Just a quick note if you got the 'no signal' on your screen hit dell button on your keyboard. Otherwise it wont post. After that the Ddr5 self learning did his work and took about 5 mins to boot the windows 10 install. I love this board its very well equiped with lots of great options. Been using it the last 2 weeks now. The price is quite high 175 euros .

I don't see why not. Personally if you can't use ethernet I'd recommend powerline adapters though into the ethernet jack, no need to worry about positioning or anything and you can get more of the traditional wired speeds.

You also need to consider what CPU you're using, as you need to scale the board to the CPU. These are more affordable boards and if you're going to upgrade to something higher, then the board needs to match,. Maybe spend more to begin that will accommodate future upgrades.

Few months ago I’ve build second PC - R5 5600X on ASRock AB350M Pro4(from 2017) with 32gb ram(running at 3200mhz 💪) and RX6700XT. This is solid 1440p gaming PC for child. What’s your use case, are you looking to change platform or willing to keep AM4 a bit longer?
No probs. I can't remember how many this had to be honest. I cover them in the video, but you can use ones like the CPU optional for a case fan without problem.
Some boards want it, some don't. I expect you'll be okay, but it might be time to upgrade your PSU as going from the single 8 pin I'm guessing it's +10 years old.

Okay so this is about the highest SKU I'd put in it, as I always recommend to scale the motherboard with the CPU. Otherwise it's like a Lambo with Toyota prius tyres, so just consider if you might updrade down the line and if you'll need something a bit more powerful. The MSI B650 Tomahawk is a good step up for little difference in price.

You can look at the QVL on the product page for all kits they've tested. AMD can be picky with four channels being filled, I'd recommend 2x64gb instead if you *need* that much RAM.

I've not used the ASRock but their boards have got better over the years. Spec wise, all I can really do is tell you the differences, but you just as well do that yourself.

Good gaming experience requires good audio which this board unfortunately lacks. What a shame that only the way much more expensive AORUS PRO AX is equipped with it.

You stated the rear panel USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 port was 20Gb/s its only 10Gb/s (written on the port, you can see it in the video, verified on the Gigabyte website), the website does state that the front panel connector for USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 is rated to 20Gb/s

First boot is always slow, especially on AMD/AM5. That's more expensive then, it's a chunk less here.
A $200 motherboard is a budget board. What a world.
Prices have gone up a lot, but there have been a lot of gernational improvements too, so you do get a lot of more performance for the same amount.

Yeah this will be good for that. Don't go any cheaper, the 7800X3D is a higher SKU and you should scale up the motherboard the higher the CPU.

The ASRock looks a little basic for a 7800X3D, but if the power is okay then go for it

For the ssd slot i didnt screw the ssd in i just placed the heatsink over it and screwed the heatsink over it is that fine?

Yeah you could. I usually recommend scaling the motherboard with the CPU though. The 7900X is pretty high end.

I would not get this board, mine came with two of the m.2 screws stripped on each guard.

You stated the rear panel USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 port was 20Gb/s its only 10Gb/s (written on the port, you can see it in the video, verified on the Gigabyte website), the website does state that the front panel connector for USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 is rated to 20Gb/s
Cheers, I think this might be the one when I took the audio of me saying "USB Type C" from another video as the audio in this one sounded crap. Or I mixed up the ports on the notes. Oh well, I've added the correction to the pinned comment.
