area as a whole.
Disappointing, when the whole story was far more detailed at areas, where this one felt just slapped together or rushed.
But I always have to be careful since I don't know what it takes to build such a DLC maybe its just hard/restrictive to do such a thing, but overall potential was there but didn't get applied which sucked the fun out of it, not unless you import your own Cuman guards there ;)

I absolutely love the Charlatan's hood and his secondary robe setup after you complete the DLC quest.
I know there is a black hooded robe from priests, but I do tend to like the brown one better, it sort of fits Henry's personality :D
When I get bored on From the Ashes I poison all the pots in Pribyslavitz like Chef Henry or I just full on murder everyone
Yeah. On my first playthrough, I repeatedly murdered all the townfolk. Pissed everyone off so much I could never trigger the 'judging' scenes so I started over a bit nicer and then it worked.
I feel like every village feels the wrath of Henry once a playthrough.
All it takes is one villager not giving Henry the proper greeting to set him off!

Someday! It is nice to have a slow growth to get to know all the people in the community better at same time learn how to make better videos for you all.
Sad to say, Pribyslavitz is still abandoned to this day.
Henry can pay to build things, but I don't think he was a good bailiff, especially after he left the town in charge to the cuman council.
Maybe that had something to do with it.

There is a village in Croatia called Pribislavec and i live right next to it :)
Maybe that is where Henry built his perfect village at and saying it was in Bohemia was all a ruse! :P

At the beginning of the game, you really have a hard time earning money, but in mid game, you very quickly get so much, there is nothing to spend it on anymore, which is kind of demotivting..

Honestly, this DLC is really disappointing because there is very little customization allowed in the village, and all it really does for you at best, is give you a better horse and some good beer. The money income is useless since you already plopped 100k into the place. Meaning you're a god of money making already.
I wish there was more customization and allowed to expand the village even more and really make the money worthwhile. Like let me build walls, towers, or extra farmland but just make it more expensive as it goes on. But also some more events to the stuff you built, bah pipe dream, but would've made this DLC better.
Also, the simple fix too the voice actor for Sir Divish was really phoning it in on this DLC. No idea why, but it felt sort of blah.
Yeah, paying vast sums of money to rebuild his own town is lame, but then you can make happy time with his wife, so I guess it’s an even trade.

Stables ? Idk, i always build garrison. Just feels so naked and vulnerable out in the woods without large force guarding it.

I think it just makes the village feel more alive. I was disappointed with the DLC because I was hoping for some bandit raids or something attacking the village and the guards would help...but nope :(

The only part that it would be really tough is fighting Runt. You're in a close quarters with a very angry boy, that would be the toughie there :P

How did you spawn those Cumans bro...btw your contents are funny and dark hahaha
The cumans spawned were by-products of the bug when we skipped the starting "Chase" sequence by going around the mill.
When you go back and trigger that "chase" later on, the cumans that are at Rovna are perma spawned there and are passive.
You can smack them and they do nothing. They do not despawn and their corpses do not go away.
This is how the Cuman Philosopher was made ;)
Sooooo all these cuman and villagers were hauled one by one over from Rovna :P
Forgive my ignorance but how did you get the philosopher and councils?
No problem, but the cumans were all from Rovna. (The starting mission where you have to escape from Skalitz and they chase you).
At the start of this series, I skipped that mission by going around the mill and then it did not activate that mission.
Afterward, if you go back to Skalitz and reactivate it, those cumans are all passive! And permanent! So you can knock them out and move them where-ever you like!
Quite good for stage props :D

This is one of the few hooded items in the game. There is another one for the monastery robes (its black).
But honestly, it doesn't have the fun feathers or another attachments like the Charlatan's robe, so its not as fun to wear.
But other than that, I think those are the only two pieces of clothing that have a hood effect.

It was a disappointing experience. Like the ending of the main quest which never ends! But the combat was awesome so there's that.
Also: That hood and armour combo is giving me Dr. Doom vibes.
I honestly wish they had a helm that was sort of Dr. Doom status, but nope, nothing in the game that is cool enough to wear for Henry

Only thing that sucks on this DLC its that its fucnking short. I want at least chcnce to spend all money before epilogue :D Also cools cuman u got in pribyslavits inn, how u get him there? :D
I feel the same sort of.
But really this DLC could've been much much more! It has a small story with some NPCs that just don't do anything worth while. I felt like this could've been a really good DLC, they could've charged double the price for the DLC and pad it since there was a large opportunity to be found there.

I know this is late but how are you wearing a hood? My Henry seems stubborn to never wear his, is it a mod?
Nope, no mods!. This hood as far as I can tell is one of a kind in the game.
The charlatan in Sassu has it on his person. You got to knock him out and take it off his body.
Fantastic piece to wear, though I think it takes up the chainmail slot so you might be more squish in combat, but look good in the field.
The same robe with the hood down does spawn later, which I think looks better, but both are good :D

If you're a person who is after the drip, then I highly suggest looking for the 2nd robe version which happens during the Hans Capon DLC.
Once you go and finish the Reverent quest by the Charlatan he spawns in a robe with the hood down, but still has the fancy feathers. You still have to knock him out for it, but in the name of fashion anything is on the table.
What I like to add to it is the Cuman chest plate you get from the Masquerade quest from Fritz and Matt.
Its a terrible chest piece, but it has more feathers and drip all around. The helmet spawns too which is alright, but I rather have Henry's fancy head around.
You can see that drip in my later video, I think its after episode 20? And the masquerade quest is a bit after that.

Where do I find this armor?
The robe itself is the charlatan outfit/robe.
Knock him out and steal his clothes and put it over your favorite platemail and it looks great!
There is a second version to this robe after you complete the Hans Capon DLC that the Charlatan has. You can see Henry wearing it later on in this playthrough, it doesn't have the hood, but keeps the brown robe with feathers, it looks pretty good :D

Charlatan's robe (Got to knock him out and steal his clothes) with a plate mail armor of your choice. The arms and legs only.
The chest piece covers over the robe, so its a dangerous set of gear to wear.
You can wear the chain mail neck or not, both look good ;)

Its a great look or I at least like it :P
But it is the charlatan outfit as chest piece with platemail arms and legs.
Also chain-mail neck, most of them do not cover up the beads, which I prefer to show out that necklace the chestpiece has.

There is a second set too, same chest robe outfit, but without the hood that you can get from the Charlatan, which you can see in the previous video.
But you can steal it off the Charlatan after you complete the DLC quest for the Musk of Infinite allure. 100% well worth knocking him out for it. Comes with the same beads, and matches nicely with the cuman armor from the quest "Masquerades"

@@peterjp4 Haha, I was no where near the total eclipse "best path", but it I could still see half the sun get blocked out if you use the little dark glasses to see the sun.

No mods! And no command console sort of trick! :D
When I skipped the "chase" scene all the way at the start of the game, it did not trigger spawning all the cumans to attack Henry.
But the trigger to spawn those cumans was still there so I went back to Skalitz and triggered it again, but this time other than the three riders, all the cumans/villagers are passive and stand there forever.
Soooo, all that Henry had to do was trunk them all over one by one...which took a long long time, but I think was worth it to have his own private counsel :P

Its alright. I honestly do not know if there are any building mods in this game, which is actually surprising.
I know people made castles and such but I don't think anything like the DLC.

I have played it a bit. Been trying to get into the game, but have not found a solid chunk of time to get really into the game.
People keep telling me how good the game is, but I am still trying with the controls. I need to put in 20 hours before I say that I have "played it" :P
