I cant believe they perform this live... the amount of emotion going into this song... I tear up listening to it! How can maynard get through this?? God tier band, each member is spectacular and could be a powerhouse behind a successful band... all together we have a masterpiece beyond just a song... but a masterpiece of a band!
Apparently they dont like to do it live either as its so very complex that its very easy for them to fall out of sync. the timing signatures for each of them etc. Apparently Maynard said this in an interview
I’ve been reviewing a lot of MJK interviews and articles lately + his book so I don’t recall exactly where he said he’d regretted performing it because he didn’t feel the audience grasped the meaning, the emotion and the sensitivity.
I regret that I wasn’t smart enough to ever see this live. 10,000 days is what made me a huge tool fan and even before I knew the origin of pt1 and 2 they still spoke to me immensely. Amazing
Talk about strength. How they all kept it together to play this song. I remember seeing it live and pretty much everyone in the crowd was crying or just dead silent here in CO.
At times she worried about you so. At times she needed you to know. Just how precious her little boy now a-man you are. To her her child her love 💕 her greatest gift! Just thought you should know!
I was there. And one of the lasers was on my heart , only 8 of one.. i felt special every time I see this. Thank you, huntingtonst for putting this on .
I saw and 10000 days (wings part2) live in Cincinnati on the album tour amazing. Seen them a little over a week ago again in knoxville and this performance stuck out the most (jambi open a close second) amazing
The crowd it so respectful
Most of them

@@Mae.B. I definitely remember an interview where he said he regretted playing it because he felt he opened himself up far too much to the audience.
Lost both my parents in less than a month. This song is medicine to me.

16 years and I still revisit these videos.... what a great spiritual experience

I can only hope he has the strength to play it again.
This song is so emotional. And Adam is just killing it with guitar
That is a band at the heights of their greatness, the best band on the planet EVER
Very underrated song
Was lucky enough to see this one live that tour. ❤
