@@BrendanPowerMusic Brendan do you sell a Music Book with harmonica music tabs for diatonic harmonica for your Irish tunes? By the way I love your song Three Irish Tunes on Spotify! You should do a tutorial on how to play that banger.
That man can play any type of music..from blue's to jazz to Irish..A genius..The Bodhrán player is excellent also...No banging the Bodhrán just pure class
That is powerful playing..The best mouth organ player I've ever heard..The first reel The Drunken Landlady was a great favorite of the late Uilleann Piper Liam O'Flynn..The second reel "The wind that shakes the barley" was popularized in the late 50's by a famous Concertina Player from County Clare Mrs.Crotty..
Absolutely brilliant, I've been learning common irish tunes to accompany a band , but I would like to learn some reels and slip jigs to fill in when the guys head off to the bar lol. ,
you two are amazing together!!! i love your bodhran style subtle and so effective. my favorite is sweet bulgarity!!! i hope you both have more to post...pleeeeease.
Brendan Power doesn't limit himself to one genre of music, so his stuff is not always pure drop as they would say in the ITM community, but its pretty darn amazing to listen to. Just don't plan on playing it the same way at your local session.
WOW! I have never been so amazed by a drum! I totally appreciate your great harmonica playing as I always love a good harmonica, but to add in this Bodhran with all the tonal variations has made a spectacular combination! WOW! I found you by seeing you play the DM48 at Namm 2020 and then you commented on his video. So keep the comments and videos because they are great advertisements for all the quantum leaps you are developing with your double harmonicas! Game changing stuff!
Wow all the way from New Zealand my home country. didn't realise they had awesome harp playe here. You would be one of the best maybe the only one. Because I seen some harp players they ain't good like you. You and Buddy .Yaye for our NZ harp player
Wow that is the most incredible and haunting sound. How well you complement each other. Finally where the hell do you get your breath from to play that stuff. I salute you both.
Hi Caroline - I'm playing a Suzuki chromatic called the Fabulous on this set of tunes, with a silver-coated solid brass comb. A very expensive model. However the Chinese brand Easttop is now making very good brass comb chromatics for a fraction of the price, so you can get a similar sound that way.
WOW! that was fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! truly!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is a grand full sound... great harmonica playing, and Lucy just amazes me on bodhran! 100 stars! Cheers, -Kip
Wow wow wow. You both have blown me away! I didnt think irish music at that speed was possible on a chrom but I am aware that you make an Irish version. That was Irish through and through. Respect given by Lucy playing just loud enough to be heard and giving Brendan the light. Then Brendan went quiet to give Lucy a chance. Superb respect. Is that an " electric " bodrhan" ??? Thank you for making me so happy and priveleged to hear you both. Pete
Man,this is really good and inspiring. This is true genuine music, powerfull and clean.Such a different sound this reels have than played on a whistle, but in a very good way.Remembers me a bit of a button accordion or a concertina, but in a more jazzy way.
Hi, I'm from Brasil and I meet you when I was looking for a harmonica to beginnig, I found suzuki harmonika I bought my first one, C bluesmaster and I found your videos. Amazing, I love irish music but I just had listenned by flute, there are many notes :DD and when I saw in harmonica I thought, What a great! I can play these amazing songs right now kkk :DD I would love see you playing another ones on youtube. I became a fan right now. (Sorry for my english is terrible)
I didn't know the bodhran could do that. I'm glad I don't play one, or I'd have to give up after hearing this. That playing was awesome in the classic definition of the word.
I don’t think anyone plays as many tunings and genres so well as Brendan. Look at this and then catch him with Will Wilde playing rock. If Richard Thompson needs a harp player who can cover his whole repertoire, Brendan is the guy. Awesome bodhran playing too.
Absolutely WONDERFUL!!! I just watched another vid of you guys together with the 7/8 time and I am in awe. I am just learning to play the bodhran and am truly inspired by this! Thank you!
My god! That's not good or even very good, but just perfect. I just cannot imagine how it could done better. I've been listening to Irish music for more than forty years and so I'm seldom amazed when I find new good stuff, but you managed to amaze me. It's really injust, but my space is restrichted and so I limit all detailed praising to Lucy with her canny and economical style, looking causual like drying dishes, but absolutely precise, never a bit shaky, and knocking me off my feet.
REALLY enjoyed that, thank you! And many apologies to Lucy, but i just had to join in on my bodhran, even though it seems like heresy to play over that performance!
Dear Brendan and Lucy, This is spellbinding. Outrageously amazing. I am a newcomer to the world of instrumental music, and to say the least, your work is highly inspirational. Hope to learn from you personally some day. All the very best with your future endeavors. Regards sd
Both players are SOOOO good and make it look SOOOOO effortless, even this level of skill is SOOOO difficult !! As a total beginner on the bodhran, I have to say Lucy is my new hero! And if you haven't seen "Sweet Bulgarity" yet, look it up!!!
Wow...I have played the harminica all of my life but there is no way I could ever play to this standard, so fast and so precise. Well done thank you for sharing this you make it look easy..but its not!
More than 10 years ago fell in love with this video, today searched for a long time, and finally found and collection.
I'm glad you still like it 10 years later 🙂

Wow ! great ! Awesome ! You are so much talented harmonica player !
And this folks is as good as it gets
Beautiful, guys. That’s great harp playing, my man.
It goes great with the bodhraan, it’s like an accordion and a fiddle wrapped in to one instrument
That man can play any type of music..from blue's to jazz to Irish..A genius..The Bodhrán player is excellent also...No banging the Bodhrán just pure class
Fantastic!!!! I think I will throw my drum away
Not always pure drop, but always, always brilliant and worth listening to... and listening to again and again and again.

Wow that is the most incredible and haunting sound. How well you complement each other. Finally where the hell do you get your breath from to play that stuff. I salute you both.
Thanks Steven! Since the harmonica has in and out breaths, you can balance them out and breathe as you play 👍
Bloody FANTASTIC!! LOVE that little bluesy harp at the end!! :o)

What are these three tunes?? They’re amazing, but there’s so many comments I couldn’t find out! :)
