It's refreshing to see a studio allocate a healthy six months of debugging, even if the game is feature ready. Let Warhorse remain free of "corporate policies" and "market considerations" until the end. They already killed CDPR, no more.
1:18 i hard agree mate, there are too many franchises that I am left being worried about their future releases because they have changed it so much from the original. All I want from kc2 is full game size expansion of the first with removal of jankiness and a graphic improvement. There is no reason to move away from what charmed everyone into playing the game the first time. Even removing jankiness I would want them to go easy, cos that was part of the fun of it too
I especially love how the mail collars look, they look soooooo much better now, and the armor looks like it fits to the characters much better and more accurately
i feel like the simplification of the combat in kcd2 is genius. it makes new players not get frustrated w the combat and it shows how advanced and skilled Henry is w the different weapons.
OOOh right. Subnautica 2. How could I forget. There really is shitton of games. Pretty much looking forward to what you listed plus Monster Hunter Wilds.
Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts with us even when you were feeling under the weather. Hope you feel better soon! And congratulations on getting invited to this exclusive event. I've been following your channel since the very first Witcher 3 video. It's awesome to see how much its grown in just two years. I wish you continued success!
Can we expect something like, what happened in Assassin's Creed 2 to Brotherhood? A slight Graphical and Gameplay improvement, while keeping its roots mostly the same? One thing I wanted to ask was, how do the crossbows handle? How do they clash with the bow in terms of power, speed, usefulness and user friendliness? I play on console, so I never bothered with a bow in the first game, but a steady crossbow sounds way more usable for consoles than a bow.
I know that crossbows drain your stamina while you aim them(I’m sure that goes away or is minimized the higher skill level you have), but I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be much easier to use than the bows
Happy it’s a “simple” sequel, I’m sure they’ll probably be some more ambitious DLC’s, or more unique I guess, to shake things up. So far it looks amazing!
There are two simple solutions - practice and thoughtful approach, both to be deployed by you. The more you practice a particular skill the better you get and the easier it gets (your irl self will get used to the mechanics while the game character will increase its stats); as for the saving system, the potion saving is there to force you play reasonably as if it would be a real life. With unlimited saving players would just go straight for difficult/improbable outcomes, keep dying and reloading and as soon as they get lucky, they save the game again and do another difficult task in the same manner. With limited saves you to be strategic and consider what is worth the risk and what is not, making the game much better experience. But you have to accept the mechanics instead of fighting them.
@@MrMichalMalek yeah, but in the early game this is a very conflicting design choice. Henry sucks at everything, the player doesn't understand the systems and the cost of failure is always high, (and the game is still kinda buggy which can make things worse) so you're disinsentivized from experimenting. In my first playthrough I ended up being just a meathead, because combat is the only thing you can practice without severe risk, and completely ignored systems like stealth or archery. In my other playthroughs I am much more versatile, but it's mainly due to strategic save planning and the willingness to waste time.
Tobi is a king! Fantastic video, gives me way more hope because I couldn't stay in Cologne for Gamescom. I was there for ONL and was prob the only screamy voice in the audience :D
That system where you decide what you did last game through dialogue is such a great idea. I was wondering how the game would account for everything you did if you played the first. Really cool substitute to importing save files. Cannot wait!
I think its a good idea to simplifiy the combat system, especially in the hardcore mode I had problems in getting the bottom attacks right, while having no problems getting the other attack zones right.
Yeah, I think that KCD1 veterans will for sure get a good experience, and now that the barrier for entry is lowered, new players will get a hang of it too And honestly I’m not really bothered at all that they combined the bottom two sections into one, it seems like combos are gonna flow better
So glad you answered my question early in the video about the first game’s decisions carrying over to the second game what I’m worried about is the broken quests I legit got the game months ago and still encountered like 2 or 3 broken markers/locations/npc just not working
What I hated about the first game was that you often ran into bushes that felt like rocks. That broke immersion. Hopefully running and horse riding works better now.
i dont mind you cant go thru them but there were many times i was stuck in a bunch of bushes.i was stuck in a world of bushes for like 10 mins one time. which is also stressful when you havent saved in awhile
@@morrisalanisette9067 I know, same thing happened quite a few times to me, it was really bad game design. I’ve actually never seen a game that had this problem, where you suddenly couldn’t move in areas of the world that looked like you could go. Very weird and broke immersion many times. Every other game is able to solve this, I don’t know why they couldn’t. It made me not enjoy the game very much.
