Yeah, unfortunately they missed an opportunity here by not including bandit problems with Pribyslavitz. So yes, in game the only real differences are what items you unlock, ie the horses or the new bow, and the small revenue difference.
I'd say the Stables are the best bet since the "best bow" isn't really all that great, the draw time is ridiculously long, the actual highest DPS bow in the game is the Cuman bow, its the 4th highest in damage but has a faster draw speed than the 3 above it so it can pump out more arrows which is great for horseback archery when kiting out multiple enemies, it's also less of a loss when you miss a shot since you don't need 12 seconds to re-draw it. If you're gonna do the stables then do the armor-smith too, they go together, and armor-smiths accept more sales than weapon smiths. After you kill some cumans or bandits most people will strip their most valuable gear, and some chain chausses and a noble coif will sell for the same as about 10 swords but they weigh way less. You'll get more money and usefulness out of armorsmith+stable combo, it's no contest really.
I love KCD I’m getting the DLCs once my internet is sorted because i love how much of a true RPG it is having to learn skills like reading and writing and how to look after your weapons, clothing and armour
My main problem with the guardhouse is that the walls are so limited. I find it real hard to believe that Sir Divish would be happy with just having his brand new, just rebuilt settlement completely open to attack from basically every direction. So when you build the guardhouse, its kind of like having a gate but no fence on either side of it. However, I also have a problem with the Stables, which is the village is bound to expand in all directions for residential and agricultural development. The problem there is that with where the stables ends up built, its impossible for it to expand. So what would happen realistically is that the Pribyslavit stables would end up being the worst out of the three major stables in the region (The other two being Uzhitz and Neuhof) due to its lacking facilities and grazing land. Narratively and realistically, you should choose the Guardhouse. But if you want more of something to show for your commitment in game then you should build the stables.
Agreed, although as it stands the Hamlet is just that, no other village has walls and the guards do kinda patrol and guard the numerous gaps in the limited walls. I wish we had more options for developtment and could see Divish´s plans to fruition
For the next one could you do a list or re recruitable NPCs and their requirements to unlock them and the best ones to get. Like I picked Vashek from Uhitz to be the stable master but apparently the guy from Nuehoff makes about 10 more in profit
@@Dare_To_Game You can! With Mods of course, just go to Tables/items/clothing_presets and copy that and rename it to clothing_presets__(modname) You have to do a little bit of digging through the files to find the NPC IDs and Items, but items are easy as you can find their ids through the wiki, as for the npcs, install the Cheat Mod, press f4 to a certain npc, and you will be able to find their file name through console. Just go to soul.xml located in Tables/rpg/soul.xml, and find that soul_name, just scroll to the left, and you will find their clothing presets and you can edit them, through the modded file in your mod tho.
well after watching all 3... I think I know which combo I'm building. I was really high on building the armor and guard because with the armor I feel like armor is better when it comes to selling but having the Tusk Sword and the new Bow...I don't think I can pass that up...especially the sword
@@Dare_To_Game it only does 50 damage while the herod is 75 and the stinger does 79 pierce damage which is a shortsword, so I goes well with the shield. The bow is nice but I find having a horse with much better stats better, 550 carryweight with 50 speed is pretty good. If you have good arrows the 74 damage bow is fine.
I think these are great. I would also like to see you put together a video showing which mods you use or recommend if you do. I notice some other youtubers use a 3rd person mod for example.
Its not a big deal but just to let you konw non of the caparisons are new as far as i know, i saw all of them in other stables of the vanilla game too, i am not shure about one of the caparisons without horese head but i am 70 % shure that i saw both of them in other stables too. And also where do you get those 2 shields with crest you had in your inventory from? all shields with crests i found so far were the same sice than regular heavy shields and this 2 look like they are a bit bigger from the icon. The wiki says that those are melee weapons but it does not say where to get them. thank you very much. :)
I've addressed both of those topics in two more videos that will be coming out soon, as far as the caprarisons are concerned, i thought they all looked new, but it is possible that i am mistaken.
Spectre2013 Yeah you are correct, none of those capirsons are new. However the horse head armor is new (except the one in the bird's nest). EDIT: Actually I am mistaken, some of the capirsons are new, others are not.
