I'm building a LP kit and building a kit for the first time ever and I'm putting a full camphor burl top on it because I can. So excited. I also played a 1961 and 63 strat today and together was 44 grand. Beautiful and sounded so good and played so well. I could justify it.

Got a really clean all original Maple fretboard 76 custom in Natural on reverb about a month ago and the weeks I was saving up I kept having nightmares that Trogly was gonna snatch it up! What caught my attention is that it has 2 serial numbers and “made in USA” stamped twice....beneath the trussrod cover, under the lacquer is “5”.....I drove all the way to the sellers house to get it
I bought my silverburst custom from the original owner too, had the original purchase tag too. Hope he is well and alive. I did promise him to treasure it and not sell it. US

Mr Trog, at around 15:40 you show "the sg" with the Christian fish stamp. I am he who stamped. I lived in Crestwood KY when I owned that one. I may have sold or traded it at the Columbus Ohio guitar show. I bought, sold, traded, and did extensive repairs for about 30 years. I tried to fish stamp or sticker guitars that I owned. Being a Christian I wanted a way to leave my mark. It's had to have been 15 years since I've owned that one and got a kick out of you showing my fish stamp. I quit guitars about 4 years ago after chemo caused neuropathy in my hands. Learn and show more tech work! I'll be watching for more of my guitars!

Trogly! Could you PLEASE build a kit guitar!? I am getting an LP style kit and it has a curly maple veneer and I decided I want to spec this thing out. I am sanding down the veneer and putting a full natural dark brown camphor burl top on it because I've never had proper full top, always cap then veneer. Then I'm getting some Seymour Duncan's put in it and all the specs. Its looking around 500 dollars for the husk and top and upgraded parts but this will be a first time experience for me!
I recently posted my Les Paul for sale because I could not get along with its fat neck. I got an offer from a friend the same day. I then played it again and started liking the guitar. I apologized and told my friend about how I am enjoying the guitar at the moment and hold off on buying it. He was very understanding.

If you ever come across a Les Paul deep blue satin that shimmers in spot light. With low light it almost looks black. It's from what I was told fine metal dust that gives it that glow. Think it was a 76 in fair condition please let me know. Been on a mad search since. I'm sure it's a rare model. I bought the 61 SG Maestro from you.
The new Epiphone models released at Summer NAMM look good. A high spec Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard "made in partnership with the Gibson™ Custom Shop". Would love to see a Trogly video about that guitar.

Nice bunch of guitars today. Guy I know has a ic sore. The son of a friend brought in a 61 Les Paul. Someone during its life, somebody sanded down the original finish and repainted it white including the headstock. My friend refinished it and has it listed on reverb. Next time you’re on there check it out.

I got my electrics amps, I'm in the online world trying make decision on 12 string acoustic electric fell in love with Ibanez AEG1812IIBK, but due to V out of stock long while lots of Dark violin burst model but blk comes with purpleheart wood fret board bridge. So waiting been searching came Grestch 12 white falcon rancher yum gold lame full binding! Than I find back and sides laminated at $699 ,so found 2 that price using solid woods seagull coastline 12 cedar top wild cherry back and sides but alas V out of stock, leaves Takamine gj72ce natural Jumbo all spruce top maple back sides,would been interesting having seagull as she aged to hear that great old combo 12 string, they grow the wood it sustainable grown wood, times sure getting strange,just came overwhelmed today, have to many battery charges going, it hit me multiple old man battery work times billions we got serious battery probelm coming

The Grover is twisted on the G, it's a nice guitar, Shecter have a few in their range with a similar finish. Personaly i would go for the Shecter but only because i own Gibsons and i'm contemplating buying a Shecter.Nice guitar that Austin, it'll look great when you've give it the once over.

I noticed something interesting on that Heritage Les Paul. The horn on the bottom is pretty pointy compared to the average Gibson Les Paul's.
The ‘81 LP one owner was so nice, but the silver Custom was off the chart 👌Fantastic acquisitions. God bless and rock on 🤘

They made it in plain tops and figured tops, honestly like the plain tops better. But an awesome, more rare color!

Never realized how fragile those switch tips are, even while in a good case... then again I’m guessing older plastic parts can get brittle with age.