@@pressrepeat2000 Nah it’s great game design and what I loved about early gameplay in KCD. If you haven’t saved, maybe don’t risk trying to go in those bushes near the bandits. You might die or you might get some loot. It felt dangerous, not like most stealth in games where you can stand next to them and they don’t see.
I'm really glad you mentioned the audio! That was one of my biggest worries when watching the demo video. Glad to know that I won't want to rip my ears off.
I wonder if the presence of these dialogue choices means that there won't be a save transfer system. The Witcher 3 had both as you could either transfer your Witcher 2 save or "simulate" it with ingame questions.
@@peterk2735 It's been a few years since I last played The Witcher 3 however I do recall that there was at least one minor choice that you could only influence by importing a save (aside from the tattoo that you can get in one of the Witcher 2 quests and which cannot be added by simulating a save)..
@@electricindigoball1244 the most important one was an additional side quest including Letho (if you let him alive in W2) and then bringing him to Kaer Morhen for the fight with the wild hunt. Pretty neat i would say
I’m so glad I can keep Theresa as my love interest. So many games just throw traditional marriage/romance out the window and pretend previous engagements didn’t exist.
I played so much of the first one but even after dozens of hours i still HATED the combat and did everything possible to avoid it. This is why i dropped it eventually. Doesn't seam like this one will be better because the system itself sucks.

Even removing jankiness I would want them to go easy, cos that was part of the fun of it too
At the same time, most used to be charmed by Bethesda jank back in the day. That didn't turn out too well.
Can't wait!
Thank you for sharing 😊
the Armour looks so much cleaner😶🌫
I especially love how the mail collars look, they look soooooo much better now, and the armor looks like it fits to the characters much better and more accurately

i feel like the simplification of the combat in kcd2 is genius. it makes new players not get frustrated w the combat and it shows how advanced and skilled Henry is w the different weapons.
The best addition by far is the cute rabbit under the compass.
This answered a bunch of questions I had, thanks for the hard work.
Subnautica 2, GTA 6, Kingdom Come 2 , Outward 2, Stalker 2, Frostpunk 2.... I'm about to eat hella good, we are so back
KCD was the best game i never managed to complete due to combat and save system. I really hope KCD2 has some sort of solution for people like me.
The combat mechanics are simply horrible though. The game responds to your inputs so slowly. I want to fight the enemies, not the interface.
Epic win, good job and glad you got the opportunity!
My boy pebbles is still there. That’s all I needed to know.
Tobi is a king! Fantastic video, gives me way more hope because I couldn't stay in Cologne for Gamescom. I was there for ONL and was prob the only screamy voice in the audience :D
aw fuck yeah this fills me with delight
Awesome sounds like it's shaping up to be an excellent sequel, and I couldn't tell you were sick so kudos. 👍
We wanted Kingdom Come on steroids... And we got it. LET'S GO
There are a lot of phenomenal works of music out there, and you mentioned "Lucretia" by Megadeth. For that, you get a thumbs up.
They better have fixed the lockpicking for console users. Could open very easy locks occasionally and easy locks very rarely. Couldn’t go any higher.
That system where you decide what you did last game through dialogue is such a great idea. I was wondering how the game would account for everything you did if you played the first. Really cool substitute to importing save files. Cannot wait!
