Golden years
The Doobies hit songs were everywhere on the radio when I was a teenager in the 70's. It was part of the music culture, at house parties, driving in the car, at the park, part of the air we breathed! 😊
Exactly. Regards from Poland.
What’s a privilege to attend a Doobie Brothers concert twice. Once in a casino in Oklahoma and once in Kansas city.
That’s how it’s done. People coming together without anger nor politics. Just listening to the music and vibing with one another! Beautiful!
Talkin' bout my generation
Yes indeed! Just reach out, grab someone and hit the floor! This ol' geezers body's gettin' slower, but my heart's still in it! Cheers!
As a 62 year old musician,it gives me a smile to see in these videos of the old rockers still performing- I HATE the term "classic rock"- that,no matter who the band is,there are always teenagers,or even younger,in the crowd, loving the music.Good taste transcends age.
What do you think is wrong with the term "classic rock"? I think it just describes a certain style or genre of - BTW - great music. I have a collection of about 300 CDs of Classic Rock, and I love them all!
Nothing wrong with the term Classic Rock. THis describes rock music at it's best. That era of great rock music is gone. Nothing out there today compares to that music. It was simple, described great times, and usually had a message that most could relate to.
The music of this era is the best ever produced. I graduated highschool 1973, this stuff was all over the radio plus wed all go to the swollen head to buy lps every week. Marvelous. There’s nothing i like about today’s music. Thank you doobies.
'73 was a great year to graduate!
🥳
@@OhAncientOne Same here, a friend of mine grew up in Visalia and knew Tommy really well. We went to see them when they came to town and got backstage passes, great time was had by all.
@@67Pepper that's awesome 👍
The boys still have it
Smooth and Easy!!!!
After 50 years, they still sound better than 80% of the music put out today. Love these guys.
100 dude?
I Tautoko that Brother's 👍😎
Amen, brother at 72
I'll take them to the grave and heaven!
no sadly they would not younger money loaded and much much better
They’re sounding better now than THEY did 50 yrs ago!
Great horns
Unbeatable

Tell them my friend
Absolutely!!! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

As a younger person, I can assure you that your music is STILL popular.
It’s 2024 and am I glad to be a child of the 60’s and 70’s 😊 such great music
Oh, What FUNNNNN!!! Yeah!!😃😃😃
When music was good and simple. Love peace and rock n roll 😊
Good lord, not only do The Doobies have never ending talent, their hearts are infinite.
There is nothing greater than the Doobies, “Listen to the Music!” An anthem to Rock & Roll!!
Takes me back to great memories, better time.,..
The Doobies and Chicago got me through the 70's.
MY Gosh This Band Still Jams in 2023! Thank You-Thank You-Thank You
What the people need is more of this classic rock in their life. It’s 2023 and I would love to see them in concert before the year is over.
I was playing in a rock band in 1972. This was one of our favorite cover tunes.
The days when people enjoyed themselves, so glad I lived and enjoyed these times
Indeed
These happy times will come again...
Yes it was the late great 70/80 some of the best music and concerts ever!

I was at the Paramount in Seattle WA In January of 1973 and watched these two founders of the Doobie Brothers play this song, with the band at the time.I was with my two friends and neighbors we had a blast at that concert. Now over 50 years later I see this on UA-cam and it brings back memories and blows me away. Thank you to the Doobie Brothers ❤.
I had just moved from Seattle around that same time and the Doobies were the 1st concert I saw in SF. Now they even have a sax player from my new Bay Area high school and yes they still sound great
I was a teenager of the 70's and thought music this good would just keep coming. Now I realise I was so lucky to be have been there.
Me too!!!
Same
we need more sweet music, lyrics we can understand and relate to. God I miss those times we actually danced.
48 years later and they still sing it fresh as ever!
What I love most about this is the joy it puts on all the faces ON the stage after all these years.
Comfort food for my soul. And, one of the most polished bands in existence.
Young, old, and middle-aged, regardless of any divisions or differences we have as people, this is the music that truly transcends generations and unites people.
The Doobies are like a comfortable pair of shoes I've worn my entire life! #Respect
This is what we call real music and bands at their best....long live this era of music...thank you Doobies!
My Gosh I was 10 Years Old when this band was on the radio I remember hearing daily !
MTV unplugged is also real music. Only acoustic instruments. Listen to MTV unplugged Eric Clapton from 1992. This is the only real MTV unplugged concert. No pickups, only microphones.
This must be one of the happiest songs ever created. This performance gave me goosebumps.
Patrick Simmons killing it instrumentally and vocally. Bravo!
Yes! He's still got it!!!
Seein' all the guys together never gets old. Doobies forever!
You can’t beat music like this.
Thank God awesome bands like this are still with us! I hope they give us another 20 years. This is real music. This is how it's done.
I grow up with your music ❤
Amazing! They sound just as good after 50 freaking years.
I love to see how the people of our generation can still live these moments of great joy with their idols. D.B. is one of my favorite bands since I was a teenager and forever. Go Doobie Bros.!!!
The audience really seems to be enjoying the performance.
Best Bay area band ever. DOOBIES KILLED IT FOR 50 YRS

