    I have had 4 c-sections.
    First 2 were emergency, last 2 were elective.
    I was not meant to carry my last 3 kids as my uterus lining was so thin. With baby number the female surgeons were absolutely fantastic, they even sewed my uterus and did some fancy thing to make thick again, said I was good to go to carry another 3/4 kids, that didn’t mean my scaring area would stand up to being cut and sewed again that many times, just my uterus could carry more kids if we chose to with very high risks as I’m already a high risk. But hey.

      9 months between my 1st and 2nd and 9 months between 2nd and 3rd even though we tried every to not get pregnant with baby #3.
      I just can’t labour so I have to have baby 2 weeks early. First to babies I went over my due date so docs were confident that I wouldn’t go into labour early with baby 3 or 4, they were right cause both weren’t even ready to come out. Haha

    This is a concern I have once my husband and I have our first kid. We haven't started trying yet but we don't have the luxury of time to space them. For context, I'm gonna be 33 next month and he's gonna be 40 next year. Let's say I get pregnant right away when we start trying. I'll be 34 by the time the baby is born and I won't have much time before 35 hits. I'm well aware of the risks associated with being advanced maternal age but what would you recommend in that case?

      Research suggests waiting 18 to 24 months but less than five years after a live birth before attempting your next pregnancy.

    What happens if you get pregnant before 18 months?? Can it be life threatening? I ask because I’m 9 months PP with my 3rd baby (3rd c section) and I found out yesterday I’m 5 weeks pregnant.

      I got pregnant 11 months after my 3rd c-section. I started having some stretching type pain late in my third trimester so they did my c-section a week earlier than planned at 38 weeks because I was begging them to lol. Turned out my scar was really thin, but it did hold up and everyone was fine and healthy. I got scar revision surgery 5 years later and just had my 5th c-section just fine and was told I can even keep on having more. So, more than likely you’ll be fine just stay in tune with your body!

    Um more research is needed if the recommended time is the same after having all your organs removed and put back in 😮

    Ok ok! I have a major question! Can you choose whether to have a c-section or a vaginal birth?

    • @godsgoldenacres4290
      @godsgoldenacres4290 Місяць тому

      You can't force a Dr to do an elective c section but many will.

    • @nancyjohnson6557
      @nancyjohnson6557 Місяць тому +1

      Yes, you can choose. If you’re healthy and baby is healthy it’s recommended to not get cut open unnecessarily. If you’re looking to do a VBAC some doctors might recommend c-section instead because the scar tissue is not as strong as if there wasn’t a scar, but in most cases, especially if the scar has had plenty of time to heal, it should be plenty strong enough to have a VBAC. That would be something that you should talk to your doctor about.

      Who would want a c section 😮

    • @shannasalvatore2631
      @shannasalvatore2631 26 днів тому

      Doctors that don’t want to give the option of a vbac is because there is a high risk of uterine rupture during labor. Life threatening to both mother and baby.

    • @nancyjohnson6557

      @@stephybobo1991 some people are more scared of natural birth than major surgery. Personally I prefer natural birth, I haven’t had a c- section but I know several women who have. The recovery time tends to be shorter with natural birth and I have heard that the natural birth process has a bunch of benefits for the baby too.

    This is exactly how I found out birth control controls my mind into thinking suicidal thoughts. Had a c-section, took nexplanon to prevent pregnancy, begged them in tears to remove it a few weeks later, got pregnant 6 months after my c-section, had a safe and uncomplicated home birth.

      Omg I’m pregnant now after having a c-section 9/10 months ago. OBGYN keeps telling me a natural birth isn’t possible and to just plan for a c section! Thank you so much for your comment! I wish there were more videos about women who had health pregnancies and deliveries after a previous C-section (less than 18 months ago)!

    • @tracy3418

      @@TeatimewithTezthere are reasons not to attempt a vbac so quickly. My uterus partially ruptured because of practice contractions before my C-section at 35 weeks. A full rupture only happens 5% of the time or so.

      Knowing where you are in your cycle and what happens in different parts of your cycle can help. Getting your hormones tested is another thing that could possibly help as it can inform you about what your body needs.