Bigbuck AfricaVEVO I don't think that any of the caparisons are new, I just went to all 3 main game stables and bought all of them at each of them with a character which has not attacked privislaviz yet and from the inventory icons it looks like each and every of them we saw in the video are buyable in those 3 stables. :)
Well ive got a video coming up that showcases all of them from this stable, and i said in the video that they were all new, so i hope at least some of them were new, they looked different than the ones i had seen before.
roleplaywise a guardhouse is more fitting since there are already stables in Uschitze, Neuhof and Merhojed which are all close together up there. Also the town is surrounded by woods so yeah. same goes for the baker/butcher. A bakery in the middle of the woods with no surrounding farms... i don't know.
Every medieval village of some importance had a baker, since ovens were communal and an integral part of the community in medieval Europe (women would go together meet the baker's wife to bake the pies (more like portable meals than modern pies) for the men before fieldword, then the baker would start bread production). You could justify small stables as there is a tavern, turning the village into a major halt for travellers, especially with a church, but yeah, not really a big horse rearing industry. Armorsmith and swordsmith make the least sense tho. No competent blacksmith would have been wasting their talent in the middle of nowhere (it's even an entire thing mentionned by people about Henry's father, how such a talented guy usually isn't seen in villages like that, and Skallitz is way more sizeable than the dlc village).
@@k.v.7681 you are right about the smith however if you pay attention you notice that the most important customer in the region is henry himself so wherever he is is where the best Smith wants to be.
More than just the items you can get from guard house, the guard house combat also allows you to do training. You can set the skill level of the sparring partner, you can set the armour level, as well as what weapons. It is like a upgraded, more customisable version of Captain Bernard's training.
I bought Shadowfax, with the right equipment you can make him carry more than 300 something. Him and shadowmere are equal when it comes to Stamina and one other thing. You can steal the other equipment tho .. no need to pay lol. Like I stole some stuff but put other stuff in their place, so I dont lose income or something. Keep in mind, if you are choosing to build the guard house because its for defense, you're not getting attacked or anything like that. So its better to go with stables for more income.
Id pick stables. They bring in more income than the guardhouse, give you access to some unique wearable stuff for your horse, and produce the best horses in the game.
I know this video is 4 years old but it looks like you still play. I was really excited to build the stables for Shadowmere, to upgrade from Bayard. But in my game, Shadowmere has light brown hair same as Agro. But in my inventory screen, he has the black hair. Kind of disappointing since I want an all black horse. In your video, it looks like Shadowmere has black or very dark brown hair. Can you confirm this or is mine glitched or something? Thanks!
The last time i played, Shadowmere was Black. But it's possible that they updated it since i last finished From the Ashes. I'll have to check again when i get to that DLC in my current playthrough.
It kind of kills me that even with the addition of new horses and new horse gear, that the devs didn't add full body horse armor to the game even though the slot for it exists on the horse menu. It's MADDNING because I REALLY wanted a full-blown war horse for my Henry. (Also, I hate that there's the suggestion that Mutt can have armor...but that too seems to be fictitious.)
Hands down...the Guardhouse. That is mainly because of the Sinew bow at 82 power compared to Yew longbow at 77 power. A guardhouse gives the village more security while the stable offers no appreciable functionality to the townfolk. The horses are of no use to my Henry who still rides Pebbles. There are mods that will upgrade almost any horse you can own to the best horse stats in game. It was not about the groschen me. It seemed ungrateful to discard Pebbles or trade her in like a beat up used car just to get that new horse smell. If Henry can upgrade his skills why shouldn't his horse have that same opportunity? The horse tack is less important than the bow. Pebbles already has good tack and never runs out of Stamina. Mods gave her a beauty treatment too, no longer drab grey but almost black. She has matching black saddle bags with durability upgraded to 50. The default durability is 1 which is about right for tissue paper but not for leather. And anyway, you can ride only one horse at a time so the stable is pretty but pretty useless.
I built the stables because I didn’t want the guardhouse to catch me stealing yet….why is there only one or the other I definitely wouldn’t have picked the stables if I knew that
The caparisons can be found at the Neuhof stables trader, the only benefit to the stables are the horses and income. The horses are good, but if you get that far you likely have a decent tier 5 already. I'd say a safer village is a better investment.
No. Shadowmere has 42 base speed. Al-Buraq has 39. Less stamina too 410 vs. 490. Believe all you like, it doesn't make it true. The reason Kermit's Shadowmere has 35 speed is that he chose the weight carrying perk. It's 75 vs. 72 if you took the speed perk.
Not true. Shadowmere is better in all categories except courage. And I’ve yet to have shadowmere throw me off. Shadowmere is by far the best in the game this is no secret.
You can already get the shield from kuno’s place on the back of his tent. Also if you get the stables can you rob the stables for a large profit? And can you do the same for guard house?
