Alot of what Danny does is linear so if he can get his other hand to the drum there's no way he's missing a note. Guy is a beast the way hes able to reach back and forth from one end of the kit to the other with power is amazing.
Know what, I watched out for him losing the drumstick and just thought he varied the riff rather than losing the stick! He should keep that variation 😊
There are concerts, and there are Tool shows. There is a distinct difference. My first Tool show was this tour, Winston-Salem, NC. Learned the difference that night.
i love how it ramps up with each song and triad is such an energetic end to it. Each song works so well and it could have been put together as one song on an album and nobody would know otherwise. It is pretty much a perfect trio of art put together.
I love seeing awesome videos like this with great fans, where even though one could complain that the video quality was lacking or that the sound wasn't all that great, yet still, at almost 7,500 views, it still has no dislikes, when it seems like almost every video that gets posted no matter what it is always has a few dislikes, if for no other reason than people being contrarian, nit picking, or non-fans who stumble on the vid. Thanks for the upload.
He keeps the beat going with only his right arm. That's extremely difficult to do, since most musicians drive a beat, riff or melody from context and anticipation of what comes next. So, when you take the left hand out of the equation, the beat becomes "incomplete" and you instinctively stop, because you don't know how to proceed without your left hand. Danny just kept going with his left arm. That's a pretty robotic thing.
Standard0Toaster Didn't drop it... He broke it! Because he was playing with his eyes closed, it took him a few more seconds to realize and grab a new one!
The guy yelling "TIMMAY" at 5:06 is peak 2002 energy
LITERALLY THO
I love how the band hardly even moves around while pounding out some of the heaviest, most tribal shit known to man kind...long live Tool
They too concentrated on the odd time signatures 😂. They are the most creative band of my generation!!!
I love that around 5:00, people realized they were actually going to play Reflection.
they must have lost their shit when they heard triad
Danny's playing is so mesmerizing.
Aye, true words.
The one and only....
Mesmerising is the perfect word for it....💥🎼🎵🎶🥁
The live version of Triad was something else! Even better than the CD.
Only triad? Every song in my opinion
This is awesome. Reflection is where it's at.
12:34 the flourish mallard puts on “the” is something else
@ 5:55 danny loses a drumstick but still keeps the beat. friggin boss.

Love all three songs but triad is on a different planet
Danny is incredible
Saw Tool in this tour 3 times. INCREDIBLE.
the lateralus tour was their best. Songs from undertow, aenema, and lateralus
Such discipline as musicians, even way back when. Forever a tool fan!
Listening to TOOL, I simply enter into another spiritual attunement. This Band is fantastic.
The sound engineer for tool concerts are always on point.
Hypnotic transcendence on the drums....the one and only....
Max respect, Danny Carey.
5:07 riblah riblah Timmay!!
I just noticed that 😆
truly masters' of their craft
50th time I watch this I think. What a incredible experience everytime. This is actually the holy trinity

It got one thumbs down," how pitiful" -PEACE-
I was there, Tool as always was amazing! Best band ever! Spiral out!
20th time that i've watched the video then i realize 5:55. The prove he's human

Hehehe Danny dropped his stick for a moment in the beginning of Reflection

No one sounds like Justin Chancellor and no one other than him could ever even wish to have a bass sound like him. Incredible.

The visuals, the sounds you just get lost in them. Nothing will ever come close to this band
Dud yall like that tour it really was amazing!! Thank you Tooll
Early version. They did that a lot as part of the "jam session" which included Disposition, Reflection and Triad. :3
Video says it was recorded 2002, can't be the early version if the album was already out lol
Tim Coleman I think he’s talking about the wings for Marie riff at the end
Disposition is like musical Valium for me. It has saved my life and I know people say that shit a lot. But it really did and is 🤙🏻🌀🤟
This is exactly 10 days after the day I was born lol
Well now I know at least they played the holy trinity here in buffalo.
Amazingness.
maynard the monk
Fanfuggintastic!
Im from buffalo but was only 14... I woulda loved to have seen this
Buffalo tx ??
EDIT:ohh nvm I see the video says buffalo ny
at the end of the video Adam is playing Wing for Marie????
He played with the riff a lot on the end of the lateralus tour...
Was Adam playing the intro to Wings for Marie at the end there??
Yep 😊
2002, I don't think this was filmed with a phone
Can anyone do an AI Enhanced version of this, like they did to the “Danny Carey Drum Cam (Live 2002)” ?
MMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOORRRRRREEEEEEE
Timmay
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
5:00 "Timmy"! 🤣
They don’t make songs like this anymore...
❤ttt❤tttt😊
@ 18:53 a sneeze??
There are different camera angles lol, I don't think it was filmed with a phone
Did phones record in 2002?
Lou Foucher definitely not at this quality, sound or video lol
I wonder who was playing the keyboard on triad. Tech?
who is that on the bottom left of the screen at 25:00? extra guy on the keyboards?
6 years late but it’s mike and John of tomahawk
@@alexb9597 I'm pretty sure you're right. I saw them for this tour in 2001 in Ottawa and that's who opened then as well.
Why Do Babies Stare At Me That’s sick, I wish I could’ve seen them live during lateralus tour
Lemme help you out with that, split it 500k each.
i wish i can give you 10000 likes for your comment.
and im going to contribute with another 1,000,000 views.