I went to see you guys 2 years ago in Huntsville. I think it was the best concert that I have ever been to. That moon coming up over the amp with Michael McDonald playing that keyboard. STELLAR!
The brass is authentic The Drums are full and the sounds and smells of live music are real ,just beautiful
Now that is Music.
Thank you for your music The Doobie Brothers!!🥰
how sad we have lost the days of good music, we will never have this class of people again
Yes very sad, but so glad we got to experience it in real time
I never get tired of hearing this band - they are simply magic ....
I don’t think any of today’s musicians will ever reach the pinnacle of this type of long term success.
This is one of my Favorite Songs of ALL time. This, and China Grove. P.K.
I'm from New Orleans. Love Black Water. Pat Simmons said he was in New Orleans when he wrote the song. I could tell. Been following the Doobies since the seventies when I was a teenager. Great time to be alive. Great music.
Each song a masterpiece. They take me back to a wonderful place and time. You guys rock!!
LIFE SWEET FREEDOM 🎯😉🌟💯💯😎🦉👁️✌️😎🎯
Very much needed in these 2020 times! Thanks Doobies!!
Absolutely, Andrew...this music has such positive power, I’m realizing now at age 60. For a few years now, since we’re able to find and listen to pretty much any of the favorite music that has meant so much to us over the years anytime we want, I listen to music again, now, mostly at night. And this band’s music is what I listen to most often, especially The Captain and Me; I love the original era of the band the best. I realize now the amazing power music has for so many good things. It has, in effect, help save me!
They keep improving already great classics. The songs are evolving
eu ouvindo ém 2023 alguém mais dá minha época inacessível
So freaking cool to see these guys still performing and the old guys, just like me, singing and dancing in the crowds. Still love these guys, still after 50 years of "listening to the music", their music! Bravo!!!
I have always felt that The Doobie Brothers are Pure Musicians. Legends that shape our modern day music and mind you they are still kicking it.. such class!!

Its part of our generation. Our heritage. Our life and soul. When we go....it goes with us.
I've enjoyed this song for decades. Always enjoyed the Doobie Brothers.
One of my favorite driving or spending a day at the park
Ageless treasure. All time favorite band.
You just know when it starts, it's going to be marvelous,,,These guys are breathtaking! Just keep singing and playing!
Covered this and many other doob songs on drums in my band days. How blessed they are. RIP Keith.
Damn I love Pat's guitar work at the end. I melted the vinyl off of "Best of the Doobies" growing up.
68 and still listening. Great music just listening to the greatest band. Got to see them in Paducah Kentucky they sounded just as good as ever that was 7 or 8 years ago Great awesome convert!!!!!

Kick it
I listen all the time. Thank you for the advice.
I'm sure you are music giants. You mean so much to many. Thank you. I Thank God that I have listened to the music for 50 years. I absolutely love you guys.
Even my Gen Z daughter says that our 1970s generation had the best rock music. All the music sounds as good to me as the very day I heard it years ago!
Im gen z and ill admit its a fact all rock and metal music from the 70s-99 was amazing
Bc was music, bc was...world.
These past couple of years, our world has moved off its axis for many of us. For me, after playing this, it’s moved back in place.
The bass player is freakin' *A-W-E-S-O-M-E* !!!!!
Dance our blues away. The Doobie Brothers always lift my spirits with superb talent and pure joy.
Takes me back to Taylortown Road, shelby ohio. Late 60's, early 70's
One of the BEST bands ever!!!!!!
The real music ever, greetings from Chile 2021....i love it
Fantastic! I never grow tired of this song or seeing you guys play!
Saw in concert in Germany in v11973 great!!!
Yes awesome thanks guys beautiful music 🎶 blessing
Awesome song! Takes me back to my high school years 1976-79
I've just watched this concert on the TV. What a sensational band. Great harmonies and a super tight rhythm section.
I absolutely love love them, all of them! I do miss the vocalist that was with them in the 80s. They all look like they’re still having a great time and so am I at 65.
I listen to them quite often and still love them as much as I did in the 70s in Santa Barbara!
Saw them with Michael McDonald two months ago 50th anniversary Las Vegas and they were still totally awesome!✌️🤩👍
Are they in the music hall of fame?
@@reg12269Yes.
Great song, timeless band, great rendition!
Superb
Doesn't get better than this!
This never gets old! Been listening to the Doobies since their inception in 1970!
The most underrated rock band in history. Tommy and Pat ROCK!
Such a classic! I love the addition of the horns!
the horns spoil it.
Horns, YES!!
Never EVER get tired of listening to this song
Isn't it great how music is a time machine, takes you back
Although not a big country, having lived in Dallas for 8 years in the late '70s I discovered some of Clint Blacks music. A song of Clint's that echos your sentiment about time travel is State of Mind. Very much worth a listen..
Ain't it funny how a melody can bring back a memory
Take you to another place in time
Completely change your state of mind
It can make a right from a wrong, it can make you fall in love
It can get you singin' along
Chase the clouds away and make the sun shine above
Killed it, simply amazing. It's so cool to see legends jamming their hits.
A fantastic concert, I love the dvd, hasn't worn out yet..but close. LOL!