Determine8R Gaming Buggers. I've build the stables, and now I don't feel that safe with this big forest and all those bandits around... With only 2 Knights in the City. XD
I recommend leveling up your lockpick and sneak and then steal from Alchemist first in Rattay...then work up to stealing all chest from Swordsmith; Armorer; Tailor: Cobbler in Rattay. That gets me good stuff when I go that way and lots of $$$.
I went straight for the guards, because seriously, it's war out there in 1403 Bohemia. I'm not building a new hamlet just to leave it defenseless.

I love KCD I’m getting the DLCs once my internet is sorted because i love how much of a true RPG it is having to learn skills like reading and writing and how to look after your weapons, clothing and armour
you wont be dissapointed but play it on hardmode
Personally I never even equipped a bow after the hunt with Hans Capon quest
I use them a lot.
They are actually very powerful on horseback. Almost feels like cheating because the AI doesn't know how to take cover.
@@ninjaviking1999 it's easier to just fight, it feels even more like cheating
I got the warthog shield thinggy from band of bastards, outside one of the tents lol.
It is easier when fighting with multiple components using bow.
For the next one could you do a list or re recruitable NPCs and their requirements to unlock them and the best ones to get. Like I picked Vashek from Uhitz to be the stable master but apparently the guy from Nuehoff makes about 10 more in profit
Yeah, thats in the works for me, im currently exploring the map and asking just about everyone if they want a job, so its taking a while.
Lol shadowmere is the horse you get in oblivion at the end of the dark brotherhood side story
You get it in Skyrim from the Dark Brotherhood also.
Love these helpful guides. I just recently started from the ashes dlc
Awesome, i hope they prove to be informational, and entertaining as you progress through the story.
Honestly I’m not sure why they decided that you would have such a limited plot of land for choice making I guess?
It's weird since there's so much more space. And why aren't there more civilian houses around?
The boar shield is available whether you have swordsmith or armorsmith. i'd like all the guards to carry it, as it's emblematic of the village.
I wish you could fully customize the guards outfits in Pribyslavitz.
@@Dare_To_Game How about if you knock out the guards and give them some new gear. Do they wear it?
I'd dress them all in the best full plate, the captains would wear full decorated gear.... Twas a glory never witnessed
Just go to soul.xml located in Tables/rpg/soul.xml, and find that soul_name, just scroll to the left, and you will find their clothing presets and you can edit them, through the modded file in your mod tho.
ill pick guard house then for the bow. i already have trojan, shadowmeres fat cousin. dont need the speed anyway XD
Yeah, i do like the sinew bow.
well after watching all 3...
I think I know which combo I'm building. I was really high on building the armor and guard because with the armor I feel like armor is better when it comes to selling but having the Tusk Sword and the new Bow...I don't think I can pass that up...especially the sword
Yeah, The Tusk is actually an awesome Longsword, and obviously the new bow is the most powerful in the game, so i really like having them.
The St. George is still the best sword. Damage of 72 in both slashing and stabbing, making those combo's really put the hurt on.
Went with GH because I love kicking arse in my arena like a straight G (which stands for guy)
I think these are great. I would also like to see you put together a video showing which mods you use or recommend if you do. I notice some other youtubers use a 3rd person mod for example.
Im glad you enjoy them, i will certainly consider your suggestions, i think the third person view mod is awesome.
Determine8R Gaming
Ah, awesome, thank you very much for the information, I am looking forward to those videos. :)
I wish you didn’t have to choose, I love being the lord of a hold that has a thriving military as well as husbandry industry
I also wish there was more freedom than a binary choice with these two.
Good video. I have been undecided on this for a couple of days still not sure what to build.
I like having the guards running around, and i love the new bow, so my personal choice is the guard house.
Im gonna have the guardhouse in my strength play-through for the bow, and the stables for my agile character.
Haha a LOTR, Shadow of the Colossus, and Skyrim reference all in one shot.... Flexing those nerd muscles arent we Warhorse?
They do like to make a lot of references.
I found epona the other day
boxofrox619 Skyrim + oblivion! Maybe earlier ES games idk
Shadowmere is from Oblivion
@@alpharabbit2353 oblivion and skyrim
roleplaywise a guardhouse is more fitting since there are already stables in Uschitze, Neuhof and Merhojed which are all close together up there.
I took guard house because I often am attacked by Cumans or Bandits, so I lead them back to my town and fight with my guards.
