  • in this video I review the RovyVon E5 Angel Eyes Hybrid LITHIUM and AAA powered flashlight. I go over it’s size compared to common EDC everyday carry items like the Benchmade Bugout and Victorinox Pioneer as wells as a AA and AAA battery. I talk about the RovyVon’s size, build construction, overall fit and finish, it’s user interface with different light modes like moonlight and red light mode. Also this light has side mounted lights that are activated by the 2nd clicky button. I show the difference options to run the light on AAA and rechargeable lithium installed battery. I show the glow in the dark body and the swiveling head that allows you to insert and remove a AAA battery. I talk about the water resistance of the light and the pocket clip. I give examples of me using the light at home as well as preparing for hurricane Ian. This light can be fantastic for anything from casual everyday life, camping, a Bugout bag, Bushcraft….basically any role other than Tactical stuff. Which is what makes this light so spectacular. You get so many features packed in but are not forced to have a complicated user interface to use them. And with a max output of 900, you should have plenty of light for just about any adventure.

    Thanks so much and peace! ✌️

    Ui. 4 clicks top button to lock or unlock the light. One click top button moonlight. While in moonlight 3 clicks to change power source. Double click top button for low medium then high. Single click bottom button for side light low then high. Triple click bottom button for uv. Tripple click top button for strobe. Single click top button in stobe to turn off the light quickly. Hold top button to shut off the light in any mode. For memory function, leave light on for 2 min in any mode then shuttoff and light will power on in the last mode used.

    I bought this light a while back. In the interim, it has nevee fixed me a single meal, washed the dishes, cleaned the house, or mowed the lawn. It also did not come with a kitchen sink.
    It seems to always want to default to the AAA battery. The pocket clip is a bit sub-par. I could do without tge strobe. A UV side-light and a front laser would be great.
    I carry 8 or 9 flashlights. I have tried to reduce the quantity, but have not been able to do so without losing functionality. My hope was that this light would combine the functionality of 2 lights, but it failed to do so.
    An EDC light should be waterproof.
    The head clip is somwhat fragile.

    The pocket clip only sits snug on the first notch. At first i thought it was flaw with my unit.
    I don’t understand why didn’t they make those two extra notch the same size as the first one.

    This could be a great option for my guides in South America. They can readily get a AAA and now have the ability to use USB C at home. If I gave them an anker it could work great.

      Thats the dilemma:
      Do you bring a spare batterypack or spare AAAs? Both? Or perhaps a spare torch?

    You may find that the size lights are closer in brightness if the aaa is an alkaline battery, due to the voltage being closer.
    So you know if it supports 14500's? Because the they'd probably be near identical

      The 10440 3.7v might work, however the AA sized 14500 is too big.

      @@JadeGeminiM390 right. 10440. But yes, I found out it does support the voltage on the aaa size. :)

    “Dutch” army knife? Don’t you mean “Swiss”?

    • @JadeGeminiM390
      @JadeGeminiM390  Рік тому +1

      No. This Victorinox (the Swiss company that makes the Swiss Army knife) was contracted by the Dutch Netherlands to make a Dutch Soldier’s Knife off of their M1961 Soldier model. The KL92 is a 1992 Dutch Army Knife. My birth year. 😁

    You can move the clip further back for a deeper carry

    • @JadeGeminiM390
      @JadeGeminiM390  Рік тому

      No. The other points do look like it’s 3 slot adjustable but it is wider on the one closest to the middle of the light. The only thing that can be done is you can flip it to face the other way where it is emitter up and then mount it to a hat.
