The most useful tools on this list are:
1) Duct tape. But any duct tape would do. No need for the "survival" brand.
2) Paracord.
3) Machete/saw.
Everything else here is a gimmick or way too expensive.
I don't know what you're talking about. Who doesn't need a "tactical wallet"?
The compass is something I'd add to that list.
camillus cutlery factory went bankrupt in 2007, burned down in 2011, and the name was bought by another company that is nowhere near camillus.
Thank you for that update.
@@lukeherdaii9528that may be, but my Camillus Carnivore is indestructible and beautiful.
It's okay. My camillus machete broke the first time I used it. They were garbage tools.
420 steel titanium coated. Mine have been super hard to sharpen, and dull out almost instantly.
This is fun to watch even if I think most of it is unnecessary for true survival. 😁The most functional items presented here would be the duct tape and the paracord. Those plus a good knife and you're set.
Agreed, but having looked up a number of items they have terrible reviews, some with almost 20% being in the 1 star (useless, broke, etc) category
For my work I carry in a small backpack a mini fpv drone,a reversed crossbow, paracord and first aid kit. In my belt a tanto,a Browning and a taser. A mini pack with fishing gear, water purifie tablets. 5 ziplock bags. In my pocket a mini flashlight, a compass and special lighter. No food,no tent,no sleeping bag. Travel as light as possible. I am retired now. 58 and apperently my gear was always sufficient.
Must be staying in some pretty decent weather for short periods of time to not need any shelter or warmth.
The hell do you do for a living, man?
these all in one tools are great, right up until you lose it. i'd rather carry 5 or 6 seperate tools then when you lose one it's just an inconvenience not a catastrophe!
I would carry all having a tool for every purpose x 3 and if i lose one job have Many more options but i actually wouldn't lol
Or just carry 6 of the same tool so you have 5 do-it-all spares instead of 6 one job tools. 😂
I'm actually impressed that the flashlight lasts even 15 minutes at the highest setting.
The survival paracord would be better to use as as a hoodie cord. It's all well and good for having it as laces, but then you have no shoelaces if you need to use it .
I think there was an outer layer that pulled off the cord. They go back on as laces. If not maybe version 2.0 lol
@@ourkeving there is but I'm speaking from experience. I use Paracord for laces in a few pairs of boots and had to use them before. If you use just the outer casing, once you tie them you can never untie them. It gets so thin that the knots are tiny and super tight.
It is being used.... As bootlaces....
@@timwhite5562I've done the same thing for years, never happens to me.
@@Zer0fuksMonday’s child has learned to tie his bootlace.
See how they run.
My favorite part of this video is the girl standing under the tree branch as they demonstrate cutting it down 😂
Radna funding was cancelled years ago, do you check any of this?
He just needs the views.
In the middle of a survival emergency, fucking up my shoes in the wilderness is my goto move.
The latest of "must have" for those who have more money than sense.
In all my experiences of them, the rope saws are hell to use. Id rather chew through a log with my teeth.
Ive actually had really great results using them with a new chainsaw chain. I was helping my dad cut some limbs that were 15 - 30 ft off the ground. The trick i found is to have 2 people if possible. If using it single, try to keep the ropes as wide apart as you can manage. It sucks, but it's doable. We were cutting limbs 4" - 8" in diameter.
i agree with you. Never tried one worth anything
I have 2 tentsformers.
Fantastic for kayak camping and sleeping on sandbars. Even has a bug net sold separately.
Yeah every man needs a flashlight that burns holes in things to survive.
I feel like the guy who the made the video has zero experience in survival.
upside down drowning in a jeep and trying to get this little thing to work probably end up dropping it
I am so buying that crossbow. I have a few crossbows. I like the elegance of a crossbow and that high-tech one is a great way to see an elegant, yet high-tech weapon. I have to get that cool machete too. I also have a bunch of them. The simplicity of some weapons and tools makes them so beautiful in an industrial way. Take care, folks!
Gimmicky is an understatement. That backpack sized watch lmao
Just make your own branch saw, 10" chainsaw blade. Cheap around $20.😅😅
Regular chainsaw blades aren’t bidirectional.
