You're better off flying with an instructor at approximately $500 per hour. $20,000 per year will buy you 40 hours of instruction each year. And you don't have to deal with any of the other nonsense like maintenance, liability, insurance etc.

The LT is a little different from the LX and isn't quite as capable at aerobatics. It doesn't have a symmetric airfoil section and has winglets.
On the other hand, this makes it a little quicker in a straight line given the same engine and a little more fuel efficient.
It also carries a little more fuel, which together with the more cruise oriented wing section gives it much more range.