The stables are best gameplay-wise, but the barracks are best story-wise.
I got te DLc just for the Bow lol
It is a great weapon.
More than just the items you can get from guard house, the guard house combat also allows you to do training.
You can set the skill level of the sparring partner, you can set the armour level, as well as what weapons. It is like a upgraded, more customisable version of Captain Bernard's training.
This dlc had so much potential such a shame that it didn’t reach it hopefully they update it
I bought Shadowfax, with the right equipment you can make him carry more than 300 something.
Was really hoping for the option to build a wall
Id pick stables. They bring in more income than the guardhouse, give you access to some unique wearable stuff for your horse, and produce the best horses in the game.
It's painful to see camp with tents instead of a proper building for soldiers. It's so dumb that I must reject armory
I’m doing a wizard henry build so I gotta get Shadowfax
Bro they got mad at me and I can’t be bailiff anymore
His horse is called Shadowmere... wonder where they got that from...
Roach will always be my favorite horse in this game. Not because he’s the best but because it’s ROACH!
I had built half of the stuff when I realized I've made choices without knowing it. I just thought you can build it all.
Tbf i went guards cause literally everytime i travel too the village i get attacked by bandits or cumans so realistically i went with the guards
And anyway, you can ride only one horse at a time so the stable is pretty but pretty useless.
so hard to choose
Right, this is the only decision in this DLC that i actually find difficult.
The only time having the guardhouse came handy is when I got attacked by well armored bandits close to town. I just ran inside and the guards attacked
I built the stables because I didn’t want the guardhouse to catch me stealing yet….why is there only one or the other I definitely wouldn’t have picked the stables if I knew that
I built the stables unaware I was choosing between it and a guardhouse 👺 I’ve gotten to level 20 stats since I built it I don’t wanna go back 😢
I just wish any of those actions actually did matter :D Stables just make a bit more money and you can sell lot of junk to saddler :D
Get the guardhouse is increase number of guard running around i think so it a no no for me. 😅😅 I need to lockpick the entire village
Don't get how a Guardhouse is optional. Feel like that should be one of them buildings you can plant regardless
I played on HC and stables are much better choice. Because better and faster horse is just life saver.
The caparisons can be found at the Neuhof stables trader, the only benefit to the stables are the horses and income. The horses are good, but if you get that far you likely have a decent tier 5 already. I'd say a safer village is a better investment.
I would have loved being able to chop down different areas of woods to build more buildings and homes
I mean to me it’s a no brainer on this one the guards are more valuable in war torn Bohemia.
Shadowmere has a speed of 42. Your stats messed up the comparison because I'm assuming your horse has armor and items stored in it.
Shadowmere neat little elder scrolls reference to the dark brotherhood😜
Right, gotta appreciate when games do little nods to each other.
Every horse in the game is some type of reference.
What were those crest shields in the trunk ? They arent like others.
Shadowfax=she no shadowfax is the lord of horses not the lady
Actually you can get the horse armor from the blacksmith
it would be great if you could give commands to the guards
Al-Buraq has better speed and i believe better stamina. I didn’t see those three new horses as being better than the existing horses imo
Agro is better in all
Warhorse jenda all the way
Not true. Shadowmere is better in all categories except courage. And I’ve yet to have shadowmere throw me off.
Shadowmere is by far the best in the game this is no secret.
how the hell did u get 1m ?
Man Why have you that high brightness?
All of those Caparisons can be bought in other stables.
Guard House has much more use
You can already get the shield from kuno’s place on the back of his tent. Also if you get the stables can you rob the stables for a large profit? And can you do the same for guard house?
I'm pretty sure thats just a heavy shield with the boar crest painted on it. The stats aren't as good as the boarback shield.
@@Dare_To_Game well it’s still good enough for me! :)
Does the Guardhouse makes Soldiers walking around the city?
Yes, if you build the guardhouse, there will be soldiers walking around the town.
Determine8R Gaming Buggers. I've build the stables, and now I don't feel that safe with this big forest and all those bandits around... With only 2 Knights in the City. XD
@@Zemar16 dahhh they have three knights you and the two lol
How did you get that much money? 🤔😲
I recommend leveling up your lockpick and sneak and then steal from Alchemist first in Rattay...then work up to stealing all chest from Swordsmith; Armorer; Tailor: Cobbler in Rattay. That gets me good stuff when I go that way and lots of $$$.
I wish that in kc2 we will be able to play as Henry and expand Pribislavitz like Sir Divish said.
thanks!!!
You're welcome!