I would never rely on Camillus for any survival tools they're cheap quality and don't retain an edge
Just bought a 7inch fresnel lense! Its by far the best no fuel fire kit ive owned! It caught wood on fire so quick im currently nursing a blister on my finger lol😅😅😅
I was thinking about this firestarters features. Just get a box of matches and a lighter with you when you go hiking. Voilà, I've saved you 100 bucks.
(6:04) Great for people who enjoy having tree limbs fall on their heads.
Yep. That's a concussion waiting to happen.
"Duct tape is magic and should be worshiped." -- Astronaut Mark Watney
The man literally bought ponchos from a surplus store. Lmao
The carnivore x is amazing. I bought one. That blade can take some abuse. I have chopped trees up. And smacked some rocks by accident. A must have for all hikers
THE CROSSBOW IS ALL I LIKE IN THIS VIDEO
LOL I love the dude hiking in jeans at 4:30
The poncho idea has been around since world war 0
that " Flash Lite " seem to be very Much Fire Hazard , I would not Keep it my Home nor car with out battery Battery Removed in case accidential Turn on and burn your Car or Home . Should not get Kimds Hand either .
The channel is a drug, once you get into a video there is no going back
#12 - Estream - Chances are, if there’s no electricity in the area, there’s no cellphone tower, so it’s goofy they advertise it that way.
Yeah my cat needs that to add to her EDC multi tool, knife, lighter and 357mag. Kitty is better than me with tech and has her concealed carry permit 😆
My cat is well equipped.
A) 18 built in switch blades.
B) full mouth of hypodermic
needles.
C) and constant PMS.
Oh wait
I possess two of that variety.
And no, they are very good fur
goblins ... currently slave to 16
The _biggest_ problem with the poncho tent is that it will NOT Last. The cheap zipper will give away (just one bad zipper is game over). A rip or normal fabric wearing out is bye bye water resistant (100% guaranteed it's not waterproof). Trust me, it's better to have a single purpose device.
One Tigris makes good kit. I'd be surprised if it fails easily.
This stuff is cute. Most of its not too practical or cheap quality, but it's fun to look at.
Survival Laces, I've only been making my own for the last 45 years, just like so very many others.
Why feature items like endure pen which hasn’t been available since 2017? Useless
That carnivour is awesome the machete and the case are awesome and its only 29:99 now at wally world
For .25 seconds I was asking myself "Why the F*cK do they sell machetes at a fictional theme park?" 🤕
@@slowpoke6743Yeah, it’s a common nickname for Walmart, but you must have figured that.
The Mjolnir pendants are $174-$426. They look cool but thats outrageous considering you can get survival pendants that do more for less than $50
DEW in your hand...how handy...will it melt cars like in the MAUI "Wildfires"!
Once a decade or so, they come out with a new miracle poncho. None come close to the one from the 1980s.
so are we just gonna ignore the entire survival kit that outdoor ducttape came from? min 2:45
yup...ALL too much$$$$
SHOP AROUND...
Love this channel, shout out from south Australia 🇦🇺
I'm guessing the Baha shovel is junk.
Like most things trying to do everything, succeed at nothing....
You can do all of that with regular duct tape 😂
Wow, since they came out with CREE LEDs, I haven't seen a flashlight beam with dark areas. I remember back when MagLite & Streamlight competed to design a Police flashlight that didn't cast a beam with that annoying "Black Hole" in the center.
...Most maglites have (or had, got mine decades ago) a lense you could focus by rotating the "head" of the flashlight. So there is only a black hole in the center if you focus the light in a super wide angle. Otherwise, you get full illumination in the center.
I think I saw that shovel in Dora the explorer movie when Dora digs up o small poo hole😂
If u carry two small bottles one with veg glycrine and the other with Potassium permag if u mix em they start a chen reaction and u dont need a lot either
That pendant model had a black eye😂. Stop fighting before your shoot!
That poncho tent was pretty cool 😎
You always bring a smile to my face! 😊
I love that I can add a fleshlight to the crossbow. I won't just be shooting arrows😅
"It weighs just 800 grams!" Visual on screen says '2 oz'... For anyone that's not into baking or selling drugs, 2oz is roughly 56 grams.
that flashlight is really useful if your name is alan wake
Cutting down a limb that you're sawing from underneath is gonna require some emergency aspirins. Just saying.
