Fucking hell, William Duvall sounds fantastic on A Little Bitter. His voice is perfect for it. Easily one of his best of the older songs. In the absence of Layne, I am definitely more than okay with hearing it like this.
+Off Limits (Twilight) Yeah, not bad at all. I was surprised when I listened to this because I've listened to the way he sings some of the other Layne era AIC songs and was not too impressed, but he sings this song great!
I honestly hate the studio version, but it's one of my top AIC songs. It's a shame the only decent live version we have is Layne's last show to my knowledge. It's great to hear them keeping it alive with Duvall.
@@ilovetacos210i agree, i never liked the studio version. Any live version from 1993 is far superior to the recording. Especially the one from Frankfurt 93.
I wish they played a little bitter live more. it's like never around anymore since Laynes gone. even when Layne was around they barely ever played it live
@@sdmfbastard they did a few more shows in 96 i guess but basically yeah they stopped for like 2 years. Their last concert before 1996 was played in january 1994...
It's still Alice. Layne would have killed these songs, and the opening on Hollow sounds like something they would have come out with in the 90's.. Awesome! LSMS forever.
One of the best live bands ever, also their new music sounds a amazing, the added guitar Duvall brings really sounds fantastic live and adds to their sound
So if William can kick ass at this song, why can't they produce more songs like it I think the devil put dinosaurs here was kinda blah . Just my opinion. Black gives away to Blue was amazing though! What happened is it because they're getting older and can't write the hard get to your soul music anymore?
William had very little to do with Devil Put Dinosaurs here, he only had one writing credit on it for the song Phantom Limb. So that album was more of a Jerry project.
They seem to gave lost the hooks and riffs they used to have. They're sticking with the droning melodies but it's a bit over done at this point. I put that on Jerry just as a fan's perspective. Think Dam That River, Put You Down, and Again. Catchy, catchy stuff. It's missing now.
his mannerisms always make me laugh honestly. When he sticks his ass out during performing every 50 seconds lol He should leave Layne's songs alone. Layne had everything: the voice, the songwriting skills, the charisma and he was the dark soul of the band basically considering how generic they are now.
lovingklimt they’re Jerry’s songs not Layne’s, Jerry is the one who wrote them and also wrote a bunch of lyrics for the band. Layne wrote 3 songs for AIC with hate to feel/angry chair/head creeps, he was one of The best singers ever but his songwriting was nothing amazing, that was always Jerry who has and always will be the genius of the band and the most important member. Layne is my favorite singer but it’s hilarious how all the Layne dickriders give him credit for music Jerry wrote. Layne was a great singer and some really good lyrics but Jerry has always been just as good a lyricist and 100x the songwriter plus he’s also a good singer and amazing guitarist. So no they aren’t layne’s songs, if they’re anybody’s songs they would be Jerry’s. Why should the band have to stop playing songs Jerry wrote just because Layne is gone, everybody still wishes Layne was around but Will is a great singer and he’s only gotten better with the old material, a lot of people are glad they still get the chance to hear the old material live and see the band in general. They sound amazing live with William, anyone who has seen them on one of their headlining tours for their recent albums knows this
Maybe for dumbasses like yourself, AiC is Jerry, he’s always been the most important member and he always will be, he’s the mastermind behind the band and he’s written almost all of their music. Layne was one of the best singers ever but Jerry is one of the best overall musicians in metal history, he also a good singer, Will is a good singer and guitarist as well, they absolutely crush it live still to this day and put on amazing shows. Get out of here with this hater shit, the band will always be cool as long as Jerry is around and Sean mike and will are fantastic musicians. They make great music and are amazing live, who cares about the so called “coolness” you’re looking for

i agree blown away by that performance
Duvall is awesome. Mad respect for him.
Yeah, but only Layne could sing this song in that scary creepy way ;-)
@picajoool stop comparing lead vocalists dawg they both put on a show im tired of yall not appreciating William with the praise he deserves😭
This and laynes last show are far and away the best performances of a little bitter that we have good recordings of.
Wow, I'm surprised he did so well on a little bitter. My favorite aic song.
Thank you, Jerry Cantrell & Company for resurrecting "A Little Bitter". (5:12)
Always loved that song. Awesome job, DJ.
It really is a great song.

Thank you Will for stepping in to a difficult situation 13yrs ago and just killing it. Jerry you r a God!!!! Thank you boys.
Duvall killed it on Little Bitter
Yes I agree, Will does an amazing job and I believe that Layne would be very proud!
? What video are you guys watching? It don't even sound like he's trying

Yeah he did. Crushed it.
Superb performance of ' A Little Bitter' ! I wish Duvall would sing with that kinda aggression and power more often !
Man, I'd like to see A Little Bitter live.
Duvall is very good. Let him spread his wings more Jerry!
I wonder if Jerry was freaking out just a little inside when Duvall was singing "A little Bitter" cause he fucking nailed it! RIP LSMS
Me too.
I wish they played this more often.
I wish they played a little bitter live more. it's like never around anymore since Laynes gone. even when Layne was around they barely ever played it live
It’s because the song came out in 1993, Alice stopped touring at the end of 93
Dang they stopped that early? So their only other live shows beyond 93 are the mtv unplugged and kiss tour 96'?

This is awesome! A Little Bitter is one of my favorites.
" A Little Bitter" has become a song that makes feel very mischievous. I feel like I'm about to get into trouble.
'A little bitter ' was fucking sic. I'd cream my pants to hear that live
He killed A Little Bitter. Gets to much shit from people. As a massive Layne fan I gotta hand it to him.
what a band!
They sped up Hollow but slowed down A little bitter... Still awesome. Will is great!

Chills when Will starts singing A Little Bitter.
dam, seen them like 10 x since 2009, never seen them do A Little Bitter, fuckers
studio or Live : aic is great

It's weird seeing Cantrell with short hair. I'm used to his long, golden locks. Either way, he looks good.
He quickly grew it back lol
AWESOME
Awesome!
GREAT JOB WILLIAM TRYING THIS SONG
+mostro mos well he is the original singer of Hollow.
@@0509killer I think they mean A Little Bitter

i like the hostile Durvall
2024..anyones??❤
My dream is to turn down Duvall's mic just a little bit, it's so loud that drowns Cantrell's voice even when Jerry is the lead.
Duvall is badass. 😎
Duvall sleighed it!
This time Duvall is ok in "little bitter"
feeling a little bitter myself
