The step-by-step video you provided was excellent! I'm a 57-year-old woman who hasn't changed the oil for my car in over 30 years. But since I can't drive the zero turn to an oil change place, I had to do this on my own. Your step-by-step video made it easy and gave me confidence. My ZT2 is only two and a half years old but with only 34 hours on it. This is the first oil change. I wasn't going to let it go to 100 hours because that would take three more years. Before this mower, I'd used electric mowers and I was concerned I wouldn't be able to keep up with this one. Now I know I can. Thank you!

Thanks man. I got mine all done. Used a pipe wrench to hold the hose in place, 3/8 impact to take it off (barely broke it free). First time using that style of filter wrench thats all I had as well, sucks but it works. Got it all done. I pulled the hose back above the frame, caught the plug as it loosed and popped it back thru before removing.
Mine has the kholer 7000 series 24hp, the air filter is half the size of yours and after 7 hours it is filthy. Dissapointed in kholer for that one.

The drain plug on mine is NOT coming off. I don't know what they used to install it -- maybe a welder, or the Hulk with an air wrench. But I'm done trying. I suppose I'll cut the hose just above the non-removable plug assembly and use hose clamps and a plug of my own. Seriously, Cub Cadet, was using eleven hundred million foot-pounds of torque on that bolt necessary?

      @@DIYJIM Thanks! Love your videos.
I tried heating the assembly with a torch in hopes of liquifying the thread lock sealant. That didn't work either. I struggled for a while with wrenches trying to free it, then just cut the hose about 4 inches below the bottom end. I took the severed end to the hardware store. Walked out with less than 15 bucks in parts (copper fitting with hose end and 3/8 inched threaded end, a cap to fit, and two 5/8 inch hose clamps). Replaced the unturnable drain end and it works perfectly, no leaks, no hours spent trying to loosen the un-looseable. I love my ZT-1 though! Great mower with a single (annoying) flaw.