Very Good Video..Thanks!
I Like the Shovel and the multi purpose flashlight..👍
The thumb nail one I would get just for fun and yes just for pure fun
the portable estream generator what i would do is offer larger propellers made out of ppf or cardboard that in a windy day you can set it up in a field n a tripod or something similar like windmills of old.
If survival becomes a real issue, you probably won't be laden with gadgets. UA-cam gives you a full pack of supplies. Reality gives you underwear and flipflops.

That shovel needed more air time that was the gem in here.
Awaiting for your clip that can teach us how to survive in the city without money
some interesting tech here, but there is the problem. For survival, tech items are not the best - the batteries wear out, other items have limited life, GPS doesn't work in many wilderness areas etc. We are better off learning survival techniques using non-tech or natural stuff available in the wild. Learn how to navigate with sun, stars, maps and compasses. Learn how to navigate from the terrain.
can a condom be a survival thing to have?lol
Kind like that compass
Atta guy that’s what u get… lol u get an atta guy 😎
The RADNA GPS/tracker was cancelled back in 2019.
Pls do more stuff like that! Never miss the new uploads
None of these devices make sense. They're just money grabs 😂
There is nothing in this video that should be on any preppers list. This is the kind of garbage you buy from Amazon or Ronco, then immediately regret it.
Thank you, useful tool, I'm most impressed with the crossbow
I have both the camilus carnivore ans dae theyre both great for the price. They're not high end quality by any means but they get the job done
I don't like the carnivore. The handle doesn't fit my hand and when you strike something hard with it it sends painful reverberations into your hand and through your wrists. Also the serrated teeth are garbage, too large to make a good saw and they catch on things.
6:04 R.I.P 😢
I’ve got the Carnivore X. The saw on the back is the best feature of it
Name of the video should be 16 worthless survival gadgets nobody should buy...
💯
True, this show that, the maker of the video know nothing about useful survival gadgets
Yeah who would need a fire starter in a survival situation anyways???
The shoelaces are crying. Lol
Agreed, but still funny to watch dumb gadgets lol😂
Expensive too!!!
So much random stuff we gotta deal with
Don't get drunk at camp and tell ghost story s with that flashlight🎃🥳🤡👹👺👽👾👻👻👻👻👻
No matter how great the content is, I never subscribe to ppl who clickbait...
At :41 you can turn it into a hang glider.
Didn't realize there are survival items that only men would appreciate. Thanks to the title I know I can just skip the video!
See a man was useful, saved you time and from having to learn anything, say it with me ", Ahhhhmen " 😂
Are all of these still a concept?
If your living a life where you need any of this your doing it wrong lol
Pfft! That's been around for decades!
Pfft! You have two prepositions in a row!
That steambow is not a survival gadget!!
Cutting your shoelaces to get paracord and tinder is an unbelievably bad idea. These are mostly expensive gimmicks.
Restore the UA-cam dislike count!
2:59 "Protect yout[sic] feet"
Why do I get resident evil 4 remake vibes from the crossbow.
I'm still thinking about technology, even I'm a truck driver😂
Ah yes im now safe from the Demogorgon thanks man!
The only usefull gadget ist the Axe with the sawblade
300$ arbalète 👍🏻
This was hilarious!!!
16 items for the man-child who has more money then sense.
What? That’s a ridiculous sentiment.
@@vickielawson3114 well you're entitled to your opinion, as am I.
But that Crossbow is being used by a, by a… WOMAN in the promo pic! You said these were for Men! /s
Transgender😂
@@flyfishing1776Lol 😂
Go broke buying these toys and you won’t be able to afford going into the woods to use them.
You can't be too poor to go to the woods
The baha shovel is not very high quality. The AR6 crossbow ont he other hand, is.
I really want that cross bow
I had so much fun watching the video. Camping is really fun specially when you have the right gadgets to make the experience comfortable as it could while having fun.
Expensive but genius gadgets!
Idk thst bow gun is clean
Oh man I could really go for a big bowl of mashed sweet potatoes with a little butter and fresh ground black pepper 🤤
You and me my guy
Add a little ginger and maple syrup and you're good to go!
16 bad ideas that conned people on kickstarter