Boinkin' people on their heads was so fun tho
Great review, you've change dmy mind a bit on this and am debating going back and finishing the first game now
The fact theyve completed the game and are just doing bug fixes now until February is VERY reassuring to me
He returned with a new KCD2 video!! Let’s goo
"Random low level peasants master striking you.." will exist as one of the most hilarious lines I have ever heard for a game commentary.
Pre Ordered Gold and patiently waiting :)
Me hit funny man with big funny sword. Shwing shwing
Would be nice to have some extra big funny Zweihänder. Those unfortunately didn't seem to quite yet exist in early 15th century...
@wombat4191 make an immersion breaking DLC that let's us use the FF7 buster sword or berserk guts dragon slayer
I think its a good idea to simplifiy the combat system, especially in the hardcore mode I had problems in getting the bottom attacks right, while having no problems getting the other attack zones right.
Yeah, I think that KCD1 veterans will for sure get a good experience, and now that the barrier for entry is lowered, new players will get a hang of it too
And honestly I’m not really bothered at all that they combined the bottom two sections into one, it seems like combos are gonna flow better
české království bude znovu velké:D
Czech kingdom will be grait again:D
So glad you answered my question early in the video about the first game’s decisions carrying over to the second game what I’m worried about is the broken quests I legit got the game months ago and still encountered like 2 or 3 broken markers/locations/npc just not working
What I hated about the first game was that you often ran into bushes that felt like rocks. That broke immersion. Hopefully running and horse riding works better now.
Have you tried running into thick bushes out in the wild? They absolutely feel like rocks and that’s with a motocross bike, never mind a horse
i dont mind you cant go thru them but there were many times i was stuck in a bunch of bushes.i was stuck in a world of bushes for like 10 mins one time. which is also stressful when you havent saved in awhile
May the lords praise you for such fine video material!
Why have i watched this video so many times
I'm really glad you mentioned the audio! That was one of my biggest worries when watching the demo video. Glad to know that I won't want to rip my ears off.
I wonder if the presence of these dialogue choices means that there won't be a save transfer system. The Witcher 3 had both as you could either transfer your Witcher 2 save or "simulate" it with ingame questions.
They said (multiple places I believe, but also to me directly after asking) that there won’t be a save import system
And honestly it’s not like the save import in the Witcher made much of a difference
Pretty neat i would say
im very pleased with the creators. thanks for existing
8:46 Why is there LITERAL traffic cone in henrys clothing slot....?
It’s an old joke from the time of the beta of the first game
Congrats brother! So glad you got to go play the game. Also super glad your channel is still rocking. Love your content.
I’m so glad I can keep Theresa as my love interest. So many games just throw traditional marriage/romance out the window and pretend previous engagements didn’t exist.
Beautifully put together video, Thanks for the video brother
I played so much of the first one but even after dozens of hours i still HATED the combat and did everything possible to avoid it. This is why i dropped it eventually. Doesn't seam like this one will be better because the system itself sucks.
I really enjoyed the combat, so… skill issue
@@Benzy670 I played plenty of hard games. The combat is not fun. The difficulty is irrelevant
@@fall190not fun to you. Lol because you probably suck at the game
Considering that the game is running on Cry engine, it is absolutely insane how good the game looks. I do not think that you will find any game on Cry that looks so amazing...
If there isn't a party scene with Henry, Hans and Father Goodwin I don't want to play it.
Not only that you will play as Godwin...CEO confirmed another playable character in base game. It was interview in czech so most youtubers do not noticed...in summer game fest trailer game was narrated from father Godwin, he is on advanture to find Henry and Hans.
Havent looked forward to a game this much in years. KCD was such a treasure. I really hope they dont change too much.
Wonder if you can finally marry Theresa
That would be awesome, even if it’s at the very end of the game, it would be great to see their relationship come to that conclusion
ill be honest its kind of frustrating to me personally that the combat has been simplified i really enjoyed the hard learning curve and struggling it was so gratifying when i finally got good at it so i hope it is still relatively hard and complicated
So one could say Kingdom Come delivered right?
Nice one dude 👏
The Deliverance was so good that everybody Came.
