Man, you are the most talented action figure customizers I've ever seen 💯 Looking forward to the Ben Affleck Batcave diorama video. You inspire me to get into customizing this fall, except I'll be working with my favorite and most difficult scale....3.75". Great content! Can't wait to see more 👍🏼
@Ibrahim_M Thanks. I hope it works out for me. This will be my first time, and it would have to be my favorite and hardest scale to work with lol oh well. Looking forward to more on your channel
@@futuredarknight88 Thanks, man, I appreciate that. And just remember that on most custom projects it's common to hit a point where you're really frustrated with it and you just want to throw it out a window, but push through and you'll be happy with the results on the other side 🙌
Friend, ha ha I am in awe of your ability to find and improve even the smallest details in an action figure customization, excellent work as always. An apology for not having been able to comment on your previous video, however I already saw it and you give a very good review of the batmobile from batman vs superman. Greetings
Another wonderful video with exquisite work. What you did to the Affleck sculpts in particular is very impressive. The Alfred figure looks great, the glasses are so tiny! I love what you do and your enthusiasm as always is there to see. Keep up the great work mate.
@@Ibrahim_M All better now mate, I appreciate that greatly. Look forward to more of your wonderful work. I wish I had room for dioramas like you have, that would be the ultimate.
@@LEXINGTONSMYTHE Thanks so much, and I'm very glad to know that you're in the clear! Haha, yeah they do take up a lot of space. It's always been a big life ambition for me to have the kind of environments for toys that we used to see on the commercials as kids, and I am completely enamored with realism in miniature, so I think I was always headed toward this, lol.
@@Ibrahim_M I know exactly what you mean. As a child growing up in the UK I saw all these amazing tv shows and films and dreamed of owning figures and replica vehicles etc and hoped one day to be able own them if ever they were produced. Indeed replicas such as the 1989 Batmobile has been produced and I have the hot toys version which is my favourite. Even as I head towards almost 50 years old, I am still excited about having the whole collection of my favourites as a kid. My wife thinks I need to grow up and get out of the past. Haha! What do women know anyway! 😀 Never lose that enthusiasm mate and always retain that childhood dream. Whether we are 8 or 80 years old, that enjoyment for retro and replicas will never fade.
@@LEXINGTONSMYTHE Yes indeed! I know it's a bit taboo to be grown and obsessed with toys, but I truly don't care, haha. It brings too much joy to feel any other way! I'm glad you share in that enthusiasm as well! And that HT 89 Batmobile is a thing of beauty. Truly.
Thanks so much, dude! Weird about the notification; I don't really know how they work on here, but I very much appreciate you having it setup for this.
@@Therealflash69 Thanks so much, dude. You don't know how much I actually needed to hear that today 🙏🙏. I plan on doing this for a long time. Thank you for rocking with me!
Amazing work man! I plan to do the same custom. Just wanted to ask how you managed to paint the stubble so precisely? Every time I do a stubble paint, it comes across looking like smoke blasted in the face of the action figure instead.
Lol, thank you! The key is to water down the paint a lot and then apply it it very light little dabbed layers. Reason being is that you want the skin color to still show through. A lot of people make the mistake of just applying grey paint over the face, and that's why it often doesn't look how they want. You want to use a brush that has a point to the end (instead of a flat one), dip the tip into some water, and mix the tiniest bit of black or grey paint with it on another surface. Do a small test swipe, and you want it to just be like 10% paint, 90% water. Then you lightly tap the tip of the brush against the beard area (even better if the bristles have seperated a bit). If it looks too heavy, don't be afraid to dab it with a cloth to absorb some of the excess pigment/water. Do one layer, see how it looks, and if it's not enough, repeat what you did until it looks how you want it. Remember that you can always add more, but it's much harder to take it away, haha. Hope that helps!
I could never customize one of my high end figures. I only have 3 SHFs, all Endgame Battle Iron Man, Cap, & Spidey. I like SHF over Mafex even tho I’m more of a DC fan. All others, Hot Toys, Mezco, etc, too expensive. Accidentally broke my Iron Man 😭 the joint elbow broke when I tried to change it out
Crazy that I'm just now seeing this. Amazing work, man!! That muscle shading was definitely done by an artist who's familiar with human anatomy. What are your thoughts on the Muff Toys head sculpt, as well as the upcoming Manipple figure?
Thanks so much, dude!! I really love the muff sculpt. I pre-ordered one that currently sits in my mezco Knightmare Batman. I’m partial to this custom one because I think the ability to detail the stubble myself really gives it an added layer of realism, but I’m glad to have the muff sculpt so that I didn’t have to make it twice, haha. I think the Manipple figure looks great (especially after the suit fixes). I skipped on ordering it- as much as I’d love to have it, I have a rule where I don’t order doubles of things I already have if they’re comparable enough, and I love my custom, so I’m just sticking with it. I am getting the Superman, though. Hopefully he ships soon 🙏🏼🙌🏼
@@Ibrahim_M Valid! As someone who's not super good at painting, I'll take a professional upgrade if it's available, but with that immaculate stubble your sculpt is looking like some custom 1:6 sculpts I see. The Manipple Batfleck hasn't actually opened for preorder yet, but I'm also hoping Superman releases soon
I love my original Mezco BvS Batman… but wow! Customizing it can really elevate it. I’d be tempted to do the same but I don’t think I’m brave enough 😅 Really enjoyed the video as always!
Y'know, I don't think I mentioned it! It's from a seller called GPSlot on eBay-- they have a ton of soft goods for 1/12 figures including capes for most characters you can think of.
Love this work. Always after watching your videos I feel like I gotta get back to work to on the figures on my shelves. Just to improve the total thing!
@@Ibrahim_MHey man, I just needed some advice. I bought a mezco knightmare accessory pack and really wanted to know if it would fit the mcfarlane batman.
@@TD4K_WIS I don’t know anything about the accessory pack, I’m afraid (was it just parts that someone sold online or did they make an official one?). But mezco heads are about the same size as McFarlane’s even though the figures are taller, so I think there should be some comparability
Still sucks WB botched so many of their movies. BvS, SS1, JL, Batgirl (never released) , & Flash. BvS Ultimate Edition, Ayercut, & ZSJL/ the directors cuts are how the movies were originally supposed to come out. What could’ve been if they did 😭😤 WB prioritized short term gains over long term
